Although our practice consists primarily of healthy pediatric dental patients, we take great pride in being able to treat medically and behaviorally challenged pediatric patients that most other practices are unable or unwilling to take care of. My special area of interest is in treating many of these complex patients, both in officeas well as under general anesthesia, should they require it. In many cases, these patients have been unable to obtain care at multiple dental offices. The palpable relief that I see amongmany parents of our special needs patients when they learn that they can finally get the treatment their child deserves and needs in a manner that is caring, compassionate, and nurturing, without having to compromise on quality, makes it all worthwhile.

To quote Emerson, To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed better, because you have lived. That is what the profession of pediatric dentistry is all about. Dr. Sayany

Dr. Sayany has practiced pediatric dentistry since 1993 and stays uptodate on the latest advances in dentistry by maintaining active membership in numerous prestigious professional organizations, such as the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

He is a past president of the New Jersey Association of Pediatric Dentistryand has taught asanassistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Alec Robin is from Southern California and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma majoring in Biology and minoring in Spanish and Chemistry. He also focuses on treating children with disabilities, utilizing techniques like desensitization and preventive dentistry to avoid the need of general anesthesia, when possible. Dr. Robin spends his free time trying new restaurants, rock climbing, and traveling with his wife, Elana, and dog, Latke.

Dr. Jessica H. Yi has lived in many cities - as north as New Hampshire and as south as Georgia. She completed her undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Connecticut College with a semester abroad in Madrid, Spain. Dr. Yi remained in Philadelphia for her residency in pediatric dentistry, splitting her time between the University of Pennsylvania and the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Yi enjoys experimenting with sourdough breads, Yin yoga, performing in a flute choir, and spending time outdoors with her friends and family.

'Oral health is not only about removing caries. It has an intricate relationship with nutrition, sleep hygiene, speech development, and systemic health. I am looking forward to being part of the team to help children develop and maintain ideal oral health as well as to have positive experience at the dentist as it gives me great joy.' ~Dr. Jessica

Dr. Yi is great , office staff is not helpful at all , I was over charged for my son's dental procedure , its been more than 2 months since claim is finalized by insurance , I called multiple times to talk to " offce manager " she is never in the office , voice mail box is full , left many massages with other staff members , never recived call back from her , this is not acceptable and not legal to charge patients more than insurance copayment.

Dr Sayany and his team were great to work with for my sons lip and tongue tie. He took the time to explain everything in great detail and make sure we felt good about the procedure. He also does not do the procedure the same day like some others I've heard of. He wants to make sure you and the baby are properly prepared which I think helped make the process smoother. We took our son to get bodywork done before the release to loosen any tension and worked with our lactation consultant. It's less than 2 weeks and my son is doing better than I could imagine! I didn't think he was struggling as much as he was prior to the release. The difference in his ability to open his mouth and use his tongue is shocking. The first day he latched immediately without issues, the next few days weren't as smooth but after about a week or so we found our rhythm. Our pediatrician wasn't concerned about his weight gain or the ties but I'm so glad I followed through with getting him evaluated with Dr Sayany. His weight was continuing to drop % and since the procedure he's easily gained ~1lb (in the prior month he only gained 1/2 lb) AND he's sleeping so much better 7-9 hr stretches at night. Thank you Dr Sayany!

What a great experience! We are visiting the area from out of state when a dental emergency struck. Dr. Robin and his team fit us in and made the experience as pleasant as possible. He communicated very well with my 7 year old that had high anxiety around dental visits. Can not recommend enough!

This office is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! My daughter is 6 years old and not very fond of the dentist. We had 2 failed attempts with another pediatric dentist to get cavities filled. They recommended sedation, but I found this office and thought we would give it a try. I am so happy I did. Dr. Maya is AMAZING. I don't know how she did it, but the cavities were filled in a half an hour, not a single tear! My daughter was actually giggling while having the work done! She wouldn't even get on the chair at our previous dentist. The assistants and office staff were also super friendly. It's clear that really care about the children they serve. AMAZING!

My wife has been taking our oldest child here for sometime with no issues. Today my wife took our two younger kids to the office for a cleaning and was treated completely out of line by one of the hygienists and Dr. Maya. She was yelled at for taking a picture of our child, not knowing there was a rule about taking pictures. My wife is a grown women and if there is an issue she should be spoken to respectfully and told the rule. she would have no problem following. Additionally, the hygienist them ran and talked about my wife to a Dr. Maya. Dr. Maya then came in with a rude demeanor, examines my two kids and then walked out without explaining what she saw in their mouths. My wife then found out about the embarrassing amount of cavities for both kids and there severity from the front receptionist as she had to make multiple future appointments which not to mention will cost a significant amount of money. How does a dentist not explain to a parent that their kids have numerous cavities and one is close to and abscessed? My recommendation is to avoid Dr. Maya and the hygienist who's name we are not sure of. Two stars because the front receptionist was kind and understanding.

The staff and dentist were all very nice. It was my autistic daughters first successful dentist appointment. She isn't the most cooperative child, and they knew what approach to take and handled everything very professionally. We're so glad to have found a facility with an experienced and patient staff. I will be switching all of my children to this practice, and this is a 45 minute drive for us!

I decided to try this place out because I have a special needs child. He had to get fillings because of his cavities. My son was very nervous from the beginning, he was given gas to calm him down it did not work. He was given the needle so he wouldn't feel anything but he was already worked up. So instead of waiting for my son to calm down and not move it was given to him while he was moving. Meanwhile my son is screaming on the top of his lungs. They continued to do the filling I could tell the numbing did not work as well because he was still upset and trying to move there hands out of his mouth. My son was not the easiest I must say, he did end up closing his mouth and biting so he got yelled at and told to not do that again while his mouth was kind of shoved. The doctor has the nerve to say if you would shut up I could get done quicker. First off very unprofessional Dr. G the child is already upset like that would make it any better.Second if you don't have the patience to work with special needs kids then don't work with a child with special needs. If you don't have the patience your in the wrong profession. I will never come back to this place ever again.

This is the most AMAZING pediatric dentist office that I've ever been to! My daughter has been a patient here for years now. The whole team is phenomenal! This office is the best of the best! Top notch service and care for children's dentistry. Thank you Dr. Maya Thompson for all of your concern and help, you are the very best!!! I won't soon forget what you have done for my daughter.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. My son is brain-injured, and the dentist would not even look at him without having us shell out $300 to book an operating room so they could put him under. They also wanted us to sign something saying they basically could do anything they liked once they were in there, i.e. capping his teeth, and that we would be willing to pay the thousands of dollars associated with that. They are crooks, and they will try to rip you off...especially when you have a child who already requires a lot of care and expense.

Such a great experience at this practice! My 5 week old daughter needed treatment of her tongue, lip, and buccal ties. Dr. Sayany spent 2 hours (before we even committed to the procedures) with us explaining why the ties were affecting her negatively, how she would benefit from the release, and how the process worked as well as post-procedure care. She is now 5 months old and doing incredibly well, we will be bringing her back at 12 months for her first official dentist visit. My only complaint is that I'm too old to see Dr. Sayany myself!
