Dr. Kris W. Hendricks and his family moved to Santa Fe so he could join Dentistry for Kids. In July 2010, he purchased the office from Dr. Evans, allowing Dr. Evans to retire. Dr. Hendricks studied liberal arts and music at Brigham Young University before moving to Kansas City to begin his dental studies at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He was a four-year scholarship recipient and graduated with honors in pediatric and restorative dentistry.

Following dental school, Dr. Hendricks attended an intensive two-year hospital residency in pediatric dentistry at St. Joseph Hospital for Specialty Care in Providence, Rhode Island. During residency, he became competent in all facets of pediatric dentistry, including surgery, sedation, treatment of trauma, and orthodontics.

Dr. Hendricks is a board certified Diplomate with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and New Mexico Dental Association. He is a staff member at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe and Holy Cross Hospital in Taos.

Dr. Hendricks finds the relationships he develops with his patients and their families to be the best part of his work. He enjoys joking and telling children stories while he provides treatment to them. He wants his patients to enjoy their visits and develop a healthy relationship with dentistry.

As a parent of three kids, he understands the unpredictability of life with children. He tries to make himself available for his patients whenever problems arise. He believes strongly in a preventative approach to dentistry combined with the most up-to-date science and technology.

Dr. Aine Malone was born and raised in rural town of Chester, Texas, where the population is less than 300. She attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with a BA in French. After that she attended the Baylor College of Dentistry.

In 2004, Dr. Malone moved to New Mexico. She worked in community health at Las Clinicas del Norte before recently getting the opportunity to join Dentistry for Kids. Dr. Malone is glad to be here; her philosophy of care aligns very well with the team here at DFK. She strongly believes in ensuring every child is met with a welcoming dental experience. By doing so, she knows it will establish a relationship of trust. With that and patient education, it can ensure a lifetime of healthy teeth.

Dr. Gonzalez was born in Santa Monica, California and later moved to Centreville, Virginia where he spent the majority of his growing up years. In high school, he was involved with choir, theatre and scouts. During college, he found that he had his father 's knack for doing magic and has since performed at kid 's birthday parties and talent shows as 'The Great Gonzo'. Having his career involved with children, Dr. Gonzalez has found an excuse to use magic in the office and loves to put on a magic show whenever he can.

In 2014, Dr. Jason Gonzalez moved to Santa Fe with his family to further his career as a dentist. He attended Brigham Young University-Idaho where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He was awarded a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Dr. Gonzales completed a two year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the Childrens Mercy Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Gonzalez's main area of interest is pediatric dental health. Since his dental school training, he has worked primarily with children, teens and patients with disabilities in Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico.

Dr. G's goal as a dental health provider is to provide quality dental care and promote an educational foundation that will lead to a lifetime of excellent oral health. His passion is to create a dental office encounter such that children feel good about their smiles, and about themselves. He hopes to help their confidence grow. There are few professions that offer that kind of fulfilling opportunity.

Dr. Gonzalez is married and has three children who love drawing, riding bikes and enjoy playing in the water during the hot summer days. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar and performing magic.

Dr. Hall grew up in Portland, Oregon where he was raised a die hard Trail Blazer basketball fan. Sports has always been a big part of his life and he currently plays pickleball any chance he gets. He attended undergrad at Portland State University and earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health and Science University.

After graduating dental school in 2017, he has worked exclusively in pediatric dentistry between El Paso and Santa Fe. His main focus as a dentist is to help kids feel like they are in a fun and safe environment while providing excellent clinical care. Dr. Hall strives to educate parents to understand how to best help their childs oral health.

Dr. Stephen Tanner grew up in Oakland, California and attended UC Berkeley, majoring in Zoology. He then graduated from UCLA dental school and completed his orthodontic residency at UCSF. Dr. Tanner has been creating beautiful smiles for over 25 years at his private practice in Concord, California. Dr. Tanner is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics and the World Federation of Orthodontics. He is also one of the top Invisalign providers in North America, having treated over 500 cases.

Dr. Tanner moved to Santa Fe in the summer of 2015 to start a new chapter. He had visited Santa Fe for many years, returning again and again to their beloved home on the eastside. Dr. Tanner feels very blessed to have met Dr. Hendricks and join Dentistry for Kids team. He is excited to lend his orthodontic expertise and care to the families of Santa Fe and the surrounding communities of northern New Mexico.

Dr. Tanner likes to visit their oldest daughter, Justine, in San Francisco and travel to New York to see his middle daughter, Alexandra. In addition, Dr. Tanner enjoy skiing in the winter, hiking in the summer and just being outdoors. He is also an animal lover: Tim the dog along with his cat sidekicks, Blackie and Sophie, round out the Tanner household.

HORRIBLE !!!!!!The rudest receptionist I have ever spoken to.i called to reschedule and left a message as they never answer the phone.she returned call but i missed it.She said call until 5:30 ,which i tried again. Then i was awoken at 7:30 in the morning w/ her condescending voice saying i had left a message as if it was an emergency, which i had only asked to reschedule. She continued in her condescending attitude saying she had tried to call etc and i just asked if i could reschedule. So she gave me an apt a month away, where as the 1st time i called she gave me a next day apt w/ the worst tone in her voice as if to punish me for calling the day before to cancel the apt i was given to soon. Anyhow I would never go to a place that keeps such a rude scheduling receptionist.BEWARE THIS PLACE IS NOT NICE.I WOULD NEVER TAKE MY KID THERE! You are correct!.I will never come to your place..Is the receptionist married to the owner???i have never encountered such a rude person.i would fire her!!!!

This place went above and beyond for my son. The hospital coordinator was very helpful and I appreciate her patience and helping me through the whole process. Driving two hours to bring my kids here I will never regret because I know they're in excellent hands. Highly recommend and a big thank you to the dentists and staff they have.

We took a chance and came here after having terrible experiences at our prior pediatric dentistry. I'm so thankful this was a wonderful experience and my children are building trust with dentistry again. My daughter came with extremely high anxiety to the point that I could feel my own anxiety rising. The waiting room was packed and I thought for sure we would be waiting past our time, but they kept on schedule and took everyone within 10 mins. There were immediately tears after 2 attempted x-rays, but the dental assistant was quick to implement plan B instead of forcing my daughter to proceed with standard procedures. This was a huge game changer for my daughter that created instant trust! Her shaking stopped and she was compliant for the entirety of the cleaning and exam. My 3 year old son was in and out of his cleaning within less than 10 mins, so no chance for him to get squirmy. My kids now have confidence to come back! I'm glad I don't have to spend the next several weeks calming oral anxieties or bribing them to get through the next visit!

I have been trying to get my daughter an appointment for months for a failing root canal and they never answer the phone, don't return calls after I left messages and text messages!

I called Monday because my daughter was having dental pain from the dentist filling her cavities too much (that is what they told us). Mind you this was the second time that they did this to her. I don't know if the dentist who worked on her is inexperienced or just is careless. But I find it concerning that not only has this happened a second time but that I still haven't received a call back after leaving two messages. The first one I call first thing Monday morning when she was having the pain and just now at 4:30. I am also wondering why their receptionist isn't calling people back, especially when they call about their child's tooth pain. This dental practice use to be good, but they have gone down hill. Constantly screwing up on dental work, not calling patients back. Clearly they don't care. I will be taking my children somewhere else in the future.

Have taken my daughter there for over decade before it became a huge profit machine. What caused me to cut those ties is that the wait became unbearable, with 30-40 minutes pass your appointment, but that is not the main reason. When we were scheduled over a month in advance for a filling, supposedly, they have a 10 minute grace period to be allowable to be late. I was never made aware of that policy, and living almost an hour away, that is something I can't always control. They cancelled our appointment after I was already 10 minutes away from the office on the road, and had to take time off and pull my child from school. Made us feel very impersonal and unreasonable. It is not the same as it used to be when it was nice small dentistry practice. It is just a huge profit machine that doesn't care about what efforts all of the parents make to take their kids there. So I would never recommend this place to anyone.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing the staff and Dr. Hendricks are! My son had dental work done at Taos Holy Cross Hospital under anesthesia just yesterday. We were very anxious for the procedure, however everything went great! Everyone was very attentive and kind throughout the whole encounter. We were told step by step everything that would happen and I received updates once my son was under anesthesia, after the procedure was complete, and as soon as he went into recovery. Any time a kiddo goes under anesthesia it can be very nerve racking, but I cannot recommend Dentistry for Kids enough!!! Absolutely amazing experience!!!! So very thankful!
