Dr. Cissy K. Furusho received her B.S. in biology from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and graduated with her D.D.S., her pediatric certificate, and her masters in oral biology from UIC College of Dentistry. She holds a certificate in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. She is highly involved in the American Association of Women Dentists and is also very active as a member in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Furusho is also a clinical instructor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College ofDentistry.
She enjoys riding her bicycle and loves to bake and spend time with her family. Dr. Furusho is very excited to be working with her pediatric dentist Dr. Berman and feels very fortunate to have found a wonderful partner in Dr. Kollmann. She looks forward to being an important part in your childrenslives!
Dr. Kirk Kollmann graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry and received his pediatric dental degree from Childrens Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. Keeping with his hospital background, he is a clinical instructor and volunteers his time working with the Cleft Palate Craniofacial Team at Childrens Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kollmann has taken extensive continuing education in the field of Orafacial Myofunctional Therapist by the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. He serves as a spokesperson for the Chicago Dental Society and is involved in various aspects of organizeddentistry.
He loves to be the do-it-yourself craftsman, being proficient in electricity, carpentry, woodworking, plumbing, etc. Computers and gadgets are another one of his hobbies. He holds great respect for his partner Dr.Furusho.
Hello! Im Cassidy and I have been a part of the Dentistry for Kids team since 2012! Im am excited and ecstatic to be working with such a fantastic and friendly team. I attended Gordon Tech and graduated from Evanston Township High School. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy watching, playing and attending all Chicago sports games. I also enjoy cooking, shopping and traveling. My latest adventure is Peru and hiking Machu Picchu. Im looking forward to seeing our patients and parentseveryday!
Deneaqua (Nicky), an important part of Dentistry for Kids for the last 9 years is a qualified expanded function dental assistant having successfully completed her certification in coronal polishing and sealant placement. She has 4 children Lakyhia, Raymond, Lajarius and Aujulay and her grandchild, Deontae.

Responsive,patient,knowledgeable and fast. I still don't like that they don't allow parents back with the kids. My child had a very positive experience after a major dental injury.

Professional, skillful group of dentists. My kids usually see Dr Furuso but her partner is also great. Their support team is always courteous and helpful. We have been going to them since my first child was 3 years older. Now she is college and so she will miss them. I refer many people to them and they are very grateful that I did. The kids are in a comfortable place with caring team so are not scared or fret about their dentist appointment Another 6 months, another appointment. Realized the office has an emergency line to contact the provider without all the phone trees and waiting on the phone. Quick response and no mumbo jumbo like many healthcare providers (understandably may be short staffed). Not in this office - everyone in the office is professional and kind, truly like to deal with kids. Paperwork for school or getting access to pictures -- all easy-peasy. No extra charges and no ridiculous turn around time. 5 stars still.

11/10 They had my brother & I since we were kids & about 20 years later, they are still and ALWAYS so professional, patient, sweet, friendly, understanding, sincere, genuine, and excellent in what they do. Every visit is memorable, from the welcoming receptionists, to the hardworking assistants, the conservations and interactions I have with the doctors I've known for years, etc. They are incredibly helpful in their guidance on how to better take care of our teeth and they even let patients play on their iPads, watch the greatest Pixar movies of all time, and have prizes after their treatment; thanks so much for always having me & I'm truly in awe after my dentists appointments there~ go go Dentistry For Kids

The care we received was great. The assistant and dentist took their time to answer my questions about my daughter's frenectomy. I was surprised, however, that several adults and children were allowed by the front desk staff to hang out in the waiting area unmasked. I'm sure the staff is avoiding conflict, but I chose to wait outside after a family of 6 waited unmasked/wearing masks incorrectly.

Staff super friendly and competent (I love Nick!) and the space is perfect to make the kids feel comfortable. Our son loves going there! Can't recommend enough!

I was alittle uncomfortable about them bringing my 2 year old in the back alone. The negative reviews seems to feel the same way. I get why they do it. Kids feel more inclined to cry when the parent is there but I honestly feel very uncomfortable about. However, their services are amazing. The atmosphere is set up for kids and they are kind to the kids. Still very uncomfortable about them taking my kid away and I won't change my mind. But the business itself it's great.

Dentistry for kids is the best! Dr Furusho has a great relationship with our kids and her work is top notch. The facilities are clean and high tech and the staff are responsive, welcoming and friendly to to parents and kids. Our kids are always happy to go for checkups. And when we've needed an emergency appointment for a chipped tooth, etc we've never had a problem getting in to see the doc. Top notch!

This is the first time I review a professional service. I have a special needs son and they are phenomenal with him. My son had some pretty scary experiences with various dentists. Dentistry for kids is an hour away from my home but it is worth my peace of mind. You're the best!
