Our owner and pediatric dentist, Dr. Amy Waxman, hopes for every child to have a fun and positive experience at the dentist and hopes to alleviate fears for anxious children. Her primary goal is to develop long lasting relationships with her patients and their families and to provide the best care possible in a warm, caring, and child friendly environment.
Dr. Amy received her undergraduate education from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. She then spent a year in Washington, DC where she worked for the Childrens Dental Health Project, a non-profit organization that promotes policies to improve childrens access to oral health. Dr. Amy then went on to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts where she graduated with a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Amy completed a two-year residency program in pediatric dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry and Bellevue Hospital. While in residency, she participated in two week-long dental outreach trips to treat the dental needs of an underserved community in Nicaragua.
After graduation, Dr. Amy worked as an associate at a pediatric dental practice in Long Island, New York, where she gained invaluable experience working with children. Dr. Amy is NERB, CPR, and PALS certified and is an active candidate for board certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Raritan Valley Study Club.
Dr. Lisa Honig, our orthodontist, loves working with her patients to give them the smile they want and deserve. She looks forward to developing lasting relationships with her patients and their families as they undergo the smile transformation process together.
Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Dr. Lisas interest in orthodontics was first piqued at an early age spending summers helping at her fathers orthodonticpractice. She has been pursuing a career in this rewarding field ever since.
Dr. Lisa graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Since in Psychology. She then moved on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she was inducted into the national dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Lisa completed a three-year residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, where she was named Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Lisas training has exposed her to hundreds of challenging orthodontic treatments, including interceptive, comprehensive, and orthognathic surgery cases.
Dr. Lisa is trained and certified in a multitude of orthodontics techniques, including metal and ceramic braces, Invisalign, self-ligating brackets, expanders, and laser dentistry. Dr. Lisa is ADEX and BLS certified, is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, and is board certifiedfrom the American Board of Orthodontics.

Alyssa has been a registered hygienist for 10 years and has worked exclusively in pediatrics for the last 4 years. She has a passion for helping children establish good dental habits and techniques. Her goal is to guide your child towards having a healthy mouth for life!
Jeanne has been a dental hygienist for over 25 years.She is passionate about dental health and loves what she does. She enjoys educating and encouraging patients to maintain good oral health. She loves getting to know her patients and building long-term relationships.
Susan has been an assistant for more than 30 years. She graduated from Middlesex County College and is a certified and registered dental assistant. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and especially working with children and watching our patients grow.
Sthephany has been working in the dental industry for over 7 years. She graduated from dental school in the Dominican Republic and continued her studies at the The Dental Studies Institute of NJ, where she became a Certified Dental Radiologic Technologist. Sthephany is a very enthusastic and outgoing person that loves to work with kids!

We had our visit here today for our daughter. My daughter was nervous and quiet when we went in, however, they were so nice and friendly, my daughter loved it. She was herself after few minutes. The whole setup and the warm welcome for the nurse was amazing. We went to this place after reading good reviews and we were not disappointed.

I called the office after 3pm and they were able to fit my son in for a 5:30 apt, as a new patient. My ten year old son was really nervous about seeing the dentist, and the team at Dentistry for Kids was wonderful with him. They had so much patience and they were very understanding and kind, and they answered all his questions. Waxman has a gentle manner, and she answered all our questions, and explained everything clearly, and her office team is outstanding. I highly recommend this dental office/team, especially if your kids are nervous or concerned about seeing the dentist.

Dr. Amy was recommended to me by other local moms and I was not disappointed! The office and staff were very welcoming and patient with my 3-year-old. Dr. Amy herself was also very patient and was thorough and quick with cleaning my son's teeth. Afterwards, she recapped everything she did and saw during the visit and gave me easy to follow guidance to help keep my son's teeth healthy. As an added bonus, when I went to make his next appointment I learned they are also open on Saturdays! I can see why Dr. Amy and her staff are so highly recommended and I'll definitely be recommending her to any parents looking for a great dentist for their kids!

Excellent experience for my both kids. Doctor and staff members are so warm and welcoming. They are really good with the kids. Thay make kids comfortable for there dental visit before starting doing anything. Office was clean and no wait time. I would highly recommend them.

Had a great visit for both of my kids. The people who work here are caring which is most important need for small kids. My son is scared of going to doctor (too many vaccines in young age) but when I say dentist he is excited.

This has been the best experience thus far visiting a dentist office. Everyone is so welcoming. They made my kids very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this office. Everyone is very patient. The office is very clean. You cannot walk in without getting your temperature read and hands sanitized. They made it a walk through the park for my children. Greatly appreciated.
