Dr. Erik Rooklidge loves working with children and watching them grow up. His priority is giving your little ones a pleasant experience so theyll form a positive association with the dentist for years to come!
Dr. Rooklidge received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah and then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Iowa in 2001. Additionally, he completed two years of specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the Eastman Dental Center/Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester.
Dr. Rooklidge is a board-certified pediatric dentist who can care for all children, including those with special needs. He dedicates himself to providing the best dental care possible for his patients, ensuring they have a comfortable and fun experience while learning to care for their own oral health.
After dental school, Dr. Bushell completed a pediatric dentistry residency at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, with additional training at the Childrens Medical Center of Dallas and the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. He is proud to be a board-certified pediatric dentist who helps kids develop healthy, beautiful smiles.
Following his education, Dr. Bushell proudly served for eight years of active duty in the United States Army. He was stationed throughout the United States as well as for a tour of duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. Mark Ward has been a proud member of the team at Dentistry for Children since 2012 but has a long-standing connection to Utah. He was born and raised in Layton and South Ogden, Utah, and graduated from Bonneville High School with academic honors in 1991.
After attending Brigham Young UniversityHawaii and the University of Iowa for his undergraduate degree, Dr. Ward then went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors in 2001.
Then, returning to his home state of Utah, Dr. Ward spent two years as an associate dentist prior to establishing his own practice, Heritage Park Dental, in Layton City, Utah, in the spring of 2005. To ensure he remains ahead of the curve in his field, he completes continuing education courses each year, participates in dental seminars and keeps up with the latest dental journals.
In his family life, Dr. Ward loves to boat, water ski and travel as often as he can to locations where the sun shines. His favorite activities are spending time with his wife, Courtney, and their three children: Connor, Jenna and Brooke. He is always ready for a family adventure.

These guys always do a great job. They've always taken good care of us and all the staff is very friendly. My kids don't get scared to go to the dentist, they get excited to go.

The up front staff is very very nice and helpful on anything you need. Veronica and Ana , Johanna are very friendly and professional with their help my kids teeth are kept nice and clean and thank you for your service see you guys in 6 months cleaning !

The dentists are friendly and thorough. Most of the assistant's are absolutely lovely, except the curly haired girl, Never said one word. She stared off not even talking to the dentist. She made a personal interaction uncomfortable.

Don't take your kids here. I went for a check up appointment for my son and I told he was going to get a filling on a cavity. Next thing I know the dentist was extracting his tooth without my permission! I was never told he was getting a tooth extraction only a filling.To make matters worse Veronica is extremely rude and inconsiderate/unprofessional! It was a traumatic experience! My child is only 4 years olds. If you love you kids don't take them here there are better dentist with better receptionist and dental assistant elsewhere do your research!

The staff at Dentistry For Children are extremely friendly and make the experience a great one. My sons were very comfortable conversing with the nurses and doctor as well as going through their cleanings. They made sure that my oldest son was very comfortable, putting a show for him to watch, and talking him through the process of what they were going to do. They also interact and let us (parents) know what is going on and answer any questions that we may have. They also do provide great feedback and suggestions on teeth cleaning options and explain things so that we won't be confused. The dentist that worked with my oldest son really spoke to him handed him some of the tools so he can feel involved as well as see that he was in safe hands. Every time we go to this clinic we always leave with a great experience and look forward for the next time.

Have been going here for at least 8 years with all 4 of my kids. They are always great and can get all my kids seen on the same day. We had an emergency for a cracked tooth and they got us in pretty quickly and got it checked out and taken care if!

My son (13) & my daughter (16) have been visiting dentistry children every 6 months since the 1st tooth came in. Always a welcoming, professinal, atmosphere. Havent had to deal with alot of cavities but son had his permanant front tooth chipped & the procedure to fix that's been amazing.

Wonderful experience! The staff, dentist, anesthesiologist and nurses were friendly and attentive. Every detail of the procedure was explained in detail from beginning to end. Everyone here is absolutely amazing!!

Worse dental place ever, I wish I never came here, I took my kids for an appointment at 1pm with empty stomach, I tried my best to keep him away from food and drink, but my husband said he had a tiny cookie like a pinky size, we had to cancel work to took him there, poor boy was waiting for the appointment the the whole morning but end up they told us to go home and after a month never call back for any other appointment. His teeth was hurt. And today they send the bill $30 and I have to pay for it after they wasted our time. Your greediness of $30 will loss my 3 kids customer forever. The place just want money and will not work out on anything
