Dental decay is more common than childhood asthma. It is a preventable disease that begins with good dental habits, the right diet and regular visits to the dentist starting at an early age. Making informed choices on oral hygiene practices, nutrition and fluoride is what we help with. We consult personally with each family at every checkup visit to go over what needs fine-tuneing (or sometimes overhauled) with a patients oral health.

A young patient, nervous child or anyone with a history of a bad dental experience can be a challenge if dental care is needed. We provide as many realistic options as possible to each parent/caregiver. Not every child with a cavity needs general anesthesia as is currently being recommended by some providers. If appropriate, going slow with easy visits while building trust and confidence can be an option in many cases. Light sedation and nitrous oxide (laughing gas) are available if applicable. Anesthesia has its place and we have some outstanding anesthesiologists available, but why not discuss other ways of completing care if possible?

We have consult rooms in our offices for a reason. Part of our commitment to our patients and families is to explain procedures, show films, discuss our recommendations and listen to your concerns. We have a network of other dental providers we trust that we can refer to if specialized care is needed (Orthodontics, Oral Surgery etc.).

Our professional staff at dentistry for children is dedicated to helping each patient, parent or caregiver feel comfortable in the dental environment. The age range of our patients is from infants to young adults. Our goal is to tailor an approach sensitive to a patients age, temperament, past dental experience and parents desires.

We had an amazing experience here today. My 3 year old needed a frenectomy and Dr. Seth was so kind and helpful! The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere is amazing! I wish they took state care for preventative/primary care, that's my only complaint!

My child wouldn't open her mouth or anything for her last dentist so we were referred to Dentistry For Children and they were amazing! They got my stubborn child to let them not only examine but also take xrays! 10/10 would recommend their team

Dentistry for Children is truly wonderful! My daughters have been going to this dentist's office their whole lives! They have never had a single cavity under their care! Their staff is always so nice and accommodating. The waiting area is clean and tidy. Whenever I have questions about my daughter's teeth, they are always addressed with prompt and proper answers. They really do care about every kid that comes through the door and they do a terrific job of keeping parents informed of any issues that may be on the horizon, with regard to their children's dental health. They also work with many different insurance groups and try to keep costs low, which is so very appreciated! On a personal note, my youngest daughter was actually missing a front tooth and Dentistry for Children informed us of the issue and referred us to a trusted orthodontist's office. After my daughter went through the process of using braces to bring her teeth together, she was still unhappy with her smile. A couple of her teeth looked a little misshapen, due to the complexity of the way they had to be moved together. After speaking to Dr. Seth and getting his thoughts, we all decided build-ups would be the correct route to fix the issue. He worked meticulously for more than two hours to get everything symmetrical and he was able to match the color of her teeth perfectly! They really came out looking gorgeous and she is so happy and confident now! Seeing her beautiful smile reminds me of how lucky my children are to grow up with such awesome dental care and hygiene! I highly recommend Dentistry for Children. All of the doctors and staff there are the best at what they do and my family will be forever grateful!

They did a great job introducing dental tools to my toddler before using them to help him not be so nervous. I had an issue with billing and the dentist herself called me afterwards to get everything straightened out and to apologize for the issue, which was an awesome gesture. Would highly recommend this practice.

Take all 3 of our kids here, 4-8, they are great with all of them. If your kid needs any work like fillings etc, they are very accommodating. We love Dr Seth!

I found this office when my daughter's previous dentist wanted to charge $900 for the anesthesia she would need to have her work done even though my dental insurance covers it. The anesthesia company was out of network and couldn't promise I'd get a refund from my insurance at all let alone the amount. So I came to DFC for a second opinion. They got us in same day, were great with my toddler, and were so friendly and kind. They answered all my questions and stayed late to get us set up with an appointment. When the estimate came back the total for the work and the anesthesia was at least half the cost of the previous office's anesthesia alone, so we chose to remain with DFC for her dental needs. I love that they have an office in Port Orchard also as this is more convenient for us for routine visits. Update: have been bringing all four of my kids here for over 3 years nows. Dr Hays has retired, which was a bummer, and Dr Becker's days don't fit with our schedule so we've switched to Dr Kim and we really like her so far. They're usually able to get all of my kids in at the same time for their cleanings which is super convenient. They've been flexible with me on payment arrangements when finances have been tight. My 5 year old (previously mentioned 20 month old) loves going to the dentist and gets excited about her appointments, which is a pretty big deal!

My kids loved their appointment today! My son laid all the way back and my daughter who is 2 finally let them do a full cleaning with the prophy brush for the first time and sat so still for pictures. Dr. Kim was amazing as well as the staff!

Wasn't the right fit for our child. 1st meeting went well and was with me with my toddler on my knee. The 2nd apt they refused to let me be with my toddler who had stranger danger then they billed my insurance yet they never even looked in my toddlers mouth. Seemed like a crazy rule and the staff member wasn't super nice when I requested to go in with them. I went to my own dentist who worked way better with my child.

The office staff were sweet and incredibly helpful. The dental assistant and dentist helped my child get comfortable and explained what she was experiencing and what to expect in a way she kept calm and involved without being scared. 5 Stars, A+, 10/10 absolutely amazing.

Great place! Staff on-site has always been extremely friendly and very accommodating for our family. The dental assistants always have a great attitude dealing with our kids various personalities and keeping them actually eager to get their teeth checked out. Dr Becker always has been extremely helpful with tips to assist with monitoring our kids hygiene. We will keep going there as long as we can!

When we drove up to the office my kids start telling me how much they love this place. Dr. Kim is so friendly and explains everything. This isn't an office that will push things just to charge more. They really just care about each patient.

Kind, compassionate and knowledgeable staff, all the way from the front office to the back. The dentists are all wonderful and i appreciate that they are on the conservative side when it comes to treatment and always do a great job explaining and showing what's going on, what it all means and how to solve the problem if needed. Thank you, Jessica and Chelsey, for taking such great care of my kiddos at their appointment today! The only bad part is, my daughter actually wants cavities so she can go back to the dentist more often.

Front desk staff aren't so welcoming especially with new patient and as I waited to know when the next appointment for my child for crowning and told them I was leaving on june 22 and wouldn't be back til September but it seems they want to know more why or where I'm going than to let me know when the next appointment was. It is an emergency situation but they don't need to know where I'm going, I just want to get the appointment because according to them my son needs to take the antibiotics right away before they do anything else.
