Pediatric dentists are specialists in treating the unique needs of children. A pediatric dentist has completed an additional 2-3 years of specialty training beyond dental school and treats the oral health needs of infants and children, including those with special needs. Pediatric dentists are skilled at using smaller equipment designed for a childs mouth and better understand the intricacies and importance of baby teeth in a growing child. They also focus more attention on educating patients and parents about preventive care to help children avoid complications such as decay, infection, speech problems, and cosmetic issues.

Primary, or baby, teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to erupt. It is important to remember that oral health affects more than the health of your teeth. Cavities in baby teeth cause pain and swelling that can be tremendously uncomfortable for your child. Oral infections can enter the blood stream and lead to other serious health problems. Bacteria can quickly jump from one part of the mouth to another, thus resulting in infections and cavities in new erupting adult teeth.

***2nd update: avoid this pace at all costs. They over book. They initially scheduled my sons re-filling for the soonest appt which was 6 months, then they called to reschedule TWICE, pushing it out a year. They just want money and don't offer quality care. Only go here if you need to drug your kids to sit for a dentist or have limiting insurance. There are much much better ones in the area. Nov 2022 **updated - since I've been in the last two years service quality has dropped. They push out fillings because they over schedule the office. And I have to get my sons filling REfilled because another doctor didn't do it right less than a year ago. I also question much of their opinion, an older doc said he had a ton of issues, after his last visit with a new doc they said he only had the one issue (that was around the last filling the other doc did). I may update, but I have not been happy with this office overall and would say proceed with caution. Our first visit was with one of the original owners and she treated us well, it's been a rapid decline since 2016.

Everyone in the office was so nice and kind to my son who had been previously traumatized by a general dentist. A big thank you to Ms. Ally for making sure every step my son felt comfortable!

My 2 year old had an 8:30 appt and when we arrived in 40 degree weather the door was locked. I called and found out they decided to last minute close the office . I wasn't notified. I'm 8 months pregnant standing in the cold with my daughter , missing work and now have to turn around and go home. I suggest notifying patients when you decide to close. We won't be back here.

Sad that this practice decided one day to drop all adults with disabilities to find somewhere else to go. You knew damm well there is not a place to take an adult that has autism. Terrible that my son had to get a tooth pulled out from an oral surgeon for $1200. Out of pocket. Beware ! The Children who have been seen with Special needs , you will be gone as an adult

The Toms River location was very clean and welcoming. The staff was very friendly! The hygienist was great and patient with my daughter. Alysia was very helpful with my daughter taking x-rays. She showed her every step prior to taking the X-rays so that she wasn't scared. She gave her extra tokens for being a good listener! Dr. Trillo was amazing. He went over the X-rays with us and spent the time to explain what we were looking at. He addressed some concerns I had and reassured me all was ok! I didn't feel rushed out of there. I will definitely recommend this office to my friends!

We had an appointment for my son in September 2022. He was showing signs of a cold so for the protection of others I cancelled this September appointment. I should have taken him in sick. I called to reschedule On October 5th 2022 and she said first available would be March 2023. We have been going here since my son was 5 so I was a little upset with them not trying to accommodate a little better. I explained to them that he would be one year without a cleaning by the the time she could see him and they said they couldn't help that. This dentist seems like a money maker and not in the best interest of your child's health and needs. It's like a drive through dentist. The staff who answer the phone are like robots programmed only to make appointments and they do not go over and above what they are programmed to do. Sad times !

They were so kind, patient, and accommodating with my daughter. The dentist was amazing as well. Thank you guys for being so awesome!

uncomfortable enviroment. my 3YO daughter was unphased by this chaotic office but as a parent i was disturbed. dental hygenists are standing around chatting while patients are waiting to be helped for 45 minutes. office staff is frustrated with slow computers and channeling frustration into strange remarks. no communication between doctors/hygenists and office staff who didnt even know what she needed to be scheduling me for. all the back and forth witnessed in my hour visit here showed me that this practice is very far from organized and doesnt care to try to get itself together. worst part may very well be that all scheduling is through an offsite call center who then has to call the office to ask to move things around so what should be a 5-10 minute process of changing an appt took a half hour. silver lining is when a hygenist did finally take care of my child she was friendly and patient. this one pro does not outweigh the long list of cons.

Very unprofessional in my opinion. I tried to set an appointment and the guy kept telling me how busy they were and how I should try somewhere else.. then he finally set an appointment for my daughter but canceled it the day before. Said they would get back to me with a new date, and a week later I still haven't heard a thing. Very disappointing... my daughters tooth ache is getting worse and these ppl are just dragging their feet. Smh
