The staff is fantastic, they explain everything to the parents and to the child being worked on. The take their time and make you feel heard. I recommend this office to anyone and everyone who wants a good experience and who might be afraid of the dentist.

The staff was considerate, friendly, and most of all timely! And the doctor was amazing! She was intelligent, focused, genuinely caring about my granddaughter's well-being, and above all she performed the work in excellence and quickly.

Where do I begin...? My guys have been coming here for (at least) the last 8 years and when I say to people, my kids are weird because they actually like going to the dentist, its because of these guys here. At least to me, its a family thing, and my family feels our dentist office is invested in us.

Treatment with braces isnt just about straight teeth and a gorgeous smile. Its about maximizing the alignment of your teeth and jaw to improve your ability to bite, chew and speak. That perfect smile is a bonus a benefit that leads to improved self-esteem and self confidence.

Getting started with braces. To start orthodontic treatment, your orthodontist will first take x-rays and evaluate if youre a good candidate. Ideal candidates have healthy teeth and gums, but want to fix overbites, underbites, cross bites, spacing issues, overcrowding, a gummy smile or protruding upper front teeth.

How your teeth move. Braces work by applying pressure to teeth, pushing or pulling them into a better position. Your teeth actually move in their sockets. The process is called bone remodeling. The bone on one side of your teeth breaks down in the sockets, but builds up on the other side of the sockets. All of this is done using a gentle amount of pressure. You will visit your orthodontist regularly to make sure your teeth are moving properly.

Getting braces off. When your teeth have reached the desired results, your orthodontist will remove your braces, one bracket at a time. He or she will also remove any glue residue. Your orthodontist will then set you up with a retainer to help stabilize the new position of your teeth. Without a retainer, your teeth may move back to their original positions.

Exploring options. Traditional metal brackets arent for everybody. Other options include ceramic braces, lingual braces and Invisalign or clear aligners. Your certified orthodontist specialist will recommend the treatment thats best for you.

It would have been great, had I known about the additional treatment that my son needed upon arriving to the dental office. The staff did their best by trying to expedite the treatment process after I expressed my concerns. Please brief all stay members on maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor, some are really great at it, while others are not. Consistency goes a long way!

My son was seen at the Dunwoody location for a dental emergency. I'm so grateful they were able to accommodate him. Dr. Tarver and the entire staff was awesome. Dr. Tarver is highly skilled, gentle, thorough, patient, and compassionate. The entire staff is caring and professional, and they all seem to work well together as a team. I've had good experiences at the Stone Mountain location as well, but this location is an all-around model for children's dentistry. For example, at Stone Mountain the X-ray tech could not get my 3 year old son to bite down on the mouth piece and the experience seemed frustrating for my son, the X-ray tech, and me. However at this location, the X-ray tech was so gentle and patient that it was knocked out with no issue. That's the difference between mediocre service and exceptional service. Children are very intuitive beings, and attitude and approach means everything when getting them to cooperate with people messing around in their mouth.

Over crowded. It took a long time to be seen and doctor did not provide any results of the exams done. They just left my child sitting in the chair and he (the dr) just moved to the next child without saying anything.

Once again they are extremely slow and good for double booking appointments. Lobby was clean , but got crowded fast and it turned into the play area at daycare.

Referred me to 2 different sedation offices. Tried to scam me out of $500 when my insurance will completely cover everything. Felt deceived and confused. Could never get in touch with sedation office. Never got a call back. I took my child to another dentist instead.
