Dr. Gila Marciano graduated magma cum laude with a BA in Biochemistry from Hunter College before graduating from Stony Brook Dental School with honors and earning a degree in Dental Surgery . She completed a general Practice Residency at The Bronx VA, Mount Sinai where she gained extensive experience in complex restorative dentistry and the field of Endodontics. She is a member of the American Dental Association as well as the New Jersey State Dental Association and the Middlesex County Dental Association. Gila is noted for her efficiency and light touch. She is well aware of the anxieties that dental care can bring on and aims to create a calm environment for her patients. During her spare time, Dr. Marciano loves to travel, read historical fiction and bake. Shes on a constant quest for the perfect babka. She and her husband Zalmy, a pediatric anesthesiologist, both grew up in Monsey and now reside in Edison, NJ with their three daughters.
Dr. Shlomit Schwalb graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from Yeshiva University, and an M.A. in Biotechnology from Columbia University, before earning her D.D.S. from the New York University College of Dentistry. She completed her residency at Lincoln Hospital, a heavy trauma center, and a two year dental implant fellowship at New York University. She is currently a member of both the American Dental Association and the New York State Dental Association. Precision and warmth are the two hallmarks of Dr. Schwalb's style. She cares deeply for each of her patients, and constantly strives for perfection. Outside of the office, Dr. Schwalb loves to travel and try new things. She spent a year living in London, England, where she taught A-Level STEM courses; she is an alumnus of the Sea Island chapter of Habitat for Humanity in Charleston, South Carolina; and she currently resides in New Jersey with her husband and four kids.
Lynn brings years of training and dental assistant experience to Dentistry by Design. Starting her career in dentistry in the early 1980s Lynn became a certified dental assistant then on to an associate degree as a dental hygienist in 1987. Part of Dr. Sitrins staff for over 18 years, Lynn has two boys Russell and Alec who she enjoys watching participate in a variety of sports. A lover of the outdoors, Lynn enjoys spending time at Chesapeake Bay, Virginia in her free time.
Michele joined Dentistry by Design in 2008 and offers over 39years of experience and expertise to the practice. Michele started her career as a CDA RDA, transitioning into Office Manager. Michele is proud to be part of an exceptional office. She is married to her husband Mike, they have two adult chidren. Micheleenjoys spending hersummers at the beach in Lavallette with herfamily.
Joining Dentistry by Design in 2007, Vicki has been a dental assistant since 1987 and completed a bachelors degree in dental hygiene in 1997. Married to her high school sweetheart, Vicki has two children, Marisa and Nicholas, and enjoys a variety of outdoor and sporting activities as well as serving as a troop leader for the local Girls Scout chapter
Hi, my name is Dawn. I have recently joined Dentistry by Design as a Dental Assistant in January of 2015. I have been a Dental Assistant for the past six years, with experience in various dental specialties such as oral surgery, endodontic procedures, as well as general dentistry. My husband, Phil and I have been married for three years. My hobbies are cooking, shopping and watching movies.
