Mary is a friendly face at the front desk. She has been in the dental field for over 30 years. She joined the Dentistry by Design team in 2020 as an Insurance and Scheduling Coordinator. Mary enjoys helping patients navigate through the business process in a friendly and professional manner and to see that all their dental needs are met.
In her free time, Mary enjoys remodeling her log cabin, summer days on the water, and spending precious time with her loved ones and her dog Honey! Mary loves coming to work knowing she is part of a family atmosphere from the wonderful, caring staff to the amazing patients and families. She is happy to call Door County her home!
Heather has been a Dental Hygienist for over 15 years. She enjoys working with children and helping all her patients have a great dental experience. Heather is happy to be working with Dr. Sledge and the rest of the team at Dentistry by Design.
Gina is a 2000 graduate of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Bachelor of Science program in Dental Hygiene. She has been practicing as a licensed dental hygienist for the last 20 years in the Green Bay and Lakeshore areas. Gina enjoys meeting and talking with people. She takes pride in making the dental hygiene experience, not only educational and thorough, but fun.
Gina lives in rural Sturgeon Bay with her husband John and their three daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, her animals, gardening, listening to music, hiking and anytime spent outdoors in the sun.
Shelby studied Dental Assisting at Fox Valley Technical School and graduated with honors in 2016. Prior to dental assisting she had 18 years of customer service experience. She loves seeing people smile and is excited to continue providing great customer service, but in a new way.

Dr. Sledge and his staff were amazing. I had emergency oral surgery in Colorado and needed to have a stitch removed. They were able to get me an appointment and I am forever grateful. I will definitely return to their office as a new patient. Highly recommended this office.

I moved up to Door County ppermanently in October of 2021. Had a very bad toothache the other day and called to see if they could fit me into their schedule. While they were not able to accommodate me right away, they gave me the names and phone numbers of several other places to try. They even called me back the next day when they had a cancellation. Very nice people!!

My family and I have been patients here for the past 2 years and have received excellent care. Everyone who works he is kind, knowledgeable, and generous with their time. Even my 4 year old is happy to attend her appointments and has no fear!

I had a extremely bad infection in my lower jaw. Dr. Sledge went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. He absolutely went above and beyond to get me in and take care of it pain free. From the ladies in the office to the dental assistants they all were truly professional and caring. I'm happy to have him as my dentist. Thank you Dentistry By Design

DD was extremely helpful in providing records to me to submit to my less than cooperative insurance company which is a sub contractor to UHC. I am now going to appeal a denial based on that and hopefully will receive some compensation towards a needed tooth procedure that was completed by them. One of us old farts.....

I was on vacation in Door County and was referred to Dr Sledge by locals. From the very first call with Mary I had Class A treatment. My temporary bridge fell out and needed to be recemented. I called at 9am and was seen at 1pm. The entire office personnel was fantastic. I only wish the office was in my home town in California... thank you Dr Slege and staff.

beautiful offices and delightful staff- made me feel really welcome and coordinated my visit with the Washington Island Ferry Schedule. I also enjoyed the birds at the feeder outside my window

On my way up to Door County for vacation my molar with a large old filling in it had a piece break off. Each day it hurt worse and after 4 days it was really bad. I was referred to this dentist by a local here. The office was great, they got me in right away. Even though the tooth need more extensive work the Dr took care of the it enough for my pain to go away and get me thru the rest of my vacation without any problems. I was very happy with him and my experience.
