I never thought I would enjoy going to the dentist... but, yesterday was my initial visit with Dr. Amundson and she was not only fabulous... but so informative! I learned so much in such a short period of time. Highly recommend!!
Dr. David Golke provides comprehensive dental care. He received his Bachelors Degree from Bemidji State University where he majored in biology and also studied chemistry and music. He attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Golke established Dentistry at the Center in Alexandria in 1985. Along with being a recognized dentist with us, Dr. Golke has also worked as a Clinical Instructor at the Hygiene School in St. Cloud, MN. His membership and association portfolio includes the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, as well as the American Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Golke has three teenage sons. The four of them can often be found in the kitchen preparing supper or baking his famous chocolate chip cookies. Dr. Golke has also been a foster parent to a large number of children and teens. The 5 long term teens, now adults with children of their own, continue to be part of the family.
Always an advocate for the community, he has been involved in volunteering and has a special interest in learning disabilities, IEP, Minnesota special hockey, ADHD and other brain functions, as well as involvement on church boards, music, live theatre, Love Inc., teaching, lobbying, ski patrol, foster parenting boards, and youth boards.
Dr. Elizabeth Amundson is an Alexandria native with five generations of family in the Alexandria area. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the College of St. Benedict/St. Johns University with a Biology major and art concentration. In May 2009, Dr. Amundson earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. After graduating, she continued her education by completing the Postgraduate Program in Contemporary and Esthetic Dentistry with the University of Minnesota and the Surgical Program for dental implant placement with the world renowned Misch International Implant Institute. She is a bi-annual member of the American Dental Association and the Minnesota Dental Association.
Dr. Amundson joined our team at Dentistry at the Center in 2013. She is happy to again be residing in her home community of Alexandria and to provide her patients with the highest level of dental care. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children.
Dr. Tyler Whiting was born and raised in the Alexandria area. After graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato; he went on to the University of Minnesota to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree graduating in the top three of his class. After dental school, Dr. Whiting was commissioned as an officer in the US Air Force. He then completed a rigorous Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He received extensive training during the residency to include dental implant placement, orthodontics, complex extractions, sleep apnea, TMD treatment, as well as advances in digital dentistry.
After the residency, he was stationed at Royal Air Force Lakenheath in England for three years and then at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. He thoroughly enjoyed providing dental care to service members and their families while on active duty. Dr. Whiting is passionate about optimizing a patients oral health and how it can impact their overall well being. He is avid about continuing education and providing patients with the latest evidenced base dentistry.
Dr. Whiting joined our team in Aug 2019 and he continues to serve our country as part of the Minnesota Air National Guard with the 148th Fighter Wing in Duluth, MN. He is excited to once again call Alexandria home together with his wife (Maggie) and four children (Henry, Eloise, Theodore, and Georgia). In his free time, you will mostly likely find Dr. Whiting spending time with his family. Other activities that you many find him doing include traveling, hunting or golfing.

I always receive professional, courteous service at Dentistry at the Center. The one time there was a problem, it was quickly rectified. I have no qualms about recommending them.

Warm, friendly and professional. I've been seeing Dr. Amundson for 8+ years. I've been seen by many dentists in my life and she is the first to actually care about my smile. They have a great team and I won't see anyone else. They are wonderful!

Had a disagreement with the billing department and at first wasn't happy. We did come to a very good agreement though and I highly recommend the Doctors and staff. I very highly recommend Dr. Elizabeth Amundson. Eric Miller, Wheaton MN.

My kids (3, 6, 8 years old) had the best experience at Dentistry at the Center! My initial thought of the waiting room was that it was very clean and welcoming. The kids especially loved the fish tank. We saw Abby, Heather and Dr. Whiting. They took their time to show the kids all of their tools and what was going to happen next. This was my 3-year-old's first time to the dentist and I was so impressed with how well Abby and Dr. Whiting helped make her feel extra comfortable. They were patient, kind, silly and made her visit fun! Dr. Whiting did a great job explaining things to watch for and what care down the road might look like. I highly recommend Dentistry at the Center for everyone in your family!
