I have practiced dentistry for 20 years, and still feel as inspired and excited about the profession as I did when I finished dental school. Every day presents opportunities to help people: relieving pain, restoring function, brightening a smile, or showing someone that painless dental care is possible. With each procedure and every interaction, I have the opportunity to improve someones health and enjoyment of life.
Initially, I was drawn to the profession because I wanted to change the image of dentists: at the time, many had the reputation as being grumpy men! (Twenty years ago there were not many female dentists; that has changed in the years since I graduated.) I hope I have played a role in changing how people think of dentistry by offering gentle, supportive, individual care, and always listening to what each patient desires while seeking to understand their concerns.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my career is the connection that develops with my patients. I treasure each relationship that has grown over the years, and appreciate the time I have had to get to know people and their families.
I attended the University of Nebraska Omaha for my undergraduate studies. While there, I worked on several medical and dental research projects at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Next, I attended Creighton University School of Dentistry, where I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1999.
Dentistry and dental medicineis an ever-changing field. Research leads to new techniques, materials, and technologies. I stay current on the latest changes, and carefully study each before deciding on whether to incorporate the new option into patient care.
A member of the American Dental Association and Arizona Dental Association, I have access to a range of continuing education offerings. In addition to meetings, seminars, and lectures, I attend training events and avidly read the journals and other professional publications.
Dr. Kamran and I have two wonderful children: a beautiful daughter, who is a singer/songwriter and currently in college, and a wonderful son in high school. Time with family is my passion, especially supporting my kids and their many interests and activities. I am also an avid reader.
By improving the health of the oral cavity, including the periodontal (gum) tissues, we are also reducing the number of bad bacteria in the mouth that cause damage to the dental and periodontal tissues and can also enter the bloodstream, travel, and cause chronic and long-term damage to other organs. This oral/systemic connection has been established by many medical studies.
Dr. Ata-Abadi provides each of his patients with the highest quality of conservative dentistry. He works hard to put people at ease by explaining their dental conditions and the needed treatment in a straightforward and easily understood manner.
Dr. Ata-Abadi has practiced dentistry for more than20 years. He entered the dental field with the desire to make a meaningful difference in peoples health and lives, through dental procedures and by educating and motivating patients to make informed oral health decisions.
Participating in dental and healthcare-related continuing education courses enables Dr. Ata-Abadi to learn aboutthe latest techniques, technologies, and concepts pertaining to the delivery of quality dental care. In addition, it is beneficial to hear from experts in the field about their experience in working with the new options.
Dr. Ata-Abadi grew up in Iran and Germany; he and his family Dr. Bahar and their two children have resided in the Scottsdale area for more than 20 years. The couples daughter Halle currently attends college and their son Kevan is in high school.
When hes not in the office, Dr. Ata-Abadi enjoys reading, watching new or classic movies, exercising, and practicing Taekwondo. The family enjoys traveling, too, and keeping in touch with relatives who happen to live across the globe.

I went here for 5 years while I lived in the area. Even though I have a healthy mouth with no issues, the team here took great care to keep it that way and always provided me more options to maintain or improve my health. Including: optional flouride coating, optional tooth groove sealing, specific guidance on brushing and flossing to improve. I even had a chipped tooth repair here a couple years ago and this place did a great job fixing and matching it.

You needed to repair a crown that had come off. You were very direct and go the job done quickly and with little hassle. You told me what you were going to do and did it, from what I can tell so far, very well.

I have been seeing Dr. Bahar for many, many years.. I continue to stay with her because I trust she does right by me. Doing only what is needed and doing it well. I also have had a great experience with her hygienists all these years as well.

Dr. Bahar Ada-Abadi is a very talented and compassionate dentist. She takes the time to visit and listens to any concerns. I felt the entire office did an excellent job dealing with the Covid situation. I've been seeing her for a decade and she's been nothing but professional as well as friendly each time. The office staff is professional and friendly as well and I've gotten wonderful cleanings through out the years. Highly recommend.

Oh my god I love this place Like, seriously. I've had top-tier dentists in the past but Dr. Kamran + Dr. Bahar are on another level. And I don't know if it's the ambiance or what, but wowza I've never been that comfortable & relaxed sitting in the hot seat (received a minor gum-numbing agent for some work being done on one of my visits, but no drugs beyond that). Amazing, genuinely looking forward to each and every visit.
