Dr. Jim Wang was originally from Culver City, California. He attended Venice High School in Los Angeles. After graduating from the UC Berkeley with honors and a degree in Molecular Cell Biology, Dr. Wang obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry - one of the top dental schools in the United States.
Dr. Nicole Miller was originally from Whittier, California. She graduated from UC Irvine with honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Miller obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry, where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society. She served as the dental school class president her third and fourth years.
Lorena is our insurance coordinator. She handles all insurance claims and finances for patients so they don't have to. Lorena was originally from San Bernardino and has a son at Oak Valley Middle School. She is wonderful with children and has a natural ability to make everyone feel welcome when the walk into the office.
Vanessa is our registered dental assistant. She has a son in middle school and her husband is a professional MMA fighter. She has a son in middle school. She helps with complicated procedures and makes sure the office runs smoothly.
Ashley is our certified dental assistant. She is a mother of two. Her husband is in Marines at Camp Pendleton. She helps make sure all the patients are comfortable and feel at home when they are in the office.

He worked a couple of years for NASA Ames Research Center assisting in the development of the CTAS Air Traffic Controller project. However his passion to help those in need lead him to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Jim obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry - one of the top dental schools in the United States.
It is here at UCLA School of Dentistry that Dr. Jim met and fell in love with his wife, Dr. Melanie. After graduation, they both moved to Saint Louis, MO so that Dr. Melanie could complete her orthodontic residency at Saint Louis University. Upon completion of her residency, they realized how much they missed California. They decided to settle in San Diego to raise their family. Today, Dr. Jim is a proud father of his 2 year old son, Tyler Wang.

Dr. Miller obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry, where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society. She served as the dental school class president her third and fourth years.
Following her graduation from dental school, Dr. Miller was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy. While in active duty, she completed a General Practice Residency at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. She then went on to serve as the dental officer on board the USS OGDEN (LPD-5) for over two years. After her sea duty, she practiced general dentistry at the Branch Dental Clinic in San Diego, completing her active duty commitment.

Dr. Wang and his staff are all very friendly, patient, and accommodating! Dr. Wang in particular takes his time to engage with patients and thoroughly answer any questions they may have. You can tell that he genuinely cares for his patients and that he is an honest dentist who wants to provide the best care possible. He shows great attention to detail while performing procedures (ranging from exams, fillings, root canals, and wisdom tooth extractions) and also takes extra care to ensure that patients are comfortable. His staff members are also very knowledgeable and welcoming too! Coming to Dentistry at 4S Ranch is always a pleasure and I can confidently say that I would highly recommend Dr. Wang!

Jimmy and his staff were incredibly patient and kind and took great care of me. They extracted my broken tooth quickly and pain free. Can't recommend them enough.

I honestly look forward to going to my dentist! I never did before and had been to multiple dentists. Dr Wang's practice is amazing. He really engages with you and openly discuss all your questions and concerns. I have had fillings, implants, cleaning and wisdom teeth extractions in the chair. He is also a perfectionist and will keep making the slightest alterations on fillings until they feel right. Also they have great technology and equipment. Clean practice.

Awesome dentist. I had several different opinions from other dentists before I decided on Dr. Wang. He really took the time to answer all of my questions and was very detailed oriented. He showed me every option, and the end result of my smile make over was beyond my expectations. I love my smile now. Great Experience and awesome staff too! Prices were very reasonable.

Upon entering 4S Ranch Dentistry, I was immediately greeted by two friendly faces of the front desk gals Virginia and Lacey. They helped me with the patient paperwork ( 5 pages isn't so bad compared to other offices ). As soon as I turned my paperwork in, I was immediately called by the assistant ( I later learned her name Vanessa) for my appointment. I had virtually NO WAIT TIME which was awesome! I don't think I would have minded waiting a few minutes in the waiting room though, it was very clean and there were magazines on the counter as well as a TV mounted on the wall. I think this office is family friendly because there was a cute play room next to the receptionist desk. I know families that would benefit from being able to have their kids in the playroom while the adults have their teeth cleaned by miss Sydney. After having my x-rays taken, Sydney asked me what channel I like to watch. I LOVE the fact that there are TVs in the room so that I can enjoy a show while having my teeth cleaned. Sydney was so sweet, constantly asking me if I was okay and if anything was bothering me. After my teeth were cleaned, Dr. Wang came in and addressed my concerns and made a plan for me to come back and have things taken care of. He was so caring, asking me about my family and what plans I have for the future. He said that his wife works as the orthodontist next door and they have three kids. He told me I could discuss the treatment plan and finances with the girls up front. When I get to the front, Lacey goes over what I needed to take care of and when I could come back. Overall, I would recommend coming here because the staff are super friendly, the cleanings are gentle, and Dr. Wang prioritized my needs. Thank you very much, I will be coming back and recommending this location to my friends.

I found Dr. Wang through my insurance provider. He was on a list of in-network doctors. He had great reviews from my insurance company and my coworkers, so I made an appointment to have an implant placed in. I broke my tooth a while back ago and was always embarrassed to smile because of the missing tooth. The office is beautiful! It's modern and very clean with TV's on both the wall and ceilings. I was greeted by a smiling receptionist and immediately felt comfortable. Dr. Wang explained what they were going to do, and he and Vanessa (assistant I presume) got started. Both Dr. Wang and Vanessa were friendly and personable. I was sedated and had the implant placed in painlessly and I slept through the entire procedure. They made me feel at ease during the whole process. The implant looked great and I love my new tooth.I thanked them and said that as long as they had an office, I was a lifelong customer.

The support staff is not at all helpful. They provided me a 10:30am appointment and when I arrived on time, I was told the appointment was at 10:00am. They were not even apologetic for the miscommunication. I requested to talk to Jimmy Wang and I was not allowed to. I called later to let Dr Jimmy Wang know of the incident and he was least concerned. I have this bad customer experience with the staff a couple of occasions before too, that I had ignored. But I guess it's time for everyone to know that this place does not care about customer experience. I will not recommend this place, find another place. Perhaps they think they are doing a favor to you and not a "service" that's being paid for.

I have been going to Dr. Wang for years, but just getting around to posting a review. Life is busy! I've been very pleased with the quality of work, hospitality, and cleanliness of this office. They are very friendly, down to Earth, and professional. I don't have dental insurance through my work, so I pay out of pocket and their prices are very reasonable. I have not had to do a lot of work. I do the regular cleanings and exams every 6 months, to prevent the need. I did have them pull my wisdom teeth several yrs ago and have not had any problems
