Dr. Ajamu Giscombe was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. He attended undergraduate school at North Carolina Central University in Durham. It was in undergraduate school that Dr. Giscombe fell in love with North Carolina. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Giscombe attended dental school at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. While at HUCD, Dr. Giscombe developed a true passion for dentistry. Howard University provided an outstanding education in the art and science of dentistry.
Dr. Giscombe went on to a General Practice Residency at East Carolina Universitys Brody School of Medicine, which was affiliated with Pitt County Memorial Hospital. After residency, Dr. Giscombes membership in the National Health Service Corp led him to practice in the Midwest, providing care to the underserved at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin. While in Wisconsin Dr. Giscombe also worked part-time with a private dental practice. Eventually, Dr. Giscombe decided to return to his second home in North Carolina, and worked for many years at CommWell Health Dental Clinic, again providing treatment for an underserved and often uninsured population.
It is Dr. Giscombes goal to develop lasting relationships with his patients. His patients and colleagues affectionally refer to him as Dr. G. He looks to provide gentle, exceptional service to anyone he has the privilege to treat.In his spare time, Dr. G loves spending time with his wife and three children, and enjoys staying active with physical fitness and outdoor activities.

Dr. G is the best dentist!! Top 2 and not #2! I've been coming here since February, they have renewed my smile and I've been feeling good since then. I look forward to coming to get my teeth cleaned, and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended if you're in the Raleigh-Durham area!

I absolutely love Dr. G and his team! They take amazing care of you and are very gentle. They listen to all of your concerns and make sure you are 100% comfortable during your visit. They even give you a clean warm blanket if you are cold I used to have very bad anxiety about dental procedures but I look forward to my visits every time now. They are like family.I would send EVERYONE here. My mom and staff travel from Rocky Mount for their amazing care!

I had tooth pain that I delayed going to see a dentist about and finally when it got bad, Dr. Giscombe and his staff really helped me out. They were so sweet and friendly. This really helped me calm down as I am really scared to see dentists. The office was really nice with lovely views. Dr. Giscombe was really nice to see me fast since it was an emergency which I really appreciated. Highly recommend.

After my family's previous dentist relocated, we were in a rush to find another family-friendly dentist that each of us were comfortable with. I found Dr. G and Blue Ridge Dental in a Facebook group where many people had referred him and spoke highly of him. Upon further research, I learned that he was in dental school with my previous dentist! I felt good vibes from that point on, and when we finally came in for our appointments, the good vibes remained. Dr. G is thorough and has a great demeanor, and his office staff is super friendly and professional. We just started coming here, but we already feel at home. I highly recommend Blue Ridge Dental!

Blue ridge dental care is top of the line ! As a person being fearful of dental appointments, my experience was most delightful ! For the past several years, Dr. G has never failed to take excellent care of my teeth. I'm grateful for him and his dental hygienists for keeping my smile crisp and clean. I always look forward to my teeth cleaning because of how friendly and professional the staff are.

The cleanings are very detailed and the service is great. The visit although lengthy is done by professionals who care about your teeth and oral hygiene health. My family of five has been a patient of Dr. Giscombe since 2017. We value his service. We also really enjoy the cleaning by the hygienist Charlene.

I have bounced around with dentists since we moved to Raleigh, never really feeling like I had found a good dentist that I trusted with my teeth. With Blue Ridge Dental Care, I had wonderful, professional service from everyone. The x-rays, exam, and cleaning were all well done, efficient, and friendly. I know that as long as I am in Raleigh, I now have a permanent dentist.

This dentistry is amazing the staff are so great and friendly. They accommodate your needs. Dr G was very good at explaining everything. I have personally never been so educated on my teeth! If you're looking for a dentist you should definitely give them a try. It's well worth it
