After growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Calvo got his first job working in a bank where he discovered banking was not for him. He then graduated cum laude from the University of California, San Diego, before being accepted to the UCLA School of Dentistry. After achieving his DDS, he moved to Las Vegas to continue his training at the University of Nevada School of Medicine Advanced Dental Residency program. In this program, he received extensive training in advanced dental procedures including implant placement, oral surgery techniques and cosmetic dentistry. He began practicing in 2006.
'I have a passion for all aspects of dentistry, says Dr. Calvo. I am dedicated to delivering a high quality of care and service to all my patients. Many people have a negative impression about dental visits. I enjoy being able to improve my patients oral health and smiles while also changing their outlook on dental care by providing a more positive and enjoyable experience.
Dr. Abalos grew up in the shadow of Disneyland in Southern California. Its not surprising, then, to learn that her first job was at the world-famous theme park. She then attended the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating in 2009 with a degree in psychobiology. She went on to complete her dental education at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine and has been practicing since 2009.
Ive wanted to be a dentist for as long as I can remember, says Dr. Abalos. My dad grew up in a country where people had their teeth pulled whenever there was a problem with them. Saving teeth was a luxury. My dad ended up with dentures and always said, If I knew this is what dentures would be like, I would have tried to keep my teeth. This motivated me to become an excellent dentist; I can help my patients keep their teeth, gums and mouths healthy so they can save their teeth.
Dr. Kori grew up in India watching her mother, an endodontist, provide care for patients. Dr. Kori saw how grateful patients were to get relief from their pain. She decided she wanted to provide the same relief for patients.
