South St. Louis Dental is centrally located in South St. Louis. Our office is minutes from I-44 and located in the well known St. Louis Hills area. We are easy to find and have plenty of free parking.
Dr. Schleiffarth grew up in the St. Louis area. He graduated in 1967 from John Burroughs School. After attending Kalamazoo College in Michigan and then the University of Missouri-Columbia, he then graduated with distinction and six months ahead of the scheduled graduation, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He was voted by the faculty into the honorary fraternity.
With ongoing continuing education, Dr. Schleiffarth is up to date in crowns, root canals, bridges, occlusion, TMJ (jaw pain) therapy, veneers, implants, nonsurgical periodontal (gum) treatment, and full and partial dentures.

Dr. Schleiffarth is an absolute phenomenal dentist. I would undoubtedly go back. BUT, be very careful with their billing department. Following my first visit I was sent bills that I paid until I realized that they were never submitted to my insurance in the first place! They were instead ran through a discount plan that I had no association with. After my most recent visit, I never received any notice of a bill until I got a collection notice from a strong arm debt collector. The address that was on the collection notice from the billing department was misspelled and only vaugley esembled my actual address. No clue if they ever sent me bills before turning me over to a credit wrecker. I can't recommend Dr Schleiffarth enough but pay very close attention to what goes on at the front of the office!

I have seen Dr. Schleiffarth for both dental cleanings and speciality dental work. It is convenient to get an appointment and everyone is very friendly. The office is older but the treatment is outstanding! Dr. Schleiffarth is extremely kind and thorough dentist. I have sensitive teeth so I haven't enjoyed the dentist in the past, however my visits at Dr. Schleiffarth have been very pleasant. He is careful to make sure the dental treatment or cleaning isn't painful. Last visit, he did speciality dental work and it looked amazing! What sets Dr. Schleiffarth apart is his attention to detail and his commitment to listening and addressing your concerns! If you are looking for an amazing dentist, you should see Dr. Schleiffarth!

I'm beyond grateful for Dr. Schleiffarth. I've been having trouble with a previously filled cavity for a while and it got really bad with the cold weather lately. The receptionist lady was able to get me booked relatively quickly even before my insurance switched over from the previous dentist. This clinic is old-fashioned, but very welcoming and down to earth. Dr. Schleiffarth helped me understand what was causing the pain in my tooth, and gave me a prompt root canal treatment while making sure I experienced minimal pain during the procedure. For how deep my inflammation was, I was just glad he could fix it for me! Doc was very patient and has a good sense of humor, too. I didn't feel embarrassed about my dental conditions at all. I already recommended this office to my colleagues :)

Best Dentist in town. I had a big gap in my teeth that he filled in and now I have a perfect smile. Also he has done other work without any pain.

The man knows what he's doing. Came in one day because of an infected molar I had that was just killing me. He took a look at the previous x-rays I given him from a different dentistry and he was able to determine what was going on from that. Numbed me up and eventually extracted it. I will be going to him next time for other services!

This dentist is a real caring person. He explains everything he is doing and i appreciate that. Also, I have visited, two other dentist before this one. For one of my back tooth, they both said i need a root canal immediately, and one insisted to extract it if i won't be able to afford for root canal. But this dentist said we shouldn't try root canal directly, instead we can try to save the nerves. He put temp filling and after 2 months, my teeth is totally fine right now. First, i will be able to get away with just a filling now, second i still have my nerves. In terms of affordability, performance and friendliness i strongly recommend this dentist.
