Graduating at the top of his class at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York, Dr. Patel continued at Columbia to complete his post graduate work in endodontics, the field of dentistry which addresses dental injuries and tooth infections to preserve your natural teeth.
Dr. Patel firmly believes each patient has their own unique dental issues which need to be addressed with personalized treatment. Each person is treated as an individual, not a number in an insurance system. Dr. Patel has assembled a staff of specialists that can help patients with any type of dental issue they are experiencing, providing them with the caring treatment they expect.
Dr Racanelli received his undergraduate degree in Biology at the State Univeristy of New York at Geneseo. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University College of Dentistry and then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Department of Veterans Affairs in the Hudson Valley Healthcare System in Castle Point, NY.
Dr. Racanelli is a member of the American Dental Association, the NJDA, and the Academy of General Dentistry. In his spare time, he likes to cook and grill, spend time with family and friends, and travel to new countries.

Always making me and my daughter feel welcomed and comfortable from the minute we walked in. The space is always clean. Today We got to meet a new hygienist, and she was great with both of us. :)

First let me say that I liked every dental practitioner that I saw there. Dr Patel is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. However, the billing is shady, they routinely add services that were not performed when they submit your bill through insurance. I have been charged too many times for things that weren't done. Still I went back to them. I needed a dental implant and went to them. When you need a major procedure done, Dr Patel's wife takes you into her office and throws out figures until your head spins. They did not work with my insurance at all. The price they charged me was astronomical. I didn't know it at the time. I didn't shop around. I trusted them. Big Mistake. (That's on me). It is only now 3 years later, when I find I need 2 more dental implants, that I am realizing that Putnam Bright Smile might as well have put a gun to my head and said "give me all your money" So I need 2 more dental implants and I am thinking I need to take out a second mortgage to pay for this. I went to a different dentist near my workplace who was totally awesome and he referred me to "Leading Edge Oral Surgery". Everyone there was so knowledgeable and friendly and worked with my insurance to get the cost as reasonable as possible. When I saw the final cost, I was in shock. For 2 dental implants it will cost me 1/2 of what Putnam Bright smile charged for 1 implant. Need I say more? I am going on every review platform I can to warn anyone who might be considering going to Putnam Bright Smile away. They took advantage of me. Don't let them do it to you!

The staff is more than excellent! Friendly, informative and skilled. They made me feel VERY welcome. Dr. Patel was unbelievably patient and understanding about my issues and explained them to me wonderfully. I would absolutely recommend this office to anyone!!!

In my previous post I called Jeissy, a Hygienist, she is actually, the Dental Assistant. She worked alongside Dr. Patel for my root canal, and Dr. Amrita for my crown. She is pleasant, helps to calm your nerves and very professional!

If they say they take your insurance, don't believe them, double check. The Help was nice I guess. I walked out. (Hope this doesn't turn into an Elaine episode of Seinfeld) I'd rather travel back to LI than deal with this office in the woods.
