Dr. William Kapgan grew up in Los Angeles. He attended UCLA and received a degree in physiology. He then went on to dental school at University of Pacific in San Francisco. After dental school, Dr. Kapgan did a general practice residency in Minneapolis, MN then an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in University of Connecticut. After this, Dr. Kapgan completed a 4 year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Kapgan is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Kapgan's priority is patient safety and comfort. He will always take the time fully explain procedures and options that are available.
I would like to personally thank Dr. Kapgan and his his entire Dental Staff for truly making my Dental Experience a Great one!!! He took away all of my Dental Anxieties, and helped me to relax while I was having my Wisdom Teeth surgically removed!!!! I would 'HIGHLY'recommend Dr. Kapgan if you are looking for someone who is Super Knowledgeable, Experienced, Gentle To The Touch, Patient, and someone who truly understand how having Wisdom Teeth Surgically Removed Can be a very scary and uncomfortable feeling. So Dr. Kapgan definitely comes Highly Recommended!!!
OMG! I was so nervous because I had a few bad experiences with Oral Surgeons. Dr. Kapgan is one of the best. He knows what he is doing. He talk me through everything he was doing. He made sure I was comfortable during the procedure. The staff is amazing very kind and professional. All I can is don't deprive your self of the best dental care. I will use him for all my dental needs.

Was very pleased to get some old cracked fillings repaired here. Office staff very efficient and considerate, got me in to see the dentist promptly. Dr. Plavnik had great demeanor and was quick, competent and caring. New office and equipment seemed very modern - dentist was able to show me my x-rays and pictures of my teeth from the dentist chair. Having seen some very poor dentists elsewhere my visit here was a breath of fresh air. Convenient location at corner of Terrell Mill and Powers Ferry (though since Marietta added a center median and no U-Turn sign on Terrell Mill it's harder to get into coming from the west, watch out).
I cant say enough positive things about Dr. Plavnik, Dr. Kapgan and theirs staff at the Dental World of Marietta! They are professional, yet personable and really care about my health and happiness. Working with them is always a pleasant experience! They are great about working with my busy schedule and they always follow up with sincerity and thoughtfulness after my procedures. I greatly recommend Dental World of Marietta!
My first experience with this office. I liked the staff, the office, modern equipment . Doctor was very thorough. She found a small problem that needs to be crowned. Will definitely fix this problem in Dr. Plavnik office.

William Kapgan DDS is professional gentle and patient friendly. He explains the procedure process, make sure you're comfortable and tries to minimize the pain level. I have some work needed to be done you gotta call them to figure out what type of work needed they no what Because they gave you a worker plan I'm moving on to another dentist now can't take it anymore be done instead of having you a follow up appointment this place is the worst the ladies that works at the front desk Fire all of them...

Very professional, ripped my wisdom tooth out in 40 minutes and I was on my way. They offer local anesthetic and laughing gas or an IV sedation, so you have plenty of options. I went laughing gas and I liked how I was still awake but loopy. Don't drive yourself home - have someone take you to be safe. But beware, for extractions they require a deposit to book an appointment. You have to pay thos deposit either in-person (obviously before your appointment, because they don't book without a deposit) OR by giving them your credit card number by phone. I drove there to pay, it was kind of a pain.

Wonderful experience! I had a bad tooth extracted. I felt no pain. I was extremely nervous and the dental assistant made sure I was calmed down before the procedure. They are amazing and they listen to the patient! I will be back for regular dental care. I live an hour and a half away and it's worth it!

Dr. Kapgan, is an excellent oral surgeon and a master of his profession. it would be hard if not impossible to find an oral surgeon who compares, but his partner Dr. Plavnik does. You're in caring hands at Dental World.

I had an impacted wisdom tooth and was referred here. They evaluated me on a Tuesday and scheduled me for the extraction on that Friday. The staff and Dr. Kapgan were friendly and professional. The extraction was quick and relatively painless. Excellent work!

My experience here was the absolute worst dental experience ever. I've visited this place in excruciating pain. After waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment, repeatedly asked to complete sections of the document due to a faulty iPad, waiting an additional 20 minutes while in pain to see the Dentist for only 5 minutes was a NIGHTMARE. I was given very few options to properly address my concerns; none of which were cheaper than $2200. I would have highly considered paying in cash that moment but I don't trust that they would complete the procedure correctly with care. I wasn't given anything for pain nor, did I feel the dentist cared. I felt rushed, and frankly disrespected. I will NEVER return here. Not to mention the bunch of what appears to be teenagers running the front office. HORRIBLE
