As second generation Orthodontist, Dr. Naffah has dedicated more than fourteen years to providing orthodontic care to patients of all ages, both in private practice and in teaching settings. In addition, she is trained in the interdisciplinary management of patients with Craniofacial Anomalies. She was initially foreign-trained in dentistry at Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, and as an exchange student participated in research projects in the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She attended a 3-year Orthodontics Postgraduate program in the well-known Universidad El Bosque also in Bogota, Colombia. Right after, she completed a Fellowship in Craniofacial Anomalies in the University of California in San Francisco.
After returning to her home country of Colombia, Dr. Naffah practiced in Bogota as an Orthodontist for more than six years, combining working in her family-owned private office with teaching in two Orthodontics programs at recognized universities, where her focus was teaching all aspects related to providing orthodontic care to patients with Craniofacial Anomalies; in addition, during this period of time, she became involved in one of the few Interdisciplinary Teams in the country with Hospital de la Misericordia.
Once she relocated to Florida, she worked at Nova Southeastern University in the Department of Orthodontics as adjunct faculty at the postgraduate level for two years. Next, she completed a 2-year AEGD program in the Florida Institute for Advanced Dental Education (aka Dade County Dental Research Clinic) and obtained her license in the State of Florida, where she has resumed private practice for the past three and a half years.
Besides her background, Dr. Naffah has been member of recognized associations including the World Federation of Orthodontics, the Colombian Society of Orthodontics, and the Colombian Dental Federation. In addition, considering her belief about the importance of keeping up with the latest advances in techniques, technology and equipment, she attends local and international professional meetings in a continuous basis. As part of our team, it is her interest to continue providing excellent Orthodontic care to patients in our community, offering them exceptional knowledge and experience.

Erika was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela where she graduated from High school and shortly after she moved to the States in search of a better quality of life because of safety and political problems in her country. Erika is currently studying Psychology in Florida International University.
Lina was born in Cali, Colombia. She moved to the States in 2001. She attended Sanford Brown Instituted in 2008, where she received her Dental Assistant Diploma. She has worked for several other family practices until she joined our team in November of 2014. She has received her dental assistant CEREC training. What Lina likes most about her profession is to provide an environment where patients can feel cared and loved to help them enjoy their visit.

We 're fortunate enough to have one of our favorite Italian restaurants directly across the street from our dental office! Tavolino Della Notte was created with the idea of elevating homestyle Italian cooking. It pays homage to the owner 's 'Nonna' with family-style dining in a fine dining atmosphere. Whether you try the ossobuco ravioli or the acclaimed pear pasta, you 're sure to leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face.
If you're in the mood to sample some of our local brews, you can't do better than Big Bear Brewing on North University Drive. Featuring an expansive menu, Big Bear has something for everyone. Their chicken puff pastry, rattlesnake salad with ahi tuna, and their Waygu burger are some of our favorites. Don't forget to take advantage of their happy hour and local brews!
Red Ginger Asian Bistro, another of our favorite spots to enjoy a meal, is right down the road from our office on W. Sample St. Their 'Wine Down Wednesday' is a hit with locals and visitors alike, as every Wednesday after 7pm, all bottles of wine are half off! The Bhudda 's feast and seafood tofu soup are some of our favorite dishes to try, but no matter what you choose at Red Ginger, make sure to try the Polynesian fried rice: it 's a can 't-miss!

Best dentist in town! From the moment you walk in the doors, shanty greets you with big smiles! They will help you with all your insurance questions and coverage. Dr. Daysy in the back as well as her assistants make you feel as comfortable as possible if you're someone that gets nervous going to the dentist. She will let you know the different treatment option as available to you and what is better for your dental health in the long run. Now I never miss a hygiene appointment with my wonderful Mercy and my routine checks with Dr. Daysy! Oh and the Botox and PRP treatment I got with her I LOVE THE RESULTS! Aligners, whitening...it's a must! Thank you always!!

This use to be a good place to go for dental care. However, since Melissa the hygienist left they have had a high turnover on hygienist and ongoing cancelations for me. The last time about a month ago I had an 8am appointment and I got there only for them to say the hygienist called in. I asked for Dr. Pinero to call me and she never did.

I've had nothing but excellent care with the Dental Wellness Team over the past 6 years. All of the staff are super friendly, quick, caring and professional. Even when they add new staff I never notice a change in service. They have the latest technology and it always feels safe and clean there.

This office is absolutely amazing. Mercy Alfonso is the best dental hygienist out there. She spends her time not only improving the health of your teeth and gums, but takes the extra mile to educate her patients on the importance of home care and hygiene. She answered every question I had without hesitation and took the time to make sure I understood what I was being taught. She always makes me feel comfortable by explaining my oral health rather than simply giving me a diagnosis without explanation/solutions to control the problem. Love it there!

Typical dental office. You confirm the price and when you are checking out, its a different price for one reason or another. The receptionist made a mistake. Such a ripoff this office. Beware.

Dr. Pinero and her staff were great. I am not an easy patient due to having dental issues in the past. They explained things, were up front about payments and went out of their way to make me comfortable in the dentist chair - gave me a blanket! Everyone in the office was friendly and nice. Also, they have advanced technology which was amazing. I had to get a crown and they were able to make it right there on the premises and I was done within two hours of walking in the door. Lastly, Dr. Pinero and her staff are so genuinely upbeat, positive and overall just nice. I am not a fan of going to the dentist but if you are looking for someone with good dental knowledge and a smile, you should go see Dr. Pinero!

I called because I couldn't find the building and the young lady at reception was so helpful. Not annoyed by my lacking sense of direction. She was a delight. The staff was incredible, patient and comforting. I think I found my long term dentist here.

The entire office staff, techs and dentists are well trained in their jobs and they make you feel comfortable in every step of your visit. This is a great practice to become a patient at. I would not consider anyone else for our dental care.
