Most people actively avoid visiting the dentist because of anxiety and fear of needles and drilling. However, with modern dental technology, such as Solea Laser, you can now visit a dentist near me for any dental procedure.

Solea is a dental laser that uses a unique wavelength to deliver speedy results regardless of the dental treatment. It produces a narrow, but intense beam of light that can remove and reshape the tissue and the enamel. The laser allows the dentist to work on any tooth, whether virgin teeth or those with restorations with ease.

  • Our Suffern family dentist can do most of the procedures quickly and easily in a single visit. This takes away the frustration of having to stay still in the chair as you wait for the dentist to carry out the procedure.
  • A Solea laser dentist near you will take you through the procedure and what you can expect. Next, he will target the affected area using the computer and focus the laser to remove the cavity or infection. The process is fast and lasts for a couple of minutes.

No, it does not hurt. Since you will not be numb, you will feel a cold sensation, like an ice cream every couple of seconds, but it is not painful. Plus, you will not experience any gum bleeding or soreness as is common with traditional procedures.

You will have less damage to surrounding tissues. Traditional procedures often cause damage or bruising in the tissues, which creates pain in the gums. You will not experience discomfort because the Solea laser targets a specific spot and this reduces soft tissue damage.

However, while Solea can is beneficial for any dental procedure, the dentist may opt for other pain-reducing options like sedation dentistry when it comes to root canals and other endodontic procedures.

Solea dental laser is recommended for all people, including pregnant women. Children can also use laser dentistry, and it is beneficial too as it helps them stay still during the procedure. People with preexisting health conditions, pacemakers, and orthodontic devices often cannot get certain traditional procedures. But, with the Solea laser, the dentist in Suffern can perform the different dental procedures without inhibiting or affecting your preexisting problem.

Solea laser is covered by most dental insurance policies just like the traditional procedures. Solea simply replaces the traditional drilling, so the billing is the same. But, it is important to discuss the cost and what is covered by the dentist in Mahwah.

Solea can be used in most traditional practices like deep teeth cleaning. However, it does not replace your oral hygiene or regular teeth cleaning (it only makes the process much faster). It is important to maintain proper dental hygiene to prevent common dental problems.

Solea laser is an anxiety-free and pain-free dental technology that allows you to go through any dental procedure with ease and without dental phobia. Plus, you will not get numb gums, cheeks, and lips as is the case with local anesthesia.

Very friendly staff and even in the face of a root canal, Dr. Alpert and her staff made me feel at ease. Couple that with the convenient office hours, superlative chair-side manner, and an unmatched level, happy to make the drive to continue being Dr. Alpert's patient!!

Had not been to the dentist in six years and Carissa did such a great job deep cleaning my teeth. Unfortunately I did have a cavity, but Sherri and Carol did such a wonderful job using their amazing laser instead of a drill to take the cavity out. The laser was so quick, quiet, non-invasive and not to mention cool. The best part being I didn't even need to be numbed for this procedure!!! The laser just felt a little cold when they were using it and that was it. I highly recommend the Dental Wellness of Suffern!!!!

Where do I start?!? Over the past 20+ years I've been to more dentists than I'd like to admit. My experiences with dentists have always been painful, loud drills that usually leave me clenching, bleeding, scared, hearing things like "pull the tooth" or "you need a root canal" or "no, there's nothing we can do, this is it". OH! NOT TO MENTION... the infamous "we don't accept your insurance and you owe a trillion dollars". I think more than the pain, the money for my teeth barely being fixed was always a sore spot for me. Paying for quality is fine; paying for absolute pain and no lasting results has always been the bigger issue for me. I met Dr. Alpert and explained my fear of dentists and my experiences, she was so incredibly understanding, nurturing and made it a point to walk me through each step before she did anything. From the moment I made my appointment, I felt comfortable, well taken care of and important. The staff all work great together to make you feel at home and like you're a priority. Dr. Alpert worked on fixing my 2 front teeth and she was so gentle, no drills (she used a laser; which was a first for me!) and just like a true artist, sculpted my teeth & made sure the color matched my other teeth. In no time at all, my teeth were done, my mouth wasn't hurting, my gums weren't cut and left bleeding and I didn't need numbing, which made it even better because I didn't have that awkward "am I drooling" & "can't feel my face" feeling! All in all, this was the greatest dentist experience I've ever had and oddly enough, I'm looking forward to my next visit with her. Dr. Alpert is definitely one of those rare doctors that you search your whole life for and when you find that perfect rare gem; you just KNOW you can NEVER let them go! She is that person! I highly recommend her for all dental services & I just found out that she can make my husband stop snoring (using a laser!!!!!), so HE WILL BE SEEING HER SOON!!!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Dr. Alpert & her office go over & above, are professional and kind. I am being treated with laser therapy for TMJ and with the first treatment, could feel the muscle knots "melting" in my neck. Highly recommended this office.

After a dental emergency (front tooth fell out) I was scheduled the next day and underwent a minor surgical procedure in a most professional manner. I was extremely pleased with their expertise and graceful manner. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Alpert and all of the staff were incredibly professional. Since childhood, I've struggled with going to the dentist to the point that I had neglected to go for the past few years. It was easier to ignore my teeth. Dr. Alpert was gentle, informative, and truly cared about me as both a patient and a person. I had some serious issues brewing, but she outlined a detailed treatment plan for me and gave me reassurance and solutions. I would absolutely recommend giving her a call.

I found Dr. Alpert through a friend and now my whole family goes there. Doc and the entire team are nothing short of amazing. They made my children feel comfortable and secure. The laser technology she uses is great and can often replace injections and numbing. Awesome!! She works with you to provide the best treatment for short and long term care. A must for you and your family!!

I am very lucky to be a patient of Dr. Alpert. She filled a cavity that went clear through the tooth with a new lazer machine and no novacaine. She is an amazing dentist who is always looking to advance her skills and she sincerely cares about providing her patients with a comfortable affordable experience. The new machine, acquired in November, numbs the area while doing its job without the scary buzzing sound of the drill. I experienced no pain and of course as is typical, Dr. Alpert did a little extra to make the tooth perfect. Even the dental hygienist couldn't tell which tooth was worked on by Dr. Alpert. The new hygienist also took extra care to be gentle and use a tooth brushing agent that i had requested. The person who controls all finances was so kind and helpful. I am more than satisfied and will tell all my friends and family about my experience and trust in Dr. Alpert and her staff. Dr. Alpert is a compassionate caring person. Her values and sincere concern for my circumstances place her in my guardian angel category of those humans whom I feel blessed to know. She always considers what treatment is most beneficial and treats me as a whole person. I am so very grateful to have her for a dentist. For example she is willing to return to a less modern method of not pulling two teeth and will instead provide me with a removable partial instead of implants. This works better for me, since living on a Social Security income doesn't stretch too far. She goes beyond being a dentist to being a 'mensch.'
