After graduating from the University of Dayton in 2001, Dr. Steven Johnson worked in the business world for a few years before realizing his passion for dentistry. He then continued his formal education by attending The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.
Upon completing dental school, Dr. Johnson enrolled in a general practice residency at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine. Dr. Johnson practiced in Colorado for some time before he and his wife returned to the Midwest to be closer to their family. They are now happy to be a part of the Milford community.
Dr. Johnson has also undergone extensive training at the Kois Center in Seattle, learning the latest aesthetic, implant, and restorative dentistry advances. He also holds certifications in Invisalign*, Orthodontics, and Sedation Dentistry.
As a 2nd generation dentist, Dr. Johnson strives to uphold the traditions and standards set by his fathers practice. Dr. Johnson grew up witnessing first-hand the difference a commitment to patient care can make, and so hes made that the driving force in his practice.
As a private dental provider, Dr. Johnsons goal is to reclaim the personalized care that the corporate dental industry is leaving behind. By focusing on systemic oral-body wellness, he can better serve his patients in improving their overall health and quality of life - not just how their teeth look.
Outside of office hours, Dr. Johnson has lent his skills and expertise to non-profit clinics serving refugee and underserved populations. He and his wife Erika are the busy parents of three wonderful children (two boys and one girl) and enjoy spending their time watching the kids sporting events and adventuring in the great outdoors: downhill skiing, camping, and hiking.

Very professional and friendly. They made me feel very comfortable as a fearful patient. I was prescribed medication to take prior to the procedure and I felt very relaxed and comfortable. I will return for other appointments.

These people really care. They take the time to discuss things. I didn't quite understand so plans were discussed again differently so i could understand. They are friendly and care about their patients.

I just recently started going to this dentist and I totally recommend! I have a severe phobia of dentists and they worked with me and was very patient and understanding. I had to have two teeth extracted and I was a nervous wreck but they did an amazing job and it was a pain free experience. I highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be a returning for all my dental work in the future!

We have loved Dr. Johnson and all of the amazing staff for years! Today my 3 year old asked if we could go again tomorrow to see Ms. Kay and her special tools after his first visit. Thank you to everyone for being so great!

I've been through hell and back with my dental health that's caused high anxiety and fear in going to the dentist. I won't even get my teeth cleaned and I was prepared to find a dentist to just pull all my teeth. I choose Dental Wellness of Milford because of all the high praises on Google reviews and made an appointment. Yes it was a wait to get an appointment but well worth the wait. This was a wonderful dental experience. The staff is amazing from the front desk to checking out. Dr. Johnson is an amazing dentist. He is very personal, cares about his patients and makes you feel so comfortable. He is a one of a kind dentist. I'm looking forward to getting my dental health back on track. Thank you so much!
