I went here when I broke a tooth and they were the only people open Saturday morning. They were very helpful, saw me quickly and took x-rays... But then they tried to sell me on a root canal and gumline de-scaling at jacked-up prices. My regular dentist determined I just needed a crown and several years later it appears he was right. Points for being open and taking walk-ins, bad karma for being predatory with people in pain.

I am so happy I decided to switch dentist... it's the best medical decision I've made in a while! Thanks Downtown DC! Keep up the GREAT work. Leslie Fox... #DentalTownDCRocks

They have been consistently caring, thorough and proactive to my mother and to me. Dr. Popa is particularly skilled and good-natured. We are thrilled we found this neighborhood dental facility.

Do not go here! I got Invisalign through them and had a TERRIBLE experience. For my Invisalign aligners they missed a tooth on it! All of my aligners were made with a tooth missing from it! When I brought it up they were completely dismissive of me and would not remake the aligners. I had to ask multiple times before the aligners were remade. The new aligners that were made, did not fit my teeth and again my concerns were dismissed. I had to switch providers to finish my Invisalign treatment. Dental town has not responded to any attempt to contact them for a refund for their faulty and inept dental practice. Go literally anywhere else for treatment!

I've always been very nervous about dentists, Dr. Yacoub went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable at every step of the process and was so kind. I doubt I'll ever go anywhere else!

Dr. Popa is always 5 star - this is my first time using him at this new location as I have used him in the past - Front desk absolutely fantastic very accommodating and the techs that did my x-rays and set me up were absolutely wonderful I was completely at ease - the place is perfect - I am extremely fussy about where I go see a dentist you don't need to think twice

Nightmarish experience. I went here for the first time in January. First, the dental assistant was very sweet and took x-rays. Then, the dentist came in awhile later and it all went downhill... The dentist was sneezing and coughing saying "don't worry, it's not COVID." More importantly, though, the dentist was rude and disrespectful. She was trying to teach the dental assistant a few things at my time and expense. It was clear the dental assistant wasn't understanding her questions, but the dentist kept asking them over and over and over and getting more visibly annoyed every time... in front of me. Then, when we got all done nearly two hours later, the dentist told me I had several problems and needed a lot of work done. I had a gut feeling that this was not right, so I never scheduled a follow up appointment as instructed. Yesterday I went to a new dentist who is SO good -- he respected my time, had good bedside manner, and to no surprise, found NOTHING wrong. Dental Town DC is in the business of making money, not caring for patients.

Such a great experience! I had a dental emergency and had no established dentist in the area. Dental Town was able to get me in the next day, and the entire staff was beyond helpful from start to finish. Chelsea at the front desk called my insurance company for me and let me know upfront exactly what I would need to pay - the transparency was amazing. The doctor was so incredibly kind and had me in and out in less than an hour. I can't thank them enough for all of their help!

Best dentist hands down! Dr. Shenasi and the whole team are amazing. I have been her patient for over a year now. The environment is clean and calming for anyone who is nervous about the dentist, and everyone is super friendly. They treat you very well, look out for your health, and explain things every step of the way. I even referred my boyfriend (who used to dread going to the dentist) but he loves it here too.

IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT COME TO DENTALTOWN DC! The administration of this practice is sloppy at best and deceitful/fraudulent at worst. Not all is bad about this place: hygienists/dentists seem knowledgeable and friendly enough and it isn't too challenging to get an appointment. However, I had a series of issues with this place concerning billing/insurance that resulted in me feeling scammed/bait-and-switched: This office charged my insurance for xrays that I never had done. Upon informing them of this, they said they would fix it but did not even mark it in their system. Most notably, this office gave me the wrong estimate of how much a mouthguard would cost based on my insurance, leading me to go ahead with getting it. After doing the molds, they tried to charge me more than DOUBLE the price that the initially mentioned to me. Once I pointed this out, they fell back on that it was "just an estimate." The manager threw her front desk staff under the bus for this, blaming them for reading the insurance system wrong but refused to give me the price that we had discussed. It felt unfair to me because I made the decision to proceed based on the price/estimate that they had provided to me and because of their error, I was left holding the bag for double the cost. They should have provided me with the accurate price either days before the appointment or when I showed up! I offered to meet them in the middle in the spirit of compromise but was told no, so I left without a mouthguard. I felt like they didn't really care about the increased cost and I was really frustrated by this experience and the manner in which the manager handled my issue. Overall, the administration of this place needs a TON of work. This place is going to cost you extra time in trying to fix their mistakes and extra money when they won't own up to them. I left and won't be coming back.
