Dr. Sidney Sternberger received his doctoral degree from theNew Jersey Dental Schoolat the University of Medicine and Dentistry at New Jersey in 2008. He completed a year of general dentistry training atColer Goldwater Specialty Hospitalin New York City, a year of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implantology. He has extensive training in all phases of general dentistry, reconstructive and restorative dentistry including dental veneers, crowns, and dental implants.
Dr. Sidney Sternberger is formerly an Assistant Clinical Professor at Stony Brook University. He is currently a Clinical Attending of Prosthodontics in the Department of Dental medicine at both Wyckoff Heights Medical Center & Northwell - Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Melody Nourmand received her doctoral degree fromStony Brook University College of Dentistrywhere she also completed her residency training. She is experienced in all phases of general dentistry, pediatrics, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Nourmand's passion is to provide patients with that healthy aesthetic smile of which they've dreamed. When Dr. Nourmand is not treating patients, you can find her spending time with her husband and two beautiful children.

I love the staff of Dental Symmetry and highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist or dental hygienist. Dr. Sternberger and Dorothy are wonderful people both professionally and personally. I've been a patient of theirs for many years and hopefully many more to come.

Love Dental Symmetry. Entire staff is friendly, patient and caring. Never feel rushed and always make sure to get things right. Always find a way to fit you in if you are having a problem. Definitely recommend!!!

I went to Dental Symmetry to get a crown made for a dental implant in the front of my mouth. Dr. Sternberger made me a tooth that was appropriate for a horse. Actually, when I showed it to my former (retired) dentist of 30 years his words were "abominable". He and his hygienist kept marveling about how well they got the color to match. It wasn't until I got home that I realized how oversized this tooth was and how self conscious I was going to be smiling. When I called to discuss my dissatisfaction he misrepresented the consultation by saying that he had given me options for another way to do this. He had not! Then he pointed out that most people don't choose that option. I felt very uncomfortable returning to a dentist that would lie to cover up his incompetence and went to another dental. This dentist made me an amazing tooth, with a beautiful smile. Of course Dr. Sternberger refused to refund my money and I had to pay twice the amount.

I haven't had any work done yet, just a consult and I'm going back. Everyone was kind and made me feel comfortable. As of right now I would recommend on bedside manner. Hopefully the work matches their approach.

After my dentist retired, I was in search of an excellent dentist and it was hard to find someone I trusted and felt confident about but then I found Dr. Sternberger through a reliable recommendation and boy am I happy. Dr. Sternberger is not only excellent at his craft but also caring and "does the right thing" - he won't do something unless it's necessary and executes it efficiently and with care. If you are looking for a new dentist for whatever reason, your search ends here. Highly recommend!

In the past, I would put off going to the dentist. Dr. Sternberger, however, is so capable and does everything so painlessly that I have no more worries about dentist visits. Dr. Sternberger is very friendly as is everyone in staff. Extremely positive experiences since switching to him.

Always so friendly and welcoming! I'm scared of dentists and always have anxiety but the dentists and staff always make me feel calm and safe. They do wonderful work and I'm glad I found them!

The experience was great! The staff is accommodating and does an excellent job! My teeth were x-rayed , cleaned and fully examined by the hygienist and dentist!!

Dr. Sternberger fulfills every high expectation! He's an excellent prosthodontist who is gentle, kind, honest and responds to patients' questions and concerns in a very reassuring manner. He's performed several surgical procedures for me with great precision and wonderful outcomes. He's got hands of gold!

I am so proud of my smile now. Dr Sternberger is the best dentist in the world and I can't wait for my next visit! As a diabetic I am prone to bad/weak teeth, which has led to a lifetime of dental visits. Unlike other dental offices I have visited throughout my life, Dental Symmetry has made my dental visits comfortable and enjoyable. Dr Sternberger has fixed my cavities and did a fantastic crown on me. They use the latest technology and procedures.
