Before following his wife back to her hometown, Dr. Gelman earned his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he was awarded the Academy of Dental Materials Award for Excellence in Scholarship in Dental Materials and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Award for Undergraduate Scholarship. He continued his post-doctorate training in a General Practice Residency at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, an affiliate hospital of The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he gained extensive experience in dental implantology and prosthodontics. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Gelman graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University with a B.A. in Biology. Dr. Gelman has conducted research in modern aesthetic dental ceramics and presented his research before the International Association of Dental Research. His techniques have been published in the peer reviewed Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. Drawn to dentistry both for its creative and technical aspects, Dr. Gelman has a passion for problem solving, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society, and is committed to lifelong learning through continuing education.
From the time of receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Northwestern University Dental School in Evanston, Illinois in 1980, Dr. Freeman has been the Chicago northshore dentist for over 32 years. Since beginning his career as a dentist in skokie, Dr. Freeman has placed an emphasis on prevention and a concern for patient dental health.
While emphasizing dental health, Dr. Freeman has made it a priority to get to know each patient individually. As an experienced dentist in skokie, Dr. Freeman firmly believes that establishing a caring and trusting relationship with each patient creates a more comfortable experience for both parties (especially with children). Dr. Louis I. Freeman is an active member of the northshore community of Chicago and lives in Wilmette with his three children.
Dr. Freeman has completed numerous advanced training courses in cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, dental implants, fixed prosthodontics like crowns and bridges, and removable prosthodontics like dentures and partial dentures.
Dr. Jason Brenner earned his doctorate from the University of Maryland Dental School of Dental Medicine and continued his post-doctorate training in a general Practice Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York, where he gained extensive experience in dental implantology and prosthodontics.
Originally from New York City, Dr. Brenner graduated cum laude from City University of New York Brooklyn College with a B.A. in Economics. He now lives in Lincolnwood with his wife and 3 children. In his free time Dr. Brenner enjoys spending time with his family, playing and watching sports, cooking and music.
Dr. Patrick Carroll is an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon with eight years of experience. During his undergraduate studies Dr. Patrick Carroll focused on biology, where he graduated with honors, and earned himself an early admission to the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Upon completing his DDS in the top 10% of his class, Dr. Carroll elected to further develop his talents and complete his residency studying Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt University.
While studying Oral surgery at Vanderbilt, Dr. Carroll would receive heavy exposure to trauma, pathology, anesthesia, and dentoalveolar surgery. His training at Vanderbilt was of paramount importance. Dr. Carroll would act as the chief resident of the facial trauma and reconstruction team where he would further hone his skills.

Needed a tooth extraction after finally not able to tolerate anymore pain. Sent an pre-dawn email and got a call back to have an appointment the same morning. Staff did a great job reassuring me I was in good hands. Dr Carrol did a fantastic job getting that ancient tooth out and now I'm so relieved to have had a experience with a procedure that no one looks forward to. Professional all the way!

I almost didn't want to share how much i enjoy working with their office. Moms they make it easy to schedule bc they actually see you at the time of the apt. You are not stuck with kids, while office runs behind. They make it easy!!

I am Bob's wife and I want you to know that he has been totally pain-free after his tooth was removed on Friday. He's been eating soft food and being careful about food that's too hot - but other than that, life has been normal and fine. You all are terrific and I want thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness....and, of course, gentleness. And, for taking the time to talk to us and answer questions. In addition, your colleagues at the front desk are outstanding, as well, and patient. Many thanks for your time and your patience....with your patient.

Terrible customer service. A receptionist will yell at you over the phone and in person just cuz your insurance does not cover your surgery and doesnt care about ur questions. Will definitely not go back here and not recommending this place to no one.

I had my first visit here today and it was an excellent experience. Dr. Freeman explained the course of treatment and took his time to be sure I understood everything. My hygienist, Arnisha, was perfect. Pleasant, efficient, and sensitive about my comfort during the procedure. All charges were explained before the work started, factoring in what my insurance would likely cover. A very professional experience all around.

Vanessa was super nice and very helpful in navigating through our new insurance. She spent a lot of time on the phone with me on my first call and I was so thankful for her. The surgeon was patient and explained everything to my husband as he went along with the procedure. He was very thorough and didn't take very long. We will definitely be back for any future issues.

First time customer, visited Skokie location for emergency. Mia was AMAZING! Super helpful & even held my hand cos I was being so extra about getting the shot. Dr. Brenner was amazing. Super patient & made sure I was comfortable & fully informed of my options. Honestly, I think this is the best experience I've had with any dentist. Very positive experience. Visited the Skokie office for the first time. I went for a teeth cleaning. Perfect location with plenty of parking , well organized, clean office, modern equipment, friendly receptionst, detail-oriented and gentle hygienist, and a very good and caring doctor. The receptionist helped me to complete the paperwork because it was too small and faint for me to read. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Dr. Freeman clearly explained to me how to brush my teeth properly and treated me well. I will definitely go back.
