Dr. Alejandra Polanco, Dr. Ale was born and raised in New York City. She began her educational journey at the City University of New York Queens College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2008, with a major in Psychology and minor in Chemistry. Dr. Polanco then furthered her education by earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2015 from Columbia University in New York City. She realized in dental school that her pediatric patients tell the best stories and they need the most advocates for oral health. She went on to complete her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2017. After residency training, Dr. Polanco served underserved patients in community health centers in Green Bay, WI and Winter Haven, FL. In her spare time, Dr. Polanco enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband Anthony, her two crazy pups (Moo & Twinkie), traveling and exploring new restaurants in the Tampa Bay Area. Dr. Polanco and her husband just welcomed their first baby boy in November 2021!
After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, he obtained a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry in Oral Biology at Temple University Dental School at Philadelphia in 1989.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Association of Orthodontists, Hillsborough County Dental Association, West Coast District Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Southern Association of Orthodontists and American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Galeano is involved in the community by supporting sports programs and speaking to children about the benefits of orthodontics and dental home care in local school programs. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching recreational soccer, playing rackettball and spending quality time with his family.

As with what you would expect at a Doctors office it's clean and roomy. Dr Ruben's equipment is state of the art with hand-held X-ray cameras and 3D optical scanners. What separates this facility from the others is the level of Professionality. Dr. Rubens' staff is good, in fact Amazing! The staff is well trained and they work well as a team, completely proficient in Spanish as well as English. I don't think a better dental office exists here in Tampa Bay.

The long process of getting complete dentures with lower implants was made pleasant by all of the staff. The end product is that I am healthier and I am able to smile with out covering my mouth. Each step was done with detailed oversight of the Dr. Thank you Dental specialty group.

Doctor Polanco and her assistant were WONDERFUL! clean place, great location and hours! We needed something early and we were able to do the 8am. I brought in my two year old Son and I'm glad I found her as a Pediatric Dentistry Doctor. The cleaning was fast, fun and she was so lovely with my Son. We have already scheduled our second appointment. My Son has an amazing experience

Unbelievable staff and overall experience. I arrived 10 minutes before they opened, no appointment. Had cracked tooth with lots of pain, they got me taken care of and I was in and out in under 1 1/2 hours (again, no appointment and unannounced). Every staff member greeted with a smile and were very professional. I would highly recommend and I will continue to be a patient here in the future!!!

The staff is incredibly friendly, greeting you as you come in the door. Dr Mesia very professional and skilled, top to bottom. Cannot recommend him more highly. Dr. Mesia is so thorough and informative, and lets you know every step of the way what's going on so there are no surprises. Very calming, as well. Thank you Dr. Mesia and the entire team!!!

I've been in the dental chair since I was 2 yrs old & I'm 61 & still getting work done. I just got off the phone w/Alicia & I have NEVER been as impressed with a dental/oral surgeon/implant office (EXCEPT my own dentist) as I have w/Dental Specialty Group of Pinellas!!! Money is VERY tight & other offices are charging $5,000 PLUS which they expect AT TIME OF SERVICE! Now, I don't want any office to just "throw the implant in" of course, but can't it be mid-range?...Alicia was very kind, patient, & informative on the phone & she did tell me we could make payments toward the implant but it does have to paid in full at completion, which is very reasonable. I would highly recommend this office & by the other reviews it looks like I chose the right place for my implant! Thank you Alicia!!!

I was in pain for about a week I called this office the Dentist Dr. Rubin was so kind to wait on me and receive me of my pain I was pleased with the service I received the entire staff was kind with a good bedside manor. and caring about his patients. He called to see how you were doing after the visit. I would recommend him to anyone. He's an excellent dentist.

I cannot share enough how great this experience was. I had what I thought was a significant dental issue/injury and walked in crying and scared. Dr Mesia and his staff were so unbelievably comforting. They answered all my questions and walked me through every step of the process along with the plan of action. The office is immaculate from floor to ceiling, the staff is so warm and welcoming and the health and safety protocols in place during Covid are thorough. They took great care of my son with his Invisalign treatment and were willing to work up a payment plan. I just wish there orthodontics had more hours availability, it can be difficult for some who don't have flexible working schedules.

They got me in quickly. I was in a lot of pain. They removed a tooth that could not be pulled by my own dentist. They were very professional and thorough. The staff was very polite. It was the most pleasant experience that I've had at a dentist office.
