Honors graduate from Semmelweis University in Budapest Hungary; Dr. Lior Bergercompleted his specialty training at State University of New York at Buffalo in 2001 inProsthodontics. This complex field of dentistry enables the doctor to understand the mechanics of functionality in various dimensions.
Dr. Berger has taken time to volunteer as a clinical instructor at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, AZ. He is also a member of the Arizona Dental Association and the American College of Prosthodontists. Fortunate to have Dr. Berger in the East Valley, he is one of less than 25 Prosthodontists residing in Arizona. Through continuous studies and research, he has been at the forefront of both the newly available and theoretical restorative technology. Like a chameleon in the ever-changing science of dentistry, Dr. Berger has continued to adapt and metamorphize the way we see dentistry today.
Dr. Berger caters to patients that have physical and mental disabilities. He works very closely with general dentists in the surrounding area on complex cases that involve various Prosthodontic procedures.
Dr. Brian Lilien, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, is board certified and a diplomate of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. His expertise is in pre-prosthetic oral surgery, preparing the oral cavity for dentures, crowns and implants. He has had extensive training and continuing education courses in grafting techniques. These techniques involved using innovative materials to maintain or grow bone in the jaw.
He practices the full scope of his profession with trauma, implant reconstruction, exposure of impacted teeth, and transplantation of teeth, surgical endodontics and pathology performed in Dental Specialty Associates state-of-the-art facility.
Dr. Lilien treats his patients as a whole, taking into consideration not only their current but their potential medical problems prior to his procedures. Chronic disease in the mouth has been recently implicated in causing potential diabetic problems, low birth weight, and premature babies as well as increasing the risk of respiratory pathology. He believes in the comprehensive management of the patient, including, if needed, communication with the patients physician or other health care provider. Whether a pediatric patient with a severe infection or an adult in need of full mouth implant reconstruction, Dr. Lilien treats each and every patient with the utmost respect and care.
Dr. Lilien earned his bachelors degree from Occidental College in 1984. A few years after, he received his DDS with honors from the University of the Pacific Dental School in 1988. From there he received an advanced certificate in hospital dentistry in 1989 from the University of California San Francisco and then went on to complete a four year surgical training residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago in 1993.
He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, The American Dental Society of anesthesiology, The American Dental Association, The Arizona Dental Association, The Arizona Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Phoenix Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and The Western Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Negative infinity! Do not come here! I came here for an impacted canine tooth! And it was unsuccessful 3 times! The chain was never attached correctly which I was told by another surgeon who told me and fixed it for me! I wasted my time and money here! They should not be doctors. They messed up 3 times! How could the surgeon do that? He clearly does not know what he was doing. My insurance no longer would cover for the surgery because it would have been a 4th time! They should have been the ones to pay for my surgery and give my money back! And when I went for a 4th consultation for the tooth you bet I did not pay for it because you guys had the audacity of charging me after your messed up big time not Once but THREE times! Lucky you guys are not shut down

Wow, I completely got that messed up. My apologies to Dental Specialty Associates. My last review was for Adelante Dental and not DSA. So here is my review for DSA. LOL, other then it being an hour away from where I live and I was only there for about 20 minutes I believe I would recommend them to people that would benefit from their assistance. The office was clean, the associates were nice and the dentist with whom I spoke with was knowledgeable. I am appreciative for the things the dentist and I spoke about. I can honestly say to you reading this review that, if you experience problems with your teeth or dentures this is a great place to go. I believe my dentist was Dr. John. He's very cool and very nice. Thank you for reading.

I needed to have major oral surgery because I am an idiot. I went to this place based on their research and their Gilbert office is close to home. From the day I walked in I was so nervous about what they would find and what they could do. Everyone was so nice and reassuring. Even the day of the surgery, they calmed me down and were excellent. I was so appreciative of what everyone did I started crying after the procedure. There is still some more left to be done but it will easy. Dr. Lilian gave me my smile and confidence back. I will be forever grateful for that.

Wonderful experience with Desert Specialty Associates-Phoenix. Dr. Lilien is an amazing surgeon and he not only addressed all my concerns and issues but was able to fix what previous dentists had really messed up. The staff was always helpful and kind. I am so glad I chose Dr. Lilien and would highly recommend to him to anyone!!!

Customer service was horrible, the staff and the dentist didn't seem to care about my services as a patient. They were hostile and acted like they didn't want to be at work on a Friday. They claimed they called me but did not and were rude as hell when I showed up for my appointment. They also forcefully wanted to sedate me for the procedure which wasn't necessary, I felt as if they just wanted to bill my insurance to the full extent, I was able to somewhere else without sedation for 300.00 less out of pocket.I will NEVER recommend anyone, to EVER visit the Phoenix location on 44th street,
