Dr. Emami has been Chief of Staff at Dental Specialties Inc for over 20 years. After completion of 3 years of college he was invited to attend Boston University School of Dentistry. During his education at Boston University School of Dentistry his area of concentration was periodontics, implantology, oral surgery & anesthesiology. After graduation, Dr. Emami was admitted to the prestigious Albert Einstein Medical Center at Montefiore Hospital where he received his certification in IV anesthesia. He is a father of two daughters & his loving German Shepherd, Angel.
Dr. Solowsky has been a member of Dental Specialties Inc since its inception. He is a graduate of New York University School of Dentistry. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Solowsky received his Periodontal Certificate from Tufts University in Boston. Dr. Solowsky enjoys all aspects of periodontal health, including long term maintenance of the dentition. He is an avid Red Sox fan & enjoys travel & photography.

Absolutely love this place and honestly find it hard to believe any negative review or comment. The staff is wonderful and Dr. Emami is a funny, kind man. As for people complaining about costs - teeth are expensive. Even with insurance. Get over it or do something to change how the US designs their dental plans. Update: Vote yes on question 2!!!

Just had to add to my original review of this awful dental clinic. I ended up getting my issues fixed at another clinic that seems way more qualified to deal with patients with dental anxiety. Dental partners of Boston in Charles river were wonderful. The X-ray tech wrapped the film in gauze to protect my gums and they were so considerate. They offer the same service as this terrible clinic and can still find the time to treat you like a human. And Dr Emami had told me that only dental specialties could help. I would definitely advise anyone considering a visit to this place to save themselves the danger and instead visit dental partners of Boston in Charles river

Had an appointment with Dr Emami and was treated so terribly. Even after mentioning my anxiety which is the reason why I went there the doctor and his assistant were so condescending, hostile and pretty terrible. Definitely the most shocking experience I have had in a dental office. Not a very welcoming place for POC.

I have several appointments with this dental and one of my experience is pretty bad (But the doctors and hygienist are super nice and I like them a lot). During one of my visits, when I finished the treatment, I walked out with the dentist and then checked out. No payment was required for me so I just left. After one week, I got a call from this office and they said I have to make payment for my previous visit IMMEDIATELY or they would CANCEL my next appointment (which was the same day afternoon). I agreed to make the payment and they made me pay both my previous and NEXT treatment the minute I arrived at the office before starting my NEXT treatment. I'm happy to pay anything I owe (I have already paid $2000) but the way this message communicated to me suggests that they already assume me deliberately not paying my previous visit and I'm really sad about it.

Been going there for years and decided to go elsewhere for a second opinion and was told that they left a fragment of tooth inside after extraction, which can happen but I shouldve been informed. Now a simple implant is not so simple and I wouldve never known if I just continued to go there.
