Dr. Reece Cochran received his bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University followed by a Masters Degree in Human Anatomy and Neuroscience before attending the Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Dental Medicine for his graduate dental degree. As a student at the School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Cochran accelerated in surgical aspects of dentistry with a concentration in implantology while fulfilling his responsibility as the class president. In his senior year, the American Academy of Periodontics awarded Dr. Cochran for his advanced education and training during dental school.
Dr. Cochran completed his specialty training in periodontics at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where he received a masters degree in periodontology. As a resident, he researched the effects of bone grafting materials on single tooth extraction sites for new bone formation with xenograft bone materials.
Dr. Cochran has applied to be diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and awaits acceptance. Dr. Cochrans specialty practice includes the complete spectrum of periodontal therapies, including minimally invasive microsurgical approaches for the treatment of periodontal diseases, dental implants, bone grafting, gingival grafting, full-mouth rehabilitation with implant supported prosthetics, dental laser treatment, periodontal plastic surgery, IV sedation and a ton of cheesy dental humor.
Dr. Cochran and his wife, Ellie, moved to Colorado Springs from Denver, CO, in 2019 where they fell in love with the mountain life. During the pandemic quarantine, the Cochrans welcomed Carter Rae Cochran, their sweet daughter of nearly a year. Dr. Cochrans interests in the Colorado outdoors such as of skiing, camping, fly-fishing, can be seen on full display in his office.

I would highly recommend Dental Specialalists of Southern Colorado for any specialized work. Everyone on staff are friendly, and put you at ease before the procedure. And Dr. Reece Cochran, is very nice , patient with answering all my questions. His staff even took the extra time to see how I was doing the next day!

I also strongly recommend Dr. Cochran's practice for dental surgery, etc. My dental implant surgery was perfectly done, and their instructions were spot on so there was very little experienced pain and no complications. I was impressed by their professionalism and courtesy too.

I recently had 2 teeth extracted, bone grafting and implants, with Dr. Reece Cochran. All staff was highly professional and extremely informative. I had an implant procedure back in December and I could not ask for a better experience. I get very anxious when it comes to dental work, and Dr. Cochran and his staff were so professional and caring. They really took the time to make sure I was comfortable and relaxed during the procedure. The follow up care that I received was exceptional, and I healed nicely. Love this place. Dr. Cochran is doing a great job with my implant. I really feel like I am in good hands. He is so knowledgeable and uses the latest techniques.
