My appointment was because of a loose crown. Dr. Max and the technician were gentle even though removing it was difficult Dr. Max was always positive making my visit a good one opposed to a bad one, which I have never had at Dental solutions of media. I'm a forever patient here.

Removal of wisdom teeth was done with anesthetic, and was efficient and relatively pain-free. The surgeon did a great job! But two days later, I appear to have two prescriptions waiting at the pharmacy, but was not informed about them - do I need them?

This is by far the absolute worst dental office I've ever been to, I wouldn't even recommend my enemies to go here, there's so much wrong with this place I'll have to sum everything up, the dental work is so poor the crowns don't stay on or in place for something as simple as flossing, the root canals are so weak that they turn into failed root canals, the fillings fall out, and if you confront them about the issues they don't want to refund you they will just try to get you to come back in and get botched repair, the front desk staff is more worried about what they're ordering for lunch and small talk with each other than their actual job, they schedule appointments and have you take a day off work just to show up and be told the appointment wasn't scheduled completely

I came in for a visit, it was deemed that I needed root canals. Fine. Imagine my shock when I got notification from my dental insurance that they paid the claim--yet, I hadn't even been in for the treatment. Absolutely, did not appreciate my insurance being charged before the work was done. Never in my 50 years have I encountered this. .

I have been a patient of Dental Solutions for nearly 9 years. I have found there response to normal and emergency request to be handle expedioustly , with empathy, and a tremendous staff to be outstanding. I am happy I found Dr. Mitchell Blumenthal, the founder and he is expert in the conditions that I have been treated for; root canals, crowns, bridges, implants you name he and his staff have the tools to deal with most any situation. A full service Dental Practice with several locations. I haven't been outsourced to a specialist in over 9 years. They know my teeth.

I was apprehensive about switching my children to an adult dentist or sticking with a pediatric one. Jody the hygienist is wonderful. She's patient & engaging to my boys, 9 & 7. The entire staff was welcoming & professional! Highly recommend!!

I was a patient at Dental Solutions in Media from 2014-2017. In 2015, Dr. Gilkey recommended that I should get two crowns and a night guard. I decided to proceed with his recommendations and went ahead with both crowns and a night guard. I asked Dr. Gilkey what type of guarantee Dental Solutions offers and he told me the crowns and night guard come with a ten year guarantee. He said, if they break or I have issues within that time frame, they would be replaced at no charge. We both decided on zirconium crowns after discussing the options. I paid around $1,000 for the two zirconium crowns and my dental insurance picked up the remaining balance. A few months went by and the crowns broke. It was then discovered that I wasn't given the higher quality and more expensive zirconium crowns, but lesser quality crowns. This is why they broke, is what I was told. I was shocked because I paid for the higher quality zirconium crowns. If my crowns didn't break, I would have never known any different. Yet, I paid and my dental insurance company paid for zirconium crowns. Dr. Gilkey replaced the broken crowns with zirconium crowns. I was so furious at what Dr. Gilkey did, that I switched to another dentist within the same practice for my future check ups and cleanings. At my first visit, after looking over my x-rays and file, Dr. Appleman couldn't understand why I was given crowns at all. He told me in his professional opinion, I didn't need crowns. I was so upset hearing this because it wasn't fun having these crowns put in and everything I had to go through, in addition to spending around $1,000 for them. I now go to an entirely different dental practice. My current dentist recommended that I should have my night guard replaced because it has a few small holes in it and significant wear. Her exact words were that she didn't want this night guard shattering in my mouth. The quote I was given for a new night guard was $475. I decided to hold off, as I remembered the ten-year guarantee I was told my night guard came with. I contacted Dental Solutions, as I am seven years into my ten-year guarantee. I was told that I needed to come in with the night guard and have Dr. Gilkey look at it. I made the appointment. When I was in the chair, I was asked why I was here today by a dental assistant. I explained to her that I was told by my new dentist that my night guard needs to be replaced and the reasons why. I then asked where Dr. Gilkey was and she told me he wasn't in the office today. The office manager Cori then came back to talk with me. After I explained to her why I was there, I asked why Dr. Gilkey wasn't here, as I have an appointment with him to look at my night guard. She had no idea and told me he left for the day. She then proceeded to tell me that I must have misunderstood what I was told and the practice has never offered a ten-year guarantee on night guards or crowns. She said that usually insurance will pay for night guards every five to ten years. I told her I didn't misunderstand because I even had a written note about the guarantee. I then asked to speak with whoever was over Dr. Gilkey and I was told that is Dr. Eden Blumenthal. She also left for the day is what I was told. I asked for Dr. Blumenthal to call me and was told by Cori that she would. It is now nine days later and I still have not heard from Dr. Blumenthal. I have followed up twice with Cori, who told me that she gave her the message. I wrote this review because Dental Solutions and Dr. Gilkey specifically do not stand by their word. Dr. Gilkey won't even meet with me to discuss this matter. That speaks volumes. I live one hour from their office and Dr. Gilkey thought nothing of wasting my time. I strongly encourage you to avoid this dental practice because in my experience they are only after your money and don't stand behind their word. This has been my experience with this practice. You can draw your own conclusions.

I will be looking for a new dentist. Front desk staff are not competent. Office cancelled my appointment. I then rescheduled and arranged my vacation around this appointment, to walk in and not even be on the schedule. Plus dentist checks your teeth before you even have a cleaning?? Time to move on...

I had about a dozen broken teeth removed in preparation for dentures. On the morning after, I honestly report no pain, no swelling, very minor discomfort. Doctor and staff were all congenial and listened to my concerns. SO much better than my previous experiences at other practices.
