Dr. Sambursky started on his path to becoming a renowned Prosthodontist (specialist in dentistry) in 1982 when he entered Syracuse University. There he majored in microbiology and immunology before earning his Bachelors in Biology. After gaining his Bachelors degree, Dr. Sambursky went on to the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. Dr. Sambursky has also completed the 6-week Externship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University, during his dental school studies and graduated in 1990. The work inspired Dr. Sambursky to seek additional training in Aesthetic dentistry (also known commonly as cosmetic dentistry).

Dr. Sambursky is currently a clinical professor at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health. It is here where he mentored Prosthodontic residents for 17 years.
Dr. Zietsman is originally from South Africa and immigrated to Westchester County where he completed a bachelors degree in Biology at Purchase College before entering dental school. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stony Brook Universitys School of Dental Medicine on Long Island, N.Y. and he subsequently completed a three-year advanced specialty education in Prosthodontics at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health in Rochester, N.Y. Dr. Zietsmans research includes the application and integration of digital technology to optimize results for complex dental treatments.

Dr. Zietsmans research includes the application and integration of digital technology to optimize results for complex dental treatments. He has presented on aspects of digital dentistry at various national and international meetings, including the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Prosthodontic Society, the International Association for Dental Research, and the European Association for Osseointegration. He has also lectured to the Broome County Dental Society and the Sixth District Dental Society.
After finishing his Prosthodontic training, Dr. Zietsman worked in a private practice as a Prosthodontist for 1.5 years. He and his wife decided that the Binghamton area was a perfect place to raise their family, so he accepted a position with his friend and mentor Dr. Ronald Sambursky at Dental Solutions of Binghamton in 2018.
Dr. Sostowski, a native of the Triple Cities has been practicing dentistry in Vestal, NY since 1982. My family and I have been under Dr. Sambursky's care for over 20 years, and now also treated by Dr. Zietsman. They and their entire staff are outstanding in all aspects! As a surgeon, I am very aware of precision and hygiene. This office will not tolerate anything less. At work, I look in mouths routinely, and the dental intervention by this office stands out among the rest. I routinely endorse this office, and have referred numerous friends and patients. Excellent!

I learned of the Dental Solutions of Binghamton from a TV commercial. I was so embarrassed that my teeth had become crooked that I no longer smiled. I no longer made eye contact with others. I lost my confidence, I lost "me". I was losing hope and knew that both my family and I deserved better. I feel so blessed that Dr. Sambursky, Dr. Zietsman, and their very skilled staff were able to help me. The Hybridge is a very extensive procedure that is hard to comprehend all you will experience until you are going through it. The amazing thing about Dr. Sambursky, Dr. Zietsman and their staff, is that they are with you every step of the way. They understand that this process is much more than dental work. They help you through the emotional aspects of this journey, sometimes before you even realize you need the support and comfort. My journey started just 4 months ago. I now have my new permanent teeth, can eat anything I want, and am learning how to smile again. I could not be happier or feel more blessed. I would encourage anyone who understands the health or social issues related to crooked or missing teeth to consider having the Hybridge with Dr. Sambursky, Dr. Zietsman.

Dr. Sambursky and Dr. Zietsman are incredibly caring, patient, and compassionate. I have a resistance to lidocaine as well as metabolize anesthetics quickly, and I have crippling anxiety surrounding dentists & having dental work done - I have to take anti-anxiety meds just to get in the car to go get my teeth cleaned. I've hyperventilated & had breakdowns more than once in their chairs. These guys go above and beyond to ensure my comfort, they acknowledge and work with my body's refusal to accept anesthetics like a normal person's (most docs scoff at me and end up causing a lot of pain & trauma), and they don't make me feel bad for being anxious. Both doctors are fantastic medical professionals as well as absolutely wonderful human beings, and the entire staff is courteous, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. There isn't a rating high enough to accurately review this place and the people who work there.

I had a full month procedure. It was very difficult to do and the recovery takes months. Now they finally feel a part of me. No longer a foreign object in my month. Dental Solutions did a great job with color as they look natural. Very Pleased.

This office staff is wonderful! Everyone is so friendly and they put you right at ease. Dr. Sambursky and Dr. Zietsman are amazing! So kind, gentle and have a sense of humor. If you are afraid of the dentist, try this group by scheduling a consult with them. You'll feel right at home from the beginning. Non judgmental and they will answer all of your questions. No pressure. I can honestly say I made the right choice and have never been so happy. Got my smile back and can eat anything....even candy apples! Best part of the hybridge procedure was that I had very, very, little discomfort after surgery. Don't be afraid to invest in yourself. You are worth it. It was the right decision for me and I highly recommend!

I was referred to Dr. Sambursky's office after a nightmarish experience with a local dentist here in ithaca. Dr. Sambursky not only fixed the disastrous front tooth implant by my previous dentist, he was able to give me back my smile and restore my trust in dentists. Dr. Sambursky's work was thorough, transparent, and exemplary even during a pandemic. He and the staff are highly professional. I strongly recommend!

Me and my mom decided to go through the process of full upper and lower implants together. From the very start of our journey the staff, doctors and nurses always made us feel like we were their only priority. They were always there to address any issue or concern no matter how crazy things were. We went through this during the pandemic so there was the added restrictions. The decision to do this was not an easy one to make but now that it's done we can't imagine not doing it. Our smile and health are so much better. Highly recommend making the leap to implants and ditch the removable dentures .

All my life I've had problems with my teeth. Fillings, caps, bridges, bridges that broke taking my real teeth with them. Unaware of the full spectrum of dental options, I continued to mend each issue individually until my mouth was a patchwork of numerous repairs. One day I came across a commercial for Dr. Sambursky and the Hybridge dental implants his practice offers. I called for an appointment the following day, and despite the national pandemic, scheduled my new patient office visit. The initial exam was very thorough, as was my second appointment for consultation and to discuss my options. Dr. Sambursky took time to explain what was causing my dental issues and to go over the options available. He discussed the pros and cons of implants vs dentures at length including functional, cosmetic and cost related concerns. He and his fantastic staff took the time to answer all my questions. I decided on a complete set of Hybridge implants. The process would be lengthy. There would numerous molds made of my current teeth. I would undergo multiple surgical procedures not only to remove my existing teeth but to implant the posts that the Hybridge teeth connect to. There would be weeks of healing in between procedures. I was so impressed with how Dr. Sambursky and his team prepare you for every step of the process. From implementing a daily vitamin regimen and dietary suggestions to post-operative care and instructions. I knew what to expect and how to care for my healing mouth every step of the way. I learned that much of the timeline for progressing forward revolves around healing and that we can enhance our body's capability to heal by making healthy decisions. If ever I had a question or something didn't feel quite right with one phone call the office staff would fit me in right away to ensure I was progressing properly. My permanent bottom teeth were implanted first and they looked great! It takes much longer for the upper jaw to heal and after seeing the permanent bottom teeth I couldn't wait for the permanent top teeth to be implanted. In fact, since you have a denture for your teeth throughout the process I began to forget what my "real" teeth used to look like. When I arrived for my final appointment to have my permanent upper teeth implanted I was filled with excitement. If I am being honest I was also a little nervous. What would they look like, would I still look like me, would I like how they look after all this hard work, time and healing? Once the teeth were in and adjusted just right I was handed a mirror. Seeing my new teeth brought me to tears. "Oh my god, I can't believe it! They are beautiful! They look just like my teeth." What I meant was they looked just like my original young, perfect, white, healthy teeth. I could not stop smiling! I still can't stop smiling! My new complete mouth of Hybridge teeth are simply beautiful. Dr. Sambursky and Dr. Zietsman are true artists. I am a tough critic and a perfectionist and all I could say with tears in my eyes was THANK YOU! I only wish I made this decision sooner. I could not be happier! Sincerely, Pam Reis

I needed a second opinion on replacing a broken tooth with a shattered root, so I found Dr. Mike on the website and got a recommendation from him for a new bridge so I became a new patient and quickly became at ease with the very pleasant dentist and professional staff who were very helpful as well. So we went ahead with the work on a new 4-tooth bridge which came out beautifully, fit perfectly and restored my smile amazingly. I actually enjoyed everyone's company while going through the process and was treated with a gentle touch and more than once very reassuringly. Such dedicated people work there! This was very unusual but another tooth split vertically a few weeks after completion of the first bridge and Dr. Sostowski recommended another new bridge, this time only three teeth. The tooth that needed to be extracted he did straight away since he is also a dental surgeon with the excellence I had learned to expect, and then began right away removing the old bridge and creating a new three tooth bridge which was completed and permanently placed into my mouth just over a week ago the whole procedure went really efficiently, smoothly. My teeth look and feel great now and I'm so glad I chose this very well respected dental practice and talented dentist and oral surgeon to take on this sensitive dental rehab work for me and feel so satisfied with the results since my teeth and smile are restored better and more solid than ever before. My smile has always had stage fright. Never much for camera's or showing off in public .The cause was unavoidable, tetracycline as a child. Result was irreversible discoloration of my adult teeth, sort of a dull grey. Now they are perfectly shaped, straight, and best of all WHITE! My smile and I have recently been reacquainted, especially since my smile has been behind a mask for over a year. Its great to NOT have to cover my mouth when I laugh! I've actually been asked to "Show it"! What a nice side effect, my smile creates others.! Thank you is an understatement to the staff at Dental Solutions of Binghamton ! Dr. Sambursky and team have made things right. My experience was as pleasant as one can have at the dentist. From the entire office staff, to all the technicians , even the other Dr.s manage a smile and hello, always stopping to talk and joke. The term caring professionals is well applied here.
