Dr. Kourtsounis or Dr. K is a pediatric dentist originally from Long Island. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1998. After graduation, he returned to Maryland where his family had moved and was accepted into the top ranked University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2003.
In 2006, Dr. Kourtsounis was accepted into the pediatric dentistry specialty at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He served as chief resident and helped author various publications, which appeared in local and nationwide dental journals.
Dr. Kourtsounis has continued to stay on at Mount Sinai as an attending faculty and has dedicated his free time to teaching at the residency and performing dental rehabilitation cases in the operating room under general anesthesia.
Dr. Kourtsounis and his wife have a six-year-old son who is also very interested in becoming a dentist like his dad. He is a diehard Chicago Blackhawks and NHL fan, and a car enthusiast who enjoys racing his car on the weekends

Unable to make an appointment...what is going on? Called them to make an appointment, and was asked for my child's information. Great, this was expected obviously but what was not expected was that after providing that info, I was told someone would call me to schedule an appointment. That was strange considering the whole reason Im making this initial phone call is to set an appointment..why can't the person taking the info also set the appointment time? Of course, no one ever called me! Unprofessional unorganized unwilling to bother!

This is my son's first dental checkup and went very well! The moment we step foot on the door. We were welcomed by their staff and my son loved the place it was every kid's dream to be in such a warm and friendly place. They have a holding area that every child would enjoy while waiting. Everything is clean and very organized. Very professional in how deal with their patients. My kid loved the experience and they also gave him a complimentary cupcake since it's almost Halloween. Overall it's 10 stars for me.

HORRIBLE! I called to make an appointment and had to leave all my information for them to call me back to schedule an appointment...im confused..isnt that the whole point of me calling in the first place?? 3 weeks have gone by and no one ever got back to me...would definitely not recommend..horribly managed.

I Was Looking For A Great Dental Place For My Son, I Was Searching Everywhere And Could Not Find A Dental Place That Would Be A Great Fit For My Son. Then God Told Me To Look Closer And I Found DENTAL SMILES FOR KIDS And I Called . And After That My Son Have Been With Them For 3 Years Know Ever Since. P.S. The Doctors And The Assistants Are Great With Children Im Proud That I Made That Call

As a parent you are always looking out to take your kids to the best place of care especially when it comes to dental care. I only have wonderful things to say. Best place to take your kids, very clean, every room has their own x-ray. The doctors are very patiently, kind, respectful for every child's needs. Highly recommend this place.

I brought my daughters here for their very first dental experience! The dental hygienist was phenomenal, the dentist was awesome and the woman in billing was lovely. HOWEVER, the Receptionist wasn't very friendly. Put a smile on your face....It goes a long way! We will continue to use this office!

Clean office and good service overall except for the fact that they didn't notify me of my son's upcoming appointment because when I made the appointment they didn't add my cell number under his name which is a different last name from my daughter's, so, I only received a reminder/confirmation for my daughter. In part my fault for not calling them to double check on my son's appointment date but, in part their fault for not adding my cell number under EACH child.

The staff and Dentists are amazing. My daughter loves to go in and visit. She let's them do whatever they need to do, due to how nice they are to her. She trusts them and so do I. The front desk girl that signs you in was amazing. She even called us an Uber when we locked ourselves out of the car. What customer service. Great place to go.

My 3yr old and my 14yr had an appointment today and it was awesome. It was the first time for my 3yr old. The assistant and the doctor were super amazing, they kept my little man calm and relaxed. He didn't even flinched. Plus having the TV in the room helps alot.

Place itself is great. Getting in touch with someone, ridiculous. I've been calling for MONTHS, left numerous messages and still nothing. How am I supposed to make appointments when no one answers the phone??

The Doctors are excellent, but at the reception there is a person who is not pleasant at all, I do not like the way he addresses parents, it seems like he does not like his job, he is not friendly at all, he is in the office of North Babylon.
