Two oral health care professionals your dentist and the dental hygienist will likely see you. The hygienist will conduct an initial oral exam of your gums and teeth, document any changes in your overall health and medicine use, clean and polish your teeth, talk to you about caring for your teeth and gums, and answer any questions you might have about home care products. Your dentist will also conduct an oral exam of your mouth (for signs of oral cancer or other diseases), gums, and teeth; ask about changes in your overall health or medicine use; review the cleaning done by the hygienist; diagnose any oral health problems; and make treatment recommendations.

Although home-based tooth brushing and flossing help remove plaque, only a professional cleaning provided by your dentist or dental hygienist can thoroughly clean your teeth and remove the hardened plaque (called calculus or tartar) that builds up on teeth. Most hygienists use a series of metal hand instruments to clean your teeth. Some are using ultrasonic scalers, which provide deep cleaning above and below the gum line.

After your teeth have been cleaned, they are polished to remove plaque and stains on the tooth surface. The polish contains an abrasive substance and fluoride, and is applied using a small rotating rubber cup or brush attached to the dental hand piece.

Your hygienist might offer additional instructions for you to follow at home, based on the results of your exam. Dont hesitate to ask your hygienist for instructions about brushing or flossing, or general care questions about your teeth and gums.

X-rays might or might not be taken during your check up. Your dentist will consider your clinical examination, dental history, and risk for developing cavities in determining the frequency for X-rays.

If any oral health problems are identified during your examination, your dentist will make recommendations for the best next steps. These might include referral to another oral health care specialist, additional diagnostic tests, or advice to return for restoration work or additional oral health care.

Stay away from this place ! The worst customer service i have ever received. The manager Katie is very rude and has no respect for her patients! I came here for my braces in 2019 and it is currently 2022 and my teeth are not straight at all. The absolute worst dentist I have ever been to. If i could rate this place a 0 i would ! Once again stay away, and don't let the false advertising on the radio lure you in.

It was horrible experience and the young staff had no idea what they were doing one girl with no experience was rasing up prices and lowering it down couldn't make up her mind they didn't even try to help like they advertise they try to take advantage of my wife they need to be shut down that place.

Horrible customer service. I am a Cash Pay Patient, not Medicaid or Insurance. I transferred to Austin location 2020 from the San Antonio location and there smoothly finish my ortho treatment 9/25/21 with no 3 cleanings needed as the SA office stated. The Austin location failed to provide the second retainer that I purchased on 9/25/21. Now I am still awaiting now going on 6months for a $681 refund for services not rendered and retainer not provided. It took 6 months just to get my records. Robert the Austin Manager has been sending emails to Corporate office but no avail. 2019-2020 Katie the manager at San Antonio forces patients to purchase cleanings or services not required to make profit for office. I have my family dentist for cleaning and I went to them for ortho and she's ordered the dental assistant not put the wires and rubber bands back on my braces until I purchased the with them. She as the manager was about to have me walk out with just the brackets. Also I was there in the office for 30 mins waiting for any help and once assisted to room, there was NO Doctor in the facility. The Doctor had left for the day and it was 9am. The dental assistant quit as well due to the abuse and being force to fraudulently ask patients to pay for services not needed. The call center in Dallas always says the manager (s) are with patients but really DO NOT WANT TO TREAT THE PATIENT WITH RESPECT JUST LIES. Now I have filed complaints with the BBB & Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. DO NOT GO TO ANY OF THERE CLINICS!!!

Don't waste your time here. I payed for my procedure and they never scheduled me an appointment its been 6 month now I'm having a hard time trying to get my money back now I'm going to file a lawsuit against them for stealing money

Been going for a year and 4 months the manager is totally Rude has made several mistakes charging I was more then I was supposed to pay they're not calling me and telling me that my debit card had not been approved but only due to someone Hacking my account then when our appointment came I would three months at a time which left me in a predicament where I was totally upset had they called me I would've gotten the issue resolved immediately this is been several times this happened I am very very dissatisfied With the office staff I will never ever recommend anybody to this dentist I must say that today they had two different people behind the front desk very cordial very professional and they should be all the time not just when she can't make it you need to fire that manager

I was actually asked by a staff member there to please leave a good review even though she knew how bad my experience has been... Ive been with them for over a year now, ive barely recieved any treatments with the invisilalign so ive switched back to metal braces so i can speed up the process but they still fail to contact me for appointment dates, they cant leave a simple voice-mail or send a message and they're always SO busy whenever i try to call them while I'm at work... I once asked if i could brush my teeth real quick as a courtesy because i had a quick meal after work and the Doctor said "No, im in a hurry"... A year later and my teeth are exactly the same KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS

This dental place is very unprofessional and non caring. My elderly mother n law was treated poorly at this dental office. It was not made clear to her they were going to charge her $500 for a tooth extraction. They begin to render services to her without making that clear to her. The dentist did not deadend her enough and she was in so much pain. The dentist did not even take out her the whole tooth he left the root in. My mother n law face is swollen and may need to take a trip to the Er. The ladies at the front desk couldnt even give her a wet paper towel to wipe the blood on off her face.All they cared about was money.Please dont send your elderly loves one here. Find a real dental office to go to, who cares about the elderly.

My grandmother just went and she was told that insurance covers them extracting her teeth. But they did not let her know that until the she was done getting her teeth pulled. That's a conversation that should have happened before her teeth were pulled. Don't go there thinking that insurance covers extraction from them. There liars. This was abuse of the elderly. All there fault. Well well well, I'm here now editing my review. We just looked into my grandmother mouth seeing where the extraction was taken place, and come to our surprise the tooth was broken. Half of the tooth was broken and taken off and called one and done. And I am also gonna add that they treated my grandma like a dog. She asked for a towel to wipe off blood from her face and her neck and the woman had a little attitude with her . This place need to shut down. I am gonna try to add a picture of her mouth and the tooth is still in!

I applied for a dental assistant position and when given an interview I was not able to choose a time and date. I wasn't given the option to respond to the person that scheduled my interview they just provided an address for the clinic. One I arrived they said I would be interviewed and once we did a brief interview they said someone would be in contact with me via email. I received an email that same day for a zoom meeting. The day of the meeting I joined on time and HR which was the interviewer NEVER joined the meeting. Again, I never was given a name of the dental clinic or phone number to contact anyone or email. I then had to google the address to find the phone number and I called them to ask about my interview they stated that the person interviewing was busy and in a meeting and took my information down and the person who answered stated that I would receive a call back for my interview. Hours passed and I still did not receive a phone call so I ended up calling again and the same woman answered and stated that the person interviewing had been busy interviewing people all day but that I should not worry and that I would receive a phone call before the end of the day which was 6 pm. I did not receive a phone call at all. I feel these people are very unorganized and unethical, unprofessional and dishonest. Who wastes people's time like that??? Not even given an option to choose when you're available to interview they chose a time for me twice. I actually have another Job which had to ask for time off just to interview with this company. It is extremely upsetting and feel like my time was wasted in a way and I'm glad I didn't get to work here by the way they handle their interviews I'm sure it's not so great to work at this dental clinic it just seems like HR is very unprofessional and unethical like I mentioned.

I just had an appointment for braces treatment 'bout two weeks ago and couldn't be more grateful for the dental service as much as the staff attention they provided me with. I'm still excited 'bout the final resolution for my teeth to be straighten up.
