Dr. Hayder Kafaji attended Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. While in dental school, he received multiple scholarships, was recognized as a top clinical student, and received the James W. Huckelburry Scholarship for leadership.
Dr. Hayder is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, West Coast District Dental Association, and International Dental Implant Association. He is committed to advanced training and has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education in dental implants and cosmetic dentistry.
While attending dental school, Dr. Hayder met his wife Sura in 2007.She is a practicing dentist in the Tampa area, and they enjoy traveling and spending time with their children. Dr. Hayder also loves bike riding on trails and spending time at the beach with his family.
Alexis started in the dental field in 2021 after attending the Academy for Dental Assisting and joined Mint Dental Care shortly after. As a dental assistant, she enjoys working closely with Dr. Hayder, taking x-rays, performing fluoride applications, setting up rooms, and handling sterilization.
Marjolie attended Houston Community College for her dental assistant training and joined Mint Dental Care in 2022. Her duties include helping every patient feel welcome, educating them on their oral health, taking x-rays, and performing other duties as needed.
Denise joined Mint Dental Care in 2022 and is a graduate of Broward College. Her main role is putting together treatment plans and presenting them to the patient. She also works with financing, verifies insurance and submits claims, answers patients questions, and ensures that they leave us with a smile.

I had a dental emergency and they saw me right away. The Dr. and assistant were both amazing and made me feel so much better about my dental issues. Definitely recommend!

Dr Hayder is amazing and his staff is amazing, especially Alexis..If you get a little nervous about going to the dentist like I do trust me Dr Hayder is your man..One stop shop he can do everything if I could give him 20 stars I would..Ted

I do not know where to begin with Dr. Hayder, I have not been to dentist in almost seven years. He is amazing and actually cares about his patients. The staff is AH-MAZING as well! I went to Aspen Dental in Wesley Chapel first before seeing Dr. Hayder. I left with a bill of $2200 for a root cancel, deep cleaning, and fillings Aspen could not start on me till they had full payment! Mind you this was with insurance! There was no way I could afford that! I called Mint Dental and spoke with Heidi and told her what was going on she asked me to come and bring my paper work so she could look over it and see what she could do.. I brought in my paper work with what had to be done, she made me appointment to see Dr. Hayder the following Tuesday. I went in and was seen right away.. Dr. Hayder explain everything to me and even worked with my insurance.. Granted I did need a deep clean, root canal, crown, and 3 fillings he said we would work on it in steps. I did my cleaning which was a peace of cake, but I was worried about the root canal since I never had one. On 10/5/2022 I have my root canal my anxiety was through the rood and I ended up crying in the chair, Dr Hayder not only explained everything to me but he also calmed my nerves, he made sure I was okay every step of the way! Thank you Dr. Hayder and staff for helping me get through my dental anxiety and actually caring! I recommend Mint Dental Care 100x over! I got back in Jan for a cleaning and fillings!

Had an amazing experience from start to finish. Nice waiting area with a mini fridge stocked with beverages. Front desk was very friendly and helpful when filling out paperwork. The person taking my X-rays was very kind and really hustled to make sure I wasn't sitting there with uncomfortable gear in my mouth for long. Before anything else, the dentist did a quick evaluation. Their team then got me an estimate, which is much appreciated when uninsured. Doris the hygienist then took over. She is amazing. I hadn't been for a cleaning in a couple years but I did not feel judged. She was very efficient and explained every step. My cleaning felt very personalized, as she paid close attention to my personal situation like bleeding and trouble areas for plaque buildup. She was also observant of my body language (essential, since we can't talk) and noticed when something was sensitive. So sweet and friendly too! After my cleaning, I had to run because I had another appointment. They were very understanding and got me out lickity-split with another appointment in the books.

Mint Dental Care is a very modern and minimalism office, with state of the art equipment. Dr Hayder has a gentle hand and he's also very knowledgeable. I'm a nervous reck when it comes to dental issues. I needed a root canal and a crown. The atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff put me at ease immediately. Dr Hayder did the treatment extremely quick and I didn't experiment any pain. I'm very grateful for the awesome team the Doctor has established. A special shout out to Alexis the Dental Assitant, and Doris the hygienist. Great job you all!

My name is Barbara and I had a filling fall out. Becuase I hate going to the dentist so much I waited. I called Mint they got me in same day. The best service I ever got from a dentist besides my childhood dentist who as amazing. I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep and caught myself snoring. I have found my dentist for life. What a great and thorough Dentist Dr. Hader is! He and his team all did a spectacular job. They are all friendly and accommodating. I was able to get several things done in the same visit which saved me time and a trip considering I live in St. Pete. I'm actually looking forward to my next appt so I can start my teeth whitening!

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Hayder and his staff. I was very anxious about the appointment, having not been to the dentist in years, but Dr. Hayder and the staff were very helpful and kind and were always available to help. I usually don't write reviews but these guys deserve it. I honestly hated the dentist and purposely didn't go for years. Denise, Michelle, Alexis and Dr.Hayder has completely changed my mind about going to the dentist. Shoutout to you guys. Clean environment, friendly staff and they even worked with me on pricing. 100% recommend!!

Clean place and professional staff. Dr. Hayder is very honest and to the point with his patients. He does very good job explaining treatment plans with patients and giving options that best suit everyone's situation. I highly recommend this clinic.
