I made an appointment with Dental One Associates of College Park in Georgia on August 3, 2022. I had been there the year previously to have some work dental done, and felt comfortable with my dentist. Anyways, I had just a couple of things done that day including X-rays and one other minor thing. After receiving my treatment plan, I was told to see the billing department and then check out. I was then charged over $220 for the services I received that day and told that I would have to pay this amount before leaving the office. The charged my credit card for the amount and sent me on my way. I have dental insurance so I was confused as to what exactly I had just paid for that wasn't covered by my insurance. Anyways, I contact my dental insurance within a week of my appointment with my questions and at that point I am informed that my insurance benefits did cover my nearly all of my bill and that the dentist office overcharged me. They basically were paid twice, once by me and again by my insurance. My insurance provider told me they would call the dentist office and request a refund for overpayment on my behalf. After the dentist office not responding to them that day, I called them the following day. I requested a refund for the amount that I was overcharged, and at that point I was told that it would have to go through the corporate office. I was told to expect my refund check in the mail in 4-6 weeks. It is now October 26th and I have still not received my refund. This company is OVERCHARGING, DECEIVING, and LYING to its patients. My elderly mother has also had major problems with Dental One double billing her as well. I want MY money back IMMEDIATELY!!!

Horrible customer service, dirty and they do not care about their patients -20/10 stars if I could. Staff was very rude and unfriendly. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!

I have been a patient for over 15 years. Customer Service has gone down, we're now waiting over an hour for Service, communication with the patient is getting slim to none. Forget about timeliness!

I am basing this review solely on the staff that is running the front office. I've been going to this office for at least 10 years. My dentist, Dr McMillan and her hygienist, Ms Nicole are by far the best all around. Always welcoming, always have the patient's best interest at heart. Have always made me feel very comfortable every time I go. This is the reason why I've stayed with this office for so long. But due to Covid, it's been a while since my last visit. And The front desk people are not the same as when I was last there. As soon as I entered the doors on 6/15/2022, the whole vibe was off. No one acknowledged me when I walked in. Not one HELLO from anyone. Some looked up some didn't. The ones that did look up, they all just stared at me as if I was in the wrong place. Tiffany was by far the most rudest person I'd ever seen before. Her exact words to me was "YOU NEED TO COME UP HERE AND FILL OUT SOME PAPERS" this is just a few minutes after I signed in and had a seat. She asked for my ID.. I placed them on the counter. She retrieved them.. made copies of them... placed them back on the counter and walked off. When she turned around and I was still standing where she left me standing her words to me was YOU THOO...I asked for the office manager because at this point they need to know how she's conducting herself as the very first patient contact at this business. I spoke with the office manager. ( Addie) She said that she would meet with them. If my interaction with Tiffany had to be the determining factor in whether or not I came back to this office, I promise I would NEVER go back. Tiffany definitely needs to be retrained on her customer service skills. As a matter of fact the whole entire front office staff needs to have a professional session on how to run a front office. Again, this review is based solely on the horrible experience I had with the front office staff... not the dentist and financial staff at all. That part has not changed over the years. They are still the delightful people that I'm used to dealing with at the facility.

If you are a new patient, don't make an appointment. Your time would be better spent finding a dentist that wants new patients. I made appointments for me and my family over a month ago. My appointments would have been tomorrow. I received a phone call yesterday that the doctor decided that she only wants to take new patients at 8:30 in the morning, and since my appointments that were made a month ago are for 9:00 am I have to be rescheduled. It doesn't matter that I waited a month already, the next available appointment is three months from now in December. I went ahead and cancelled them. I could use that time to find a dentist who actually wants new patients. I could have been doing that this entire month.

I have Humana insurance. I went there for the first time with my wife and they tried to tell me that I needed something more than what I actually did. In other words they told me I needed a deep cleaning that I had bone loss and my insurance wouldn't cover it. My insurance covers two regular cleanings free per year. I already know that I didn't have bone loss because I didn't tell them I had went to two other dentists in the last year and I knew everything that I was already wrong with my teeth which is not that much. Anyway, within one week I got a letter from them which is attached to below basically telling me not to come back to their office because we didn't agree and I wasn't going to let them get me out of $600 for something I didn't need (the deep cleaning) now my wife on the other hand they were pretty accurate because we go to the dentist together and the same thing they told her the other dentist said but me"my situation was totally different" and I already knew that my teeth were in pretty good condition besides a cavity that needs to be taken care of. The doctor herself was very kind and I'm sorry I have to leave this review but it is her assistant who had an attitude when I tried to defend what I already knew I need it I just didn't tell her I had went to two dentists prior to me going there. I am a person that supports black people when they do good and black businesses but it's just some people that I just really don't appreciate and that assistant was one of them. I'm not going to say your name on here but you know your dead wrong

Very good dental services provided by the staff at Dental One Associates. Ms. Nicole does an awesome job with my periodontal maintenance and treatments at every visit. However, I am waiting to hear back from an issue I had with billing which I called them about. But overall I am very pleased with Dental One services.

Beware! Dental One Associates in College Park GA provided me with the WORST Dental Experience I ever had in my 63 years on this earth. THE WORST!!!!!! To begin, the billing coordinator, Annette, had me totally confuse about the Billing process. I was told pay this $331 or no treatment. I told her her that I have Medicare Insurance for Senior Citizens. Her reply - you have to pay the $331 or no treatment. A poor job of explaining the billing process. While calling my insurance provider to find out what is the process, several weeks go by. Then I told the dentist, McMillon, Mellissa, DDS, that I didn't wanted to go alone with treatment plan because it wanted to remove teeth that were not necessary to be remove. So, I had this infected tooth dangling in my mouth for a month from the first office visit. The treatment plan costing over $4,000 seem to be more important then my well-being. The treatment plan would of prolong the the time before extracting the infected tooth. With an attitude, she ask me - what do you want. I told her that I wanted this dangling tooth remove. I got my Dental Images, records and got the HELL on. I only wish that I have done my due diligence and looking up the reviews on this place before going because would have never gave them my business. It's 's one the most unprofessional Dental Facility I've experienced. A Dentist with an Attitude - I can't trust you in my mouth.

I really dislike leaving bad reviews but sometimes it's necessary in order for things to change. I was experiencing dental pain which is always the worst, so I called the office around 10AM. I was told I would receive a call back, hours went by I'm still in pain so I called a second time. I was on hold for about 10 mins and then was eventually hung up on. I didn't receive a call back until 4:52pm and the office closes at 5. I understand things get busy I really do, but when someone is in pain which could be a very serious situation I feel like the least you could do is be better when it comes to communication. That is all.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! They make you wait at least an hour after your appointment time before bringing you back and that's just to keep you here because rest assure you will be waiting another 2 hours before someone does your X-RAY and another while the doctor the doctor takes his lunch break. And not to mention I had an appointment in March and it got canceled without me be notified and then they didn't get me in until the end of June. So RUN!!!
