Before opening Dental Nook, Dr. James Cantua received his training at Creighton University and practiced dentistry in Nebraska. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He spends considerable time to learn and master new dental techniques- if he is not in the office helping patients he is likely at a training event preparing to bring you new procedures and treatment! He has received the International Congress of Oral Implantologists award for excellence in implants. He enjoys meeting new people and seeing friend of the practice everyday.
Dr. James is excited to be in Colorado Springs and to treat the many wonderful patients in the area. Recently arrived from the Midwest, he and his wife are happy to raise their family in such a beautiful, and hospitable community. They have 2 young children, so when the office closes in the evening, playtime at home begins! Life is sometimes crazy but very happy. It is the Cantuas hope to contribute to the community by providing compassionate care for all of our patients.
Dr. Castillo was born and raised in Tennessee. He did his undergraduate studies and Dental school in his home state as well. He has been practicing Dentistry in Colorado for the last 10 years and loves the beautiful front range mountains. His fiance is currently going to dental school in arizona! In his free time he likes to spend time with his dad and his chihuahua Taco. He loves to keep up with the newest research in restorative dentistry and treats his patients with lots of love an patience. He is always willing to chat about any subject, and loves to chat about cryptocurrencies and his new found interest in video games. Make sure to say hi when you stop in!

From my first phone call as a new patient to walking out of the office I received 5 star treatment! Hayley at the front desk has exceptional skills. Everyone from London (dental assistant) and my hygienist were warm and welcoming. And oh yes, the dentist was friendly and clearly explained my upcoming treatment in a very professional manner. Thank all of you for being the professionals that you are! Very impressed.

First bad impression:( the girls at the front desk are amazing very friendly and sweet , but we waited over 45 mins to be seen so I had to reschedule, another patient came in while we were waiting 40 mins and they seen him right away while we were still waiting .. maybe it's a insurance thing who ever has the best insurance goes first not good for business it's too bad they just lost a huge family .

Dental nook is the best. Safarmoh took care of me and so did everyone else. Convenient location and best service. Also they take Medicaid. I'm excited for my next cleaning.

Everyone was kind and friendly. Probably the best dentist experience I've had. I enjoyed wildlife videos while they cleaned my teeth which felt very appropriate somehow....also there was late 90's club music on as a well, which was strangely comforting. All in all? Great time.

Amazing staff, fantastic facility. They took me in last minute for wisdom tooth pain and helped take all 4 out in under an hour. Everyone was so kind and they sent me home with ice cream! Thanks team.

Dr. Castillo is very personable, takes time to get to know you. All of the staff are welcoming, want you to be comfortable and fully informed. Tricia (hygienist) was gentle, thorough, and provided excellent patient education. Looking forward to going back in the future.

Safarmoh was very knowledgeable and respectful. I loved her enthusiastic voice and the way she carried herself and the business. From the time I walked in I can tell that this would be a place where I would surely invite others. The place is clean and also has a very good staff. 10 out of 10 recommended.

I was blown away by the staff at the Dental Nook. Everyone I interacted with was extremely friendly, helpful, and obviously cared about their clients. Also, the cleaning and treatment options were done with care and they were very clear about options and pricing which is much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dental Nook to a friend.

The people at this dental office are fantastic! They are kind, friendly, and very thorough in caring for teeth. They took me on a tour of the office, where they have beautiful equipment. They were quite thorough checking my teeth and were great about letting me know exactly what was covered by my insurance. They also taught me about my teeth and took pictures to show me exactly what was going on inside my mouth. And they had my X-rays on a large screen in front of me so that I could see as well. Overall, a wonderful experience. Update: the office staff are very kind when rescheduling appointments as well. My little one got sick fairly last minute, and they got me rescheduled quickly! (They do have a 48 hour cancellation policy) Great office!
