Dr. Mazher Syed has been helping people to put their best smiles forward for the past 15 years. His dedication to patient care shines through in his thoroughness in dental work, and he hopes to encourage healthy smiles in all of his patients.
Dr. Mazher Syed earned his Bachelor of Dental Science degree from Rajiv Gandhi University in India before earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Additionally, he has continued to learn throughout his career and expand his knowledge on more specialized topics. Dr. Syed has trained with Nobel Biocare on All on Four implants, completed a two year program (USDI) for orthodontic training and a professional orthodontic seminar, pursued continuing education with AIC Education and Hiossen for oral surgery and implants, and attended a crown clinic and hands on course through the Institution of Dental Advancement. Additionally, Dr. Syed is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Illinois Dental Association (IDA), and Chicago Dental Society (CDS).
For the past 15 years, he has been an associate dentist at other dental offices, performing oral surgery, orthodontic treatment and general dental procedures. After working at other dental office locations, he decided it was time to open his own private practice in 2019. He speaks fluent Urdu and is known for using his sense of humor to help patients feel at ease in his office. He likes to say that his mission is to save the world one tooth at a time.

I would never recommend this place to anybody, my fiance had a tooth extraction and end up with a fountain non stop bleeding from her mouth. After 1 hour from the extraction procedure exactly the bleeding had occurred and never stopped I had to take her to the nearest ER and thank god they stop it. We don't have an insurance and when we asked for a refund they said we should have come to them first. Though they are half an hour driving far, and her bleeding doesn't stop.

Great dentist, I feel sad because they stopped taking my insurance. Friendly people, dr. Mahe wonderful , she's was patient with me during the treatment. I took my 2 wisdom teeth and cleaned the Cavities. I wish to them great successful in them life.

I had a teeth whitening treatment today and so glad I was referred to Dental Matters! Selene took her time to explain the process and prep my gum line. Which is extremely important. I felt very little to no sensitivity during the treatment. I was hesitant to pay $350.00 at first as my teeth were not that yellow to begin with. However, worth every penny as I now have the Colgate smile I always dreamed of. Thank you Selene!

Very good experience!!. I've had a number of terrible experiences with dental practices, and knew just what to expect from a good one. The front desk staff was very nice, as well as professional. They have all the latest technology, and do a thorough exam. The dentist was very nice, professional, and well informed. I'm so glad I found them.

Dr Syed was really Great. .he is very friendly and always likes to joke around to take the nervousness away. Been a patient of Dr Syed for awhile now and very satisfied with his work. The office staff was very nice n the office itself was very clean.

I've seen 2 hygienists and 1 doctor here - everyone has been very kind and professional. I especially appreciate the close attention both hygienists have given to my specific dental needs - they are knowledgeable and positive, and they both took time to listen to what I had to say and answer my questions. Lisa is the first dental hygienist I've ever seen who asked me whether I was comfortable with her using the electric scaler. Dr. Syed fixed a chipped front tooth for me last year and I can't even see where it was now. The reception staff are all very nice and easy to work with. The office is clean and has a calming, modern design. The only issues I've had are long turnarounds with my insurance and a lack of clarity about billing, but I'm pretty sure that's more a problem with my insurance. When I asked about it, the Dental Matters staff were able to explain it more clearly to me. Overall, a very positive experience.
