Dr. Bartolome grew up in the Greater Sacramento Area. She graduated Cum Laude from California State University, Sacramento. With honors, she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she was the Recipient of the Award for Excellence in Clinical and Patient Management.
Dr. Swearingen grew up in Northern California and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He completed a general practice residency program at Balboa Hospital in San Diego in 1976 and spent the next four years serving as a dentist in the Navy at Atsugi, Japan.
Dr. Bartolome completed courses with the California Center for Advanced Dental Studies. Dr. Swearingen completed courses at the Las Vegas Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry. Both Doctors have taken several other highly acclaimed training courses related to cosmetic dentistry in order to stay informed of the new developments in the cosmetic dental field. As a result, they have established themselves as a select group of dentists in Northern California able to provide state-of-the-art cosmetic dental procedures.
Dr. Bartolome and Dr. Swearingen are members of the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as well as the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, California Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society. Dr. Swearingen is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists. Our Doctors are certified in Invisalign, lumineers, and licensed to administer oral conscious sedation with the state of California.
Dr. Bartolome and Dr. Swearingen are extremely proud of their team and they feel that they are their greatest asset. Their staff consists of Lori, Registered Dental Hygienist; Laurie, Registered Dental Assistant Extended Functions II; Cheri, Registered Dental Assistant; Mika, Registered Dental Assistant; Naida, Scheduling/Insurance Coordinator. Laurie and Mika are Dr. Bartolome and Dr. Swearingen's clinical team. Just like our Doctors, our clinical team members are all licensed professionals with high standards of quality and integrity. Lori is a licensed dental hygienist who provides exceptional care for our patients. She prides herself in providing the highest quality of hygiene care, as well as communication and education to our patients.
In order to be an even better dentist, he followed that with an optional residency program at Balboa Hospital in San Diego. He then practiced family dentistry in the U.S. Navy for four years while stationed at Atsugi, Japan on a US Naval Air Base.
In 1980, he began his civilian career in Citrus Heights and has been practicing there ever since. Dr. Swearingen has developed a flourishing dental practice founded on providing dental care of the highest quality. He has always far exceeded all requirements for continuing education and in recent years has taken numerous courses at the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies. As a result, he has established himself as one of a select group of dentists in Northern California able to provide state-of-the-art cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Swearingen is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (1-800-543-9220) as well as a member of the Sacramento District Dental Society.
Dr. Swearingen resides with his wife, Robyn, in Granite Bay, California. They enjoy many activities together and are loyal Sacramento Kings fans. They especially enjoy their relationships with their children and grandchildren.

The aspects she enjoys most about dentistry are building trusting and meaningful relationships with patients, and the commitment it takes to improve a patient's oral health. Every person accepts and receives dental care differently. She understands this psychology and is very sympathetic to her patient's needs and concerns.
Dr. Bartolome's commitment to excellence and integrity in character stems from her family upbringing as well as from her martial arts background. She is a fourth degree black belt in taekwondo. She currently lives is Roseville and loves spending time with her husband, son, and little dog.

I have been going to this office since 1999. I even took my mother of 80 to this office. For someone who is a white-knuckle person, I am no longer. This whole office is caring and professional and I strongly recommend it

Since 1992 I've been a patient at this dental office. They've always been fantastic, professional and kind. From cleanings, to fillings, to whitening and even crowns, always great! I now drive back from SoCal just for my dental care. Can't recommend them more highly.

Spent 8k on my veneers and still aren't happy with them and Michelle did my crown which I still have problems with 3 years later. Super painful. Limited schedule. Wouldn't recommend. Do your research

Dr. Bartolome and her staff are warm and welcoming and at the same time professional. I had a dental emergency and Dr. Bartolommeo was gracious enough to fit me in to her very busy day; and this my was first time at this office! Her staff explained the procedure and offered options before beginning care. This is the best dental experience I've had and am very, very pleased with the outcome.

I personally want to thank Dr. Bartolome , Julie , Sherry Mary and staff for making my dream smile come true.. Between the end of October till now Dec. 7 I went to Dental Magic to get porcelain veneers .. I wanted to find away to fix my smile now not later .. full construction of my tops and bottoms... today my perms were put in for my tops and they're Perfect ...I'm am overwhelmed over the outcome I'm ecstatic.. next week we get started on my bottoms .. I have been going to Dr. Bartolome for over 3 years now, and have had extensive work done, including cosmetic treatment. Dr. B is extremely knowledgeable and explained all procedures and available options in detail, and really listened to my input and addressed all my concerns thoroughly and clearly. Both Dr. B and Julie are amazingly gentle and truly transformed my idea of going to the dentist into a pleasant and fun experience. Yes, I know, who would have thought that going to the dentist could be fun? I always leave Dental Magic with a smile, and now an even bigger smile with my new beautiful teeth!

I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Bartolome! She did an absolutely amazing job on my teeth. I am THAT patient. Like, I feel bad because I'm sure I was annoying to the umpteenth degree with how many times I came in and how many times I changed my mind on what I really wanted. She is soooo patient and so kind and funny, and to me most importantly, so skilled! I put off having my gap closed for decades. I am very VERY happy I had it done and had it done by her. It feels amazing to not be self conscious about my smile anymore. Thank you, Dr. Bartolome and staff!!

I highly recommend this dental office to anyone whose needs are either just basic dental care or if you need extensive cosmetic work. They treat you with respect and gentleness and are always friendly and cheerful. Dr. Bartolome is excellent at what she does as are her assistants. Your comfort and satisfaction are paramount. My days of loathing going to the dentist are long gone since I became a client with this group. I had all my top teeth replaced with veneers several years ago, and they are still beautiful!!

I have been coming to Dental Magic since 2005. Dr. Swearingen and Dr. Bartolome have provided excellent dental care. Their assistants and support staff are second to none. Keep up the good work Dan Follow up review. It is now January 2020 and I am still a patient of Dr. Bartolome's.
