As a dentist, Dr. Arwood makes her patients feel safe and comfortable. She believes in treating the patient as a whole entity and not just a tooth. It is very important for her to educate patients and encourage overall health for the mouth, body, and mind. Dr. Arwood is a member of the International Consortium on EDS and HSD.
Outside of the office, Dr. Arwood is passionate about exercise and living a healthy lifestyle. She loves the endless mountain bike trails and skiing that Alaska has to offer. Since moving to Alaska, Dr. Arwood has tried many new Alaskan activities, including fishing and flying. Dr. Arwood spends a lot of time with her Malti-poo, Miska, who you can often see hanging around the office.
Kelly Lucas, DDS graduated from Oklahoma University, College of Dentistry in 1985. After graduating, Dr. Kelly Lucas returned to the great state of Alaska to serve the Indian Health Service in Dillingham for two years before establishing his private practice there. Starting in 1989, he served with the Alaska Army National Guard, including as a Public Health Service Officer and the Guards Alaska Dental Surgeon General. Moving to Wasilla in 1995 with his wife and two sons, Dr. Lucas has served the Wasilla community continuously for the last 24 years. Dr. Lucas is a proud member of the following:

I took my daughter in for an emergency appointment, we have never been to this office before this morning. My little girls has a major fear of all doctors and going to the dentist this morning was no different. But the dentist and the staff at Dental Innovations were absolutely amazing with her. They were kind, patient and they made sure she was comfortable before proceeding with anything. I will be going back and I will recommend this office to everyone! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. They're absolutely amazing, from start to finish.

I had a tooth pulled and bone graph. Had to use my own (saved) pain meds before and after the procedure. Left their office in pain. No follow-up phone call.

So far I've only had one procedure done so my experience is limited at this time. The ladies there took great care of me even tho I'm a huge baby when it come to dentistry. I've been to many dentists throughout my life but this was the best/least painful experience I've ever had.

I may be a little biased being that Dr.Arwood use to be my boss however Dr.Arwood is very very through, kind, and talented dentist here in the Valley! Dr.Arwood is an amazing Dentist that is able to provide most dental services in office... she even extracts teeth in her office... a general dentist that can do it all!! The entire office is amazing from check in, to billing, hygienists and the most amazing dental assistants out there!! If your seeking a new Dentist look no further.. you will be in the best hands possible in this office

I'm so glad I found Dental Innovations. Dr. Arwood is a great dentist. After having a very very poor experience with another dentist I was apprehensive of seeing any one else. My oral health was on a steep decline, and it was desperately time to get some work done. I was terrified, and overwhelmed of getting my wisdom teeth extracted, as well as all the other work that was required. Dr. Arwood made a wisdom tooth extraction that I was terrified of sort of fun. She was very personable, and seems like she really enjoyed her job. Chris the dental assistant was awesome too, she chatted with me the whole time which really helped with my anxiety with the ordeal. There's still more work to do, but I'm glad it will be this Dr to do it!

Absolutely the best dental experience of my life. The staff of Dental Innovations really knows how to treat their patients. Everybody in the office is friendly and helpful. Dr. Arwood is exceptional in both skill and knowledge. Dr. Arwood has great "bedside manner" and is just a top notch dentist. I won't be changing dental offices. I am giving them 5 stars even if it means I might have a longer wait for my next visit. They earned them!

I may be a bit biased because I am an Assistant who works here, but I am just so pleased with the environment, the quality of dentistry, and the kindness of my co-workers. My cleaning and exam was very thorough and all my questions were answered :)

Absolutely love them! Very accommodating if you need to reschedule. I could not get sitter one time and had 2 of my kids with me and the staff was absolutely amazing! The kept entertaining my boy who got scared at first and tried everything to make him happy and were being goofy with him. My baby was in her car seat and she started crying and one of the staff rocked her and talked with her until my cleaning was done! They didn't have to but they went out of their way to keep my kiddos smiling. Not just one staff member but all! They got my tooth extraction scheduled right away only 2 days after we found out they needed pulled. They even would've done it the next day but I had preexisting plans. Dr. Arwood did an amazing job pulling my teeth I usually have extreme anxiety just getting fillings but it went very smoothly.

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of this office and its staff. The Dentist, Dr. Arwood, as well as the Dental Assistant, Emily, explained each procedure they were doing and answered my questions thoroughly. I felt very comfortable, respected and valued as a patient.

Very attentive, clean, and they treat you right here. Dr. Arwood and her team do a great job. You can feel they are doing their best for you! With COVID, she and her team are taking the necessary precautions to keep us safe. I can barely see her face underneath all the protective gear, but her friendliness shines thru!
