Dr. Bakers father was an orthodontist, and he started working for him at a young age, helping out in the lab. All of this first-hand exposure to the oral healthcare field ignited a lifelong curiosity, and he found himself walking down a similar path as hew grew older. In fact, he worked nights doing emergency blood analyses in an inner-city hospital so that he could pay for dental school and graduate with no outstanding loans. This allowed him to start his own solo dental office right away and the rest is history!
After studying at Utah State University, Dr. Baker pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, graduating in 1977. Since then, he has completed numerous continuing education courses in order to stay current with new tools and techniques in dentistry, focusing on topics like sedation dentistry, metal-free restorations, orthodontics with clear braces, and more.
Dr. Baker is the proud father of five daughters who are all in their 40s and 30s today. He also has fourteen grandchildren! Outside of dentistry, traveling is one of his biggest passions. He took his children to Germany, Australia, Italy, and Slovenia for a month in a rented van when they were still young. Hes also hiked at Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon multiple times, rafted twice on the Colorado River, and embarked on both a Baltic Cruise and a trans Panama Canal cruise. Some of his other hobbies include skiing and riding his motorcycle.
Dr. Barlow has always enjoyed learning about biology and the arts of dentistry. He enjoys the challenges of being an oral surgeon and providing world-class oral healthcare to his patients at Dental Innovations. When Dr. Barlow was in college, he became good friends with an oral surgeon who showed him the wonders of dentistry and got him hooked on the industry. He set his sights high and always dreamed of becoming an oral surgeon so he could help revitalize patients' oral health and help them get their smiles back.
Dr. Barlow is a native of Utah and attended the University of Utah for his undergraduate degree. Upon graduation, he headed straight for Louisville, Kentucky, where he attended the prestigious University of Louisville School of Dentistry. After finishing dental school, Dr. Barlow moved to Chicago, Illinois, to do his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
Dr. Barlow is an avid outdoorsman who loves spending time with his family. He met his wife here in Gilbert, AZ, and has two young children with one on the way! Dr. Barlow enjoys heading back to Utah to mountain bike and hike with family and friends. If Dr. Barlow isn't here at Dental Innovations, you can bet he is on the trails or with his family.

I have been going to Dental innovations for 20 years. They are very thoughtful and accommodating to my needs. Today Tori a new dental hygienist took care of me, she was kind, professional, just wonderful and made me feel very comfortable under her care.

My husband and I have been living in Mesa Arizona less than one month, we found Dental Innovations online. Today was my first visit there doing my regular teeth cleaning , I think all the Doctors are very friendly and patient to me, also they offered me a special price for the visit. Thanks!

I was a new patient today for my dental cleaning. Tori was my Dental Hygienist. She was FANTASTIC! Their office has a cancer screening device they offer to you. It's a blue light where they look all around your mouth, tongue, cheek etc. The office is very very cosmetically beautiful. Amazing artwork. Dr. Baker reviewed my x-rays and did my exam. Overall, I had an amazing experience!

This is an awesome dentist office. The office is very nicely decorated and looks professional. My teeth are extremely sensitive. When I get cleanings Janet takes the utmost care in making sure that I'm comfortable. She has had to revise the way she does my cleanings so that I do not have any pain. She works really hard to get them clean and polished pain free! She is awesome! Dr. Baker is just as awesome. He checks everything out after she's done to make sure my teeth are in optimal condition. You can tell they really care about their patients. I have been going to this dentist for approximately 9 years now and I won't go anywhere else. I don't know that anyone else can take care of my teeth as well as they do. Mainly, they make sure my sensitive teeth do not have any pain. The office staff is nice and friendly too. It's an awesome place to go if you have any dental needs. I go for regular cleanings to keep my teeth healthy. Dr. Baker and his staff are the best! They definitely deserve 5 stars. 3/1/2022 I went to get a cleaning and Janet did a fantastic job as always. 9/6/2022 I got a routine cleaning and x-rays. Janet did a fabulous job as always.

Today was my first visit and since most dentist visits are usually not too pleasant. So I was a bit. Scared. But I was pleasantly surprised The dentist and assistant were very nice, patient and gentle. They were also verwould y helpful and understanding . I'm disabled and on a wheelchair So I am usually kind of slow. Kudos to the staff. I would recommend dental innovations to all my friends. Thanks again !!!
