At Dental Implants and Periodontology of Arizona, we believe in using advanced techniques to get you the quality care you need for a healthier smile. We have invested in tools that make your treatment better from beginning to end. We begin with a digital X-ray that allows us to get better, faster images of your jaw. Because it is digital, you are exposed to only 1/10 of the radiation you would find in a traditional X-ray.
Many of our patients can benefit from our advanced perioscopy procedure. Perioscopy uses a small camera and fiber optic lights that can go beneath the gumline to give us eyes on the problem without having to perform painful gum surgery.
Once your treatment is over, we might recommend platelet-rich plasma healing therapy. We take some of your own blood platelets and use them to enrich your treatment area. Through your bodys own natural processes, the blood platelets will encourage healing so that you are back to your normal self sooner rather than later!
Lauras forte is patient-focused, individualized hygiene therapy. She understands that every one of her patients is unique and deserves to be treated with special care. Laura is here to help you improve and stabilize your gum health by providing pocket reduction treatments and therapeutic periodontal maintenance cleanings. An Arizona native, Laura has been with Dr. Komarnyckyjs office since 2006. She is married and has a son and daughter, two cats, and a dog. In her free time, Laura enjoys having family adventures and is active in the Arizona State Dental Hygienists Association.

Digital charting is a great way to track a patients dental history. This method allows us to store digital images so that you can watch your oral health progress. Rather than relying on general charts and models, your specialist can explain the diagnosis and treatment options using specific information.
Perioscopy procedures make use of fiber optic technology to magnify and illuminate the areas surrounding your teeth. This equipment allows our hygienist to view your teeth and gums in microscopic detail. The result is a much easier procedure. We can often avoid painful gum surgery with perioscopy technology!
PRP techniques allow our specialists to take advantage of the bodys natural processes to accelerate soft-tissue healing and increase bone regeneration following various periodontal procedures. Using a centrifuge, we first isolate platelets from a sample of your own blood. The growth-factor rich platelets are then applied directly to the surgical area to accelerate and enhance the healing process.
We use a 3D imaging software called Simplant. The 3D images allow us to see your entire tooth and bone structure in a clear and detailed way. This makes it possible for our specialists to better determine the ideal size and location for your dental implant. We also use digital X-rays to ensure that we have the best possible images of your mouth!

I have called multiple times to call so I can make an appointment but no answer. it would ring and someone would hang up. Disappointed !

This review is for Dr. K whom I had the pleasure of meeting about 2 years ago. Dr. K was amazing and honest. He chose the conservative route for my tooth, vs up-selling me on more "extreme" measures that other "dentists" recommended. He made sure I understood everything and his assistants were very patient too with my questions. All over, I felt comfortable in the procedure before we did it. Once complete, I had no pain and everything healed well. Big kudos to Dr. K. He's now retired, but he was a true gem to the office.

Choose Dr. K. I came in need of a tooth extraction and implant. I've had several painful and negative dental experiences and my anxiety about the procedures was high. At our consultation Dr. K and his team clearly explained our options and answered our several questions regarding the procedures, payment, insurance, etc. The office was inviting, warm, comfortable, and friendly. Their professionalism from my first visit to the quick follow ups after the crown was installed, has exceeded my expectations. One example of above and beyond service: During recovery at home I was worried about it's concerning color and appearance. Dr. K responded via personal text message and phone call - on the weekend! (Everything was fine). Some matters of dental pain and unpleasant recovery simply can't be avoided, but you'll be in the best hands with Dr. K and his competent, very friendly staff. Thanks Dr. K and Ladies!

My consultation was free, and the most surprising thing was that when they took the measurements (gum recession, bone loss), I barely felt anything. At my regular dentist's office, I can always feel the instruments touching my gums. They also didn't attempt to push any services that I didn't actually need.

Laura does a great job cleaning teeth at the office. In the past I've had implants done at the office. Dr. Komarnyckyj did a great job getting my implants taken care of.

I brought my brother here for significant dental work. I am surprised by how pleasant and thorough the team here has been. My brother feels so comfortable here. Their communication is excellent and they go out of their way to make you feel at ease. You're in good hands with Dr. K and his team.

Last year I had a procedure with Dr, K. Everyone at his office was so nice and followed up with me repeatedly the 3 days after my surgery. All of my check ups said everything was good! Having someone cut open your mouth is very frightening, but Dr. K, and the staff at his office, made the whole series of events go smoothly!

I learned of Dr. K from 2 separate people that had used his services and were very pleased. He and his office staff came highly recommended. I was so nervous and anxious about getting implants. The doctor and his support staff eased my worries, answered all my questions, and made me feel much more relaxed about the procedure. They were all so patient with my many, many questions and phone calls and they were very pleasant to boot. The doctors apparent skills and experience made me confident that I definitely made the right choice. Now, almost 2 years after the implant surgery, which required Dr. K to place bone tissue to grow first, my check up visit and X-rays today got me an A+ on how everything looks. It is without any reservations that I highly recommend Dr. K and his wonderful support staff for your periodontal services.

Have known Dr K since 2005 and he has always done a great job in taking care of my implant He took care of a failed implant from a previous dentist , he is very knowledgeable and his staff are very helpful He comes highly recommended !!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Komarnyckyi for over ten years but had not been to see him for a while. Our visits started again today when I called his office for a second opinion on a very problematic tooth. His staff was most accommodating in seeing me immediately. Dr K, just out of surgery, took the time to X-ray and throughly examine the tooth ruling out any periodontic issues. He shared his diagnosis and possible treatment plan even though the issue is not his specalty. I am most grateful that he removed the guesswork of what is required to correct the problem. I am feeling better already. Thank you Doctor!
