Dr. Burnett grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico spending most of his time outdoors or playing sports. As a child he was fortunate enough to explore different areas of the southwest and the world while traveling for sports tournaments. He also spent countless hours in nature fishing, hunting, and hiking with his family.
After graduating with a B.S. in Biology from New Mexico State University, he moved to the Midwest for dental school. Dr. Burnett earned his DDS from the University of Missouri Kansas City. After graduation, Dr. Burnett moved to Arizona where he practiced general dentistry and met his wife. They moved to Chicago where he continued to gain experience and expand his practice of dentistry. He and his wife are expecting their first child in December and moved to Colorado to be closer to family.
With his free time, Dr. Burnett loves being outdoors and hunts, fishes, or hikes whenever possible. He is an avid sports fan and tries to see as many games as possible. Dr. Burnett is also a food lover and enjoys trying new restaurants and cooking delicious new dishes.

I would highly recommend this office to anybody looking for a dentist. All staff members I interacted with were very friendly, ready to answer any questions and passionate about their jobs. The front office staff were very helpful with scheduling, and worked closely with me to ensure insurance coverage. Dr. Kessler was very patient, and gave plenty of detailed information and explanations for all of his recommendations. The hygienist who performed my teeth cleaning was also very kind and attentive. All around, a 10/10 experience :) I would give more stars if I could.

All the staff at Olson Family dental really care about their patients and their needs. They don't try to upsell, and make sure you're comfortable even when doing procedures that generally hurt more. My root canal was a breeze, almost pleasant even. And the rest of the work they did for me was top notch. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend!

This place is a rip off, go in for a broken tooth, just wanted roots pulled, after the sales pitch on implants and the 4500 dollars it would cost for the very back tooth. Just to pull roots they want 1500 for an extraction with good dental insurance. Actual cost at a Dentist not trying to rip me off was 38 dollars out of pocket with my insurance. Go elsewhere unless you like overpaying a lot.

I have been going there since 2018, and I have never had the same dentist twice. I like to build a rapport with my providers which is impossible if you see someone different each time. I have had a few cavities that were filled by the hygienist that took way longer than the dentist would have been able to do them. I feel that my experiences there are very inconsistent. When I had my 1 wisdom tooth taken out, it was a piece of cake, but having a cavity filled another time was terribly uncomfortable. I was also interested in whitening my teeth. They sold me 1 syringe of Opalescence 10% and instructed that I use it for 30 minutes once/month. I have whitened my teeth with syringes before, but I had never heard of using it for a mere 30 minutes once a month. I thought it was too good to be true. Well it was, all websites say to use it for 7-10 days for 8-10 hours at a time. Anyways, Retro Dental isn't terrible but I don't really trust or like them anymore and will be looking for care elsewhere.

The lady at the front desk is incredibly rude. Scheduled an appointment on Monday for Thursday. Called Thursday to confirm and she said I wasn't booked and then proceeded to gaslight me and act that she'd never spoken to me before. No apologies, just incredibly rude. The dentist that used to run this office was wonderful and when they retired they got bought out by the people there now. I can't even speak to whether or not the actual dentist that runs this place is nice or not because their receptionist was such a rude person. I wouldn't go here if customer service matters to you at all. I hope the dentist that runs this office can find a new receptionist that has better customer service skills.

Very personal practice. All were friendly and helpful. Dr. Burnett was thorough and knowledgeable. He took time to explain in depth. Was pleased with first visit.

I'm not a fan of the dentist but I enjoy the staff and provider. They make me laugh and time flies. The provider answers all my questions and concerns.

Loved Retro Dental! The staff and the dentist were all extremely nice and communicative which made me feel very comfortable. Definitely recommend!

They have had staff changes but I still stand by my review! The front desk lady was not quite as welcoming AT FIRST but I got to know her a bit and she is great! We all have off days and people are different and we all need to embrace that. The new dentist is honesty more thorough than the previous one (sorry, I don't know names) and gave me some options I was not aware of on getting my implant but without pushing me to do something I don't want/can't afford. Again, thank you all for being you! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have always had bad experiences with dentists. Always. Retro Dental is AMAZING. They provided me with a second opinion on my cavities and made me feel comfortable about an extraction that needs to be done. I drive from Boulder to come here and it's so worth it . Great staff, thank you all for being you!
