Dr. Chady Elhage is a Michigan native. He attended the University of Michigan for all of his educational training, earning a bachelors of science with honors in biochemistry and his Dental degree. These were followed by an additional 3 years of extensive specialty training in Prosthodontics which is the dental specialty focused on Implant, Cosmetic and Prosthetic dentistry. During his residency training, Dr. Elhage obtained a Master of Science degree for his research focused on CAD/CAM dentistry.
In addition to maintaining a private practice, Dr. Elhage is a clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Detroit Mercy Dental School, and currently serves on the board of Oakland County Dental Society.
Dr. Elhage and his wife, have three children and a cat named Sully. He comes from a family of engineers, loves cars, the city of Detroit and most important, being able to provide dental care to the community.

Dr. El-Banhawy completed the advanced education in general dentistry program at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He then moved on to postgraduate training in Periodontology and Implant dentistry in addition to obtaining a Masters of Biomedical Science degree, also from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
Dr. El-Banhawy is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant dentistry and a Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. El-Banhawy and his wife, who is also a dentist, live in West Bloomfield with their two boys and rescue cat. When not taking care of his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
Dr. Andrew Afshar is originally from Northeast Ohio. While there, he earned his Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering and Natural Science from the University of Akron. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Case School of Dental Medicine in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
While in dental school, Dr. Afshar made the decision to specialize in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He also completed surgical residency at USC, serving as chief resident in his final year. Finally, given his interest in aesthetic surgery, Dr. Afshar completed an accredited cosmetic surgery fellowship at the Institute of Facial and Cosmetic Surgery in Murray, Utah.
Dr. Afshar is a dually-licensed dental specialist and physician. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society and has lectured nationally on cosmetic surgery. Outside of work, Dr Afshar is an avid sports fan and loves to take advantage of Michigans beautiful lakes.

They follow COVID-19 protocol although I have the vaccine it reassures me that they take there business seriously and that is a sign my dental health is taken seriously. I have had excellent caring service for some year's here. My children's care is also done here.

I love them they are very respectful and professional!! The only bad thing is they are really expensive so all though I really want to get the work done there I may not be able too but if you have the money it would the #1 choice.

I have to be honest with you so far I had just visited and had consultations with the periodontist and they prosthodontic!! very good bedside manner. I am beginning my work with them!! so I will keep you posted how that turns out!! but the nurse Larissa that I've been dealing with on a daily basis, goes far and beyond her job!! I have to say how caring of an individual she is and they are so lucky to have her!! I hope when I have my surgery the doctors are as good as she is!! now I have Very high expectations!!

Due to a botched donated surgery & cancer, I lost all my teeth and went around for almost 2 yrs BEFORE COVID w/ my hand over my face. During that time I went & got 6 opinions, dentist who wouldn't even handle my case, dentist who told me they could, chain places such Aspen & Clear Choice who quoted me the same price but the surgeons spent maybe 5 min w/ me but an hour on a sales pitch. The doctor's here each spent prob an hour w me, then answered questions from my Fam. After surgery and beyond I NVR felt abandon or that they didn't care. The staff is wonderful, the doctor's are way more experienced than anyone around. Yet all of them still held my hand thru everything, NVR once made me feel I was an inconvenience.

My experience at the dental implant center was absolutely wonderful. (It is a dentist. I know) the staff and drs make u feel so comfortable. So helpful. My surgery went fantastic and has literally changed my life. Health. Confidence, just awesome. Highly recommend!!!

Dr. Omar El-Banhawy is a true pleasure to work with. His bedside manner is excellent. He is a very talented Periodontist and his expertise with dental implants is outstanding. Dr. El-Banhawy successfully completed the extraction and implant of my front tooth on the same day. I have had no problems whatsoever. The staff at the Dental Implant Center of Royal Oak are very professional, helpful and friendly. I can't say enough good things about my positive experience with this practice.

Excellent dental care. Delia was exceptionally knowledgeable. After my consultation with Dr. Elhage, I feel completely confident to put my dental care and surgery in their hands. I really liked how they have advanced training and would not commit until all the doctors evaluated my x-rays.

I made an appointment with this place because I really needed a full mouth rehabilitation. It was the worst decision of my life. I work a lot and saw on their website that they have "Saturday by appointment" and thought that would be wonderful. I get to the center and they do not. It is the first thing I asked about. So literally what they have advertised on their website is not available. Then I am told all of the services I need to have done and agree to them all. I never was told the information I got AFTER I left the center which made the visit a total waste of my time. They have ONE hygienist on staff. ONE. So if you need a cleaning this means a backup. I wish they would have told me this up front, like the Saturday appointment. They should have. Then, I told them a week I had off to come in and they said they would work with me. After the visit I left thinking I had a plan in place for many emergency treatments I need. They emailed me paperwork and prices for me to sign. Then comes the absolute nightmare. They call and say, "we are booking out into JUNE." I told them the doctors and I agreed to a week I had off and could be seen within the month. That is what we discussed. Now its JUNE? So the staff called me back and left messages to call them back. Can you believe they tell me they have now pawned me off onto SOMEONE ELSE because they cannot see me? I paid $200 with my insurance for an exam and x-rays. That is all the treatment I received. I went in excited to finally get the much needed care for my mouth and was crushed. I was treated like my $13,000 worth of needed dental care didn't matter and I as a patient didn't matter. So now I am crying and upset left without dental care I need. So why did they not tell me up front they had no Saturday visits, one hygienist and couldn't do the work I needed until June? I could have went somewhere else and started all this paperwork and exam with them. I did not even get a call back from ANY of the doctor here I saw. How would you feel treated like that? I felt let down, disgusted and abandoned as a patient. I would never recommend this place as they advertise services they do not even have, they did not tell me up front they have 1 hygienist on staff or that they could not even book me until June. But they sure sent contracts and paperwork for me to sign FIRST, before I even got an appointment scheduled for the actual work. I rarely leave bad reviews but after the way I was treated and STILL have not even heard from one of the dentists here after all I went through, I feel shocked and disgusted. Now I have to hope I do not lose a tooth going to find a new dental place all over again and could have seen another dentist who actually had the time to see me. I deserved much better treatment than I received. Look at my screens hot where they say they have Saturday appointments. Why is that there if they do not have them? So wrong to hard working and busy people who have full-time jobs. Everyone deserves the total facts up front.

This dental office was outstanding. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Everyone was kind, caring, professional, and the office was extremely clean. They made sure to follow all Covid protocols. Dr. Elhage and Mallory were wonderful with my very nervous mother. They did everything to make sure she was safe and at ease. I took my 96 year old mother to this practice after her dentist of 20 years said he could not fix her broken front tooth. Dr. Elhage came up with an easy fix. He pulled her broken front tooth and attached a fake one to her partial. He even made sure the color of the tooth matched well with her other teeth. My mother never had any pain from her pulled tooth. She said it was like nothing was ever done to her tooth. Dr. Elhage even personally called me in the evening to see how my mom was feeling and gave me his personal phone number. He told me if she needs anything at all to call him any time. I have never met a dentist as dedicated to his patient's welfare. I wish I had found this office sooner. I can not say enough good things about this practice I will recommend them to everyone!

The Dental Implant Center of Royal Oak deserves 5 stars and more in my opinion. One will not find a more compassionate team of dedicated professionals focused on patient comfort and providing amazing results. As a person who had fear and anxiety regarding anything dental, I no longer have these feelings because of my treatment. Every single person at this first class facility has the common goal of putting the patient at ease. I am so pleased with the results! My teeth look great and feel great. I can talk, eat, smile and simply enjoy life again. It's impossible to find better doctors; they are the best. It's impossible to find more caring doctors and staff; no one cares more about the patient. I will always be grateful for The Dental Implant Center of Royal Oak.
