Sedation dentistry offers individuals with general anxiety about going to the dentist or fears about a specific dental procedure the opportunity to have a stress free and more comfortable experience. Utilizing safe and controlled sedation techniques prior to the dental procedure the patient is eased into a state of complete relaxation. This eliminates any discomfort, pain, and preoperative anxiety that may be associated with a particular dental visit. With sedation dentistry patients typically feel more at ease post-operatively as they have little or no memory of the actual moment-to-moment dental procedure.

Commonly referred to as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is used as a mild sedative to reduce anxiety and allow a level of relaxation during a procedure. Nitrous oxide is inhaled through a small mask over the nose. It is administered for the duration of the procedure and is turned off as the procedure is coming to an end. The effects of this method of sedation wear off very quickly.

Dr. Dan focuses on getting to know each patient, listens to their concerns and customizes a treatment plan according to their needs and finances. Dr. Dan was born in South Korea and came to the States when he was 5 years old. Before moving down to Florida, he owned multiple offices in the Metropolitan New York area providing excellent dental care to a very high-end clientele, as well as community clinic settings for 15 years. He is married to Jan who is an emergency room nurse for the past 25 years, currently working at Moffitt Cancer Center. He has three children. The oldest is Benjamin who received Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University and DMD degree from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ben is currently working together with Dr. Dan. In the middle is Nina, who graduated from NYU School of Nursing and is currently working at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The youngest, Thomas is a fourth year dental student at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. When not in the office, Dr. Dan enjoys running, tennis, weight lifting, movies and meditation.

Our office manager, Patricia (AKA Trish) has been working in the dental field for more than 28 years. She is highly energetic, very friendly and has a lot of common sense. She moved from Long Island, New York 15 years ago and currently resides in Seven Oaks community in Wesley Chapel. Her hobbies include elliptical training, running, weight lifting, and nutrition.

Our dental hygienist, Stephanie (AKA Steph) is a licensed dentist in Republic of Columbia. She moved to Columbia with her family when she was a teenager and received her dental degree there. She is working toward getting a dental license in the US. She is bilingual, very smart, highly motivated and likes to make patients feel comfortable. Her hobbies include reading, yoga, and going to the movies.

Our Registered Nurse, Jan (AKA Boss Jan) has been an emergency room nurse for the past 28 years. She is a hard working, compassionate and very social nurse. She is an expert at starting and monitoring IV sedation for those patients who want to go to sleep for a dental procedure. Her hobbies include all types of cooking, watching Thai videos, traveling and Orange Theory.

Our office manager, Kimberly (AKA Kimbo), has over 25 years of dedicated dental management experience. Kims advanced knowledge of every aspect of the dental office enables her to provide excellent guidance and training for our practice. Kim works hard to assure things run smoothly and efficiently for our patients and staff. She always does her best to keep patients informed, eliminate any waiting time and to get the best benefits allowed by the insurance company for our patients. Kim and her family have relocated from South Florida and now live in Land O Lakes in the Connerton Community. Her hobbies include meditation, spending quality time with her 2 beautiful school aged daughters, cooking for the family and relaxing by the pool with her mini Labradoodle and Goldendoodle.
