Although my official title is financial coordinator, I actually handle the whole front office. I answer phones, schedule visits, and greet and check in patients. In addition, I work with patients to make sure they get the most from their insurance benefits and find financial terms that work with their budget.
I have a husband and two sons at home. My children and their love of trains take up a lot of my leisure time. We are often at the station watching trains or taking train rides. When I do have a few free minutes to myself, I enjoy riding my bike, reading, and being with my family.
I really enjoy working with people and getting to know them. Its rewarding to learn about their lives and experiences while sharing stories of my own. We have a wonderful team here and our patients respond to the friendliness and warmth, relaxing and laughing with us.
I spend my days helping patients take control of their smiles health. I offer preventive and therapeutic gum therapy and place dental restorations. While cleaning patients teeth, I talk with them about their oral health and how they can keep it in great shape. I also assist Dr. Alan during restorative procedures.
My husband Jimmy and I have been married for almost 20 years. We have a great son, Victor, as well as a young and rambunctious chocolate lab. We enjoy going to car shows and camping as a family. I like reading and quilting during my private time.
I am a people person and love building relationships. We serve the best patients and its a joy to help and care for them. The best moments are when we finish a procedure and they feel better and are full of smiles! Dr. Alan and our team feel like family and our patients feel the same.
I help, listen to, and care for our patients during visits. Working chairside, I assist Dr. Alan while supporting the patient and explaining what were doing. I also maintain, sterilize, and coordinate repairs for our equipment.
I have two children: son Kelly and daughter Jenny and two grandchildren. I love spending time with my family, especially my husband who Ive been married to for more than 20 years. We like showing our 1933 Franklin at car shows and attending our favorite church as a family.
I am passionate about healing dental disease and learning about new ways to treat both tooth decay and gum disease as infections. My deep and abiding interest in the connection of infections in the mouth to diseases in the rest of the body has lead to me to join the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH), an organization of dentists, physicians, dental hygienists, and other clinicians. I am working toward certification in the Bale-Doneen Method, an emerging, exciting medical philosophy developed right here in Washington state and part of the curriculum at WSUs new medical school in Spokane. We can help keep you healthy by reducing oral infections as much as possible. You can help by keeping your gums healthy at home and by reading Bale and Doneens book Beat the Heart the Heart Attack Gene.
Dental Health Group is composed of amazing people and we have been together for a long time. Together, weve created an office thats warm and friendly, where we take time to learn every patients concerns and values. We are a locally-owned private practice, not a big corporate dental factory. We are focused on individualized patient care, not on processing patients quickly. We have the freedom and time to get to know our patients personally and to build relationships.
Each year I complete many courses, online and at conferences and lectures. I also remain current through various dental journals and other publications. I have logged hundreds of hours of continuing education in my career. By constantly expanding our services and honing my skills, Im able to provide much of the care my patients need.
I enjoy volunteering with the Northwest Medical Teams mobile dental program, which helps local children that have dental concerns and provides smile-saving care. In addition, Ive traveled to Mexico to deliver dental care in the mountains of Chihuahua and to Russia to aid in setting up a dental clinic on a collective farm shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
When Im not caring for patients, I enjoy bike riding on the Orting Trail or walking along the Puyallup River levy. We make it to the Washington coast a couple of times a year and we travel outside the country once in a while. In quieter times, I like reading, writing, and studying languages, this time Portuguese. Well, I had two procedures being done, a cavity filling and a filling chip repair. Each one we're on each side of my mouth. On the right side the dentist pinched my mouth and so I have a sore on my right side of my lip and then when they did my left side to repair of my filling chip they injured the inside of my left lip.They both are very friendly, everybody is nice there. I am just a little bit irritated with their technique.

I have been going to Dental Health for 30 years and have gone thru a few dentists who have bought the business. Will not go anywhere else love Christina who's been my hygienist for approximately 16 years. She can never leave.

Excellent care from a group of people who really care about your health. Everything is done with you in mind. They answer your questions and help you understand what they are doing and why. They explain how important our dental health is for the entire body. The doctor recently replaced a filling that was leaking. Looking at a photo, the new filling is indetectable to me.

I have gone here for a long time and everyone makes sure that I am comfortable, informed and pain free. One of the main things that I do appreciate the most, is they never try to push more and expensive procedures on me. I feel they really care and are there to help me with all my Dental needs.

This place is a good resourceful center that you can learn about the health of your own dental hygiene. I've been with these guys since I was like 6 years old. They may have changed doctors over the years as former dentists have retired but they all hold on to the same philosophy of good health for your teeth. I recommend this business to anyone in need of some great care for their own gums and teeth.
