I have Medicaid. My kids and all went here for a couple visits each. We all waited about 20-30 minutes to be seen in our first visits without anyone coming to tell us they were behind...I had to ask and then inform them that now we only had 40 minutes to be seen. They did a rush cleaning on me personally and told me that I had to come back to do another cleaning. I didn't appreciate that I live across town and had to come back due to their "timing". When I came back, they then told me that I had to schedule a deep cleaning due to having "periodontal disease" which would require two more separate visits and anesthesia. And they kind of made it non-chalant, like "oh by the way you have periodontal disease so we'll have to schedule two more visits", without any explanation of what they saw in my teeth/gums that would make them conclude this. In my gut I felt this to be inaccurate however I followed through with the visits. I have been dreading what could be going on with my gums and teeth in the future, with this diagnosis. Fast forward a year and I decided not to go back to them and go to another dental office that accepts Medicaid. Today I got an exam, cleaning and x-rays, in another office, and the Dentist told me I have some plaque and tartar (he didn't know anything about this office diagnosing me with periodontal disease), and my teeth look good and I'd just need a cleaning. I told him how Dental Health at Midtown Denver said I have periodontal disease and he looked at me perplexed and said that I don't have any kind of deep pockets or gum receding (nor do I have bleeding gums when I floss or brush), as a matter of fact he hardly found anything to report on except some plaque and tartar. I'm relieved I got another opinion but the worry it caused me to be told I have periodontal disease is major negligence. I do think Dental Health at Midtown Denver possibly wanted to make more money from me and have Medicaid cover it. Really upsetting. I won't ever come back here again nor would I recommend anyone else come here.

The dentist, Dr Short, who left in a very abbreviated and sudden fashion, was erratic but nice. Competent. The office staff is a gigantic nightmare and very cruel. Yes I used the word cruel. After they had scheduled me for incorrect visits twice, I was late to an appointment, and one of the three nightmare office people said they were going to charge me a fee. I said in that case I'd be leaving. (My son and I were patients at this place for 4 years.) This witchy woman told me she wouldn't release the funds allocated for my work by my insurance so I could get it done elsewhere and was super nasty about releasing my medical records to me (never received them) and my insurance dictates there are no after visit fees. They sent me bills over the years in small fees which I paid. Then I learned about the caveat in my insurance. I called my insurance in tears, and explained my situation, which the kind gentleman who helped fixed for me. He released my funding and gave me the information about the billing. Then I registered a complaint. Although they'd sent me a bill the previous month, with 0 specifications of what it was for, they told the investigator I didn't owe them anything and the case was closed. The dentist I saw most is gone, but it was the incompetence and unkindness of the clumsy and unprofessional office workers that drove me away. I remember even before I had my major issue, I would come to the office and they'd have pals sitting in front of their desks eating lunch who didn't even move when I was speaking to the staff, and no one said anything. Not a peep, so I had to yell slightly and conduct my business in front of random strangers which is a grey area HIPAA violation and also extremely rude. I dearly wish I could find information to reach the owner and that I'd gotten their names to boot. They were inept and rude. I last visited the office to try to get records in June of 2019, and I was livid and anxious after. Hopefully the twits then there are long gone- for everyone's sake!!!! I could easily pursue the visit fee violation as I have every copy of there unspecified fee bills. I chose not to because it seemed terribly trivial in this awful time. I have given it thought and I decided to throw my weight in with the other dissatisfied patient reviews. They are literally criminal in conduct, and incompetent as well. I also read in a couple other Google reviews they pay people to write positive reviews, or did. One person said they accepted the bribe and still felt compelled to give an updated negative review. Go to Happy Teeth. It's close to Midtown and it's superior in every way. I found a review with this: "And to be completely honest, my initial four star review was written because they offered to take $50 off of my total at checkout with a good review. Very sleazy and odd. I have never had that experience before - and I'm curious to know how often they offer this and how many four and five star reviews are simply fluffed." Run like the wind!!! I couldn't remember the most awful office worker, who another angry ex patient remembers: Marina. She and her underlings are incompetent and rude. I can't believe someone gave her authority somewhere. From my reading today, I found another person they tried bribing more recently. I do not consider these workers admin staff. They are workers, they don't even operate with marginal politeness, or competence either. I wonder whenever I consider them if they are mirrored by the higher up administration or the high up people don't know what's going on, as these people alienate patient after patient. I heard the new dentist that came the week I left is nice, but who wants to wade through such an incompetent mess to find out?

Scheduled an appointment at 8 am no one is here nor is the office open, after getting text reminders the entire weekend. Unacceptable

The receptionist is nice. The dentist is very enthusiastic about his job, and he is very personable. The office has a nice atmosphere with welcoming decor. I typically don't like going to the dentist, but this one is different. I feel informed about what the dentist is doing and why he is doing it.

Scheduled an appointment for 7:50am. 45 minutes later, no one has showed up to open. How are you going to schedule someone and not even show up?

I tried to make an initial appointment twice and no one answers the phones and you can't leave a message because the mailbox is full. I also submitted an appointment request online and have not received a response. Hmmmm I think I am looking elsewhere.

This is not for the office itself but rather a rude and short interaction with a receptionist. If this is my first interaction with this place I prefer to take my business elsewhere. Why is it so hard to be polite ?

Worst dentist place ever. Put a crown on me, didn't tell me medicaid wasn't going to pay for it. Now I have a $450 bill that I can't afford. Hence why I'm on medicaid.

Billed me months after a cleaning even though they told me it was free/covered with my dental insurance, they're difficult to get ahold of by phone, and the interior of the place is pretty ugly and run-down. Wasn't impressed at all. I'll be going elsewhere in the future. Cleaning itself was fine and quick so giving 1 star for that.

I had my first visit with Midtown Dental last week and I am so happy that I switched to this practice. The administrative staff is friendly, patient and helpful; the dental hygienist was thorough and gentle, and the doctor, Dr. T, was incredibly kind and supportive. He answered my questions and said I could text him anytime with follow-up questions. He also sent me lots of tips for helping prepare my child for successful dental exams in the future. Thank you Midtown Dental for an A+ visit experience!

Very unprofessional!!! I've had to wait more than 30 minutes for my appointment twice because they're are always running late. I feel they should have the patient who was late reschedule so the next appointment won't have to wait DISAPPOINTED

Worst experience I've ever had at a Dentist's office. I went in for a routine cleaning and they said that I needed to get a filling drilled and re-filled (pretty routine). As I was sitting in the waiting room, I could hear the Dentist yelling women's names, most likely the dental hygienists which seemed aggressive and unprofessional. When I got into the Dentist's chair, the dental hygienist did a satisfactory job cleaning my teeth and then the Dentist came in. He barely addressed me or tell me exactly what he was doing and shoved a silicone object in my mouth to keep my mouth open (no explanation). He then shot me with some Novacaine and told me to wait 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the Dentist returned and began drilling my filling. I told him that I could feel it and it was painful. He doubted that I was in pain but begrudgingly gave me more Novacaine. I had asked for laughing gas or something to calm my nerves as I was extremely anxious and uncomfortable due to the entirety of the situation but I was never administered anything to help. The Dentist then returned to continue drilling my teeth while I held back tears. When he left, the dental hygienist put the new filling in my mouth and I could tell that my top and bottom teeth were not lined up. When I went home, I realized that my two teeth were connected with the filling as the dental hygienist did not floss between my teeth. I also felt a sharp corner on my tooth and my tooth was in a lot of pain. Turns out that the Dentist drilled WAY TOO deep and I had to get a porcelain cap-like thing installed in my mouth. DO NOT GO HERE. Insensitive staff, terrible work, no accountability.

Without any warning took 3 teeth out, did two root canals and a really horrible job of several fillings in the front of my mouth completely ruining the several years I spent in braces by leaving gaps and making my two front teeth two different sizes. Sent me home with no communication, no meds and not even a follow-up appointment. I was in so much pain I had to call the next day for some meds. Stephen Perry argued with me on the phone saying he gave me scripts. Then passed the phone to his rude receptionist who tried to argue the same thing. Called me back in an hour to say I was correct but they couldn't get me any scripts that day because he isn't in the office. This is in the afternoon because it took ALL day to get a hold of someone. The receptionist tells me to come in at 930 am the next day. Completely ignoring the fact I cannot bite down without being in agony. I come in and because I didn't want to say "good morning" back to stephen (I refuse to call someone a doctor when they act with such unprofessionalism) he tells me our relationship is over tells the receptionist not to give me anything and then threatens to call the police on me of I don't leave!?! I did NOTHING wrong THEY DID! THEY DIDN'T COUNSEL ME, THEY NEGLECTED TO GIVE MY SCRIPTS TO ME, THEY ARGUED WITH ME, LEFT ME IN SEVERE PAIN FOR DAYS AND INFECTED WITH NO MEDICINE BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO SAY GOOD MORNING BACK! THEY WILL BE HEARING FROM EVERY LICENSING BOARD, THE DEA FOR ALLOWING HIS HYGIENISTS TO FILL OUT NARCOTIC SCRIPTS, ("THEY KNOW WHERE HIS SIGNATURE IS" PER STEPHEN) AND MY INSURANCE. NOT TO MENTION A MALPRACTICE LAWSUIT! DO NOT GO HERE! WE ALL DESERVE BETTER! Update: the fillings Stephen had his hygienist put in because he was too busy with too many patients has already fallen out of my front tooth. This is unacceptable on many different levels.

Be aware of this place, I went there for a check up and they told me I need a crown and I did it. The day they did the crown they told me it will be sensitive for just few weeks, after few weeks I went back because I couldn't use that side of my mouth and they did some adjustment and told me to wait for few more weeks again. The sensitivity never got better so I went back there and talked to the dentist and he was just giving me the nonsense reasons. ALL THEY CARE IS TO TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!!

So I have a major fear of any and all dental procedures, even a simple cleaning!!!! It has now caused for me to have several dental issues due to my lack of going when needed and for all normal dental checkups!!!! I was so very lucky to get introduced to Dr. Perry who is beyond amazing, caring and extremely knowledgeable in every aspect!!!! My 1st appointment with him started with me hysterically crying as he began to talk to me simply because my dental anxiety is that bad! He immediately stopped mid sentence and said for me to go get my husband so he could speak with the both of us. He explained in full detail how common my anxiety is and even went as far as to blame all dentists in general because of their lack of knowledge and understanding to my issues which has now caused me to have severe and unnecessary complications and issues with my teeth. He made me feel so comfortable and safe and ready and more than willing to go back!!!! After my appointment, I found out that he is the actual OWNER the fact that he never mentioned that to us speaks volumes! He has made sure I have always had proper medication and several different options to make sure my fear/anxiety is as minimal as possible. I seriously have thanked God for this man more then I can count!!!! He is truly a Godsend. He never rushes himself or me through my appointments even if I am not having something done on that particular day! Thank you soooooooo very much for all that you have done and continue to do for me Dr. Perry And the girls upfront are always helpful and nice although they are beyond busy since their reopening after since COVID-19! Thanks MidTown and especially Dr. Perry!!!!!!!!!!
