Dr. LaGrua started his dental career in the U.S. Army, where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in July 2000 at Fort Jackson, SC. He then spent two years at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and was deployed to Bosnia Herzegovina with the Stabilization Forces in the former Yugoslavia.
In 2009, Dr. LaGrua earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), becoming one of only 7 percent of dentists who have achieved this honor. Dr. LaGrua has also completed training through the Misch International Implant Institute and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Calvano began his dental career in the U.S. Navy where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency in July of 2000 at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, South Carolina. He spent the next three years as part of the 2nd Dental Battalion at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. During his time with the Marines, Dr. Calvano was proud to be deployed to the Mediterranean, the Indian Ocean, and Afghanistan with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
In 2007, Dr. Calvano earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). To achieve this honor, dentists must take more than 500 hours of educational courses in various areas of dentistry and must pass a rigorous exam. Dr. Calvano is one of only 7 percent of AGD dentists who have earned an AGD Fellowship. In 2011, Dr. Calvano completed an extensive continuing education series in orthodontics with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars.
When hes not helping patients in the office, Dr. Calvano enjoys spending time with his wife Sandra and their two children, exploring the local beauty of Virginia and traveling abroad to see the sights.
Cameron Roberts always knew he wanted to do something that would allow him to make a difference in the lives of others. While growing up in South Jordan, Utah, Cameron was exposed to the many great things providing dental health care could do. After serving a 2-year Spanish-speaking mission in Bolivia for his church, Cameron finished his Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University as a Microbiology Major, married his sweetheart and moved across the country to begin his dental education at Virginia Commonwealth Universitys Medical College of Virginia.
Following his graduation from VCU Dr. Roberts worked as an associate dentist in Richmond Va.During this time he attended many continuing education seminars to become more proficient at Endodontics, aesthetic dentistry and he is Invisalign and Clear Correct certified.
Dr Roberts joined DHA in 2013 and has loved living in the Shenandoah Valley and working with great co workers.He is currently working to complete the requirements to become a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).

Service for the most part has been fine and a lot better than I've received over the years at other practices. I really liked Dr. Kareem during the short time he was my dentist but he has left the practice. It would be nice to just see one dentist so a relationship can be built long-term but I haven't been able to do this at this practice. As it is, I basically am stuck with whomever walks in the room. At times I feel I'm being subtly pushed to have the "optimal" work done so as to use my insurance benefit, despite the costs I have to pay out of pocket. This makes me feel guilty for opting for a lesser treatment option. I don't like this approach at all. A minor complaint is that I recently wasn't told I'd have to pay out of pocket for fluoride treatment until after I already received the treatment. I likely would have agreed to the treatment but it would have been nice to have been asked.

Everyone was so friendly and professional at Dental Health Associates. I was especially impressed that Christy caught the fact that since I had recently had a joint replacement I needed to take prophylactic antibiotic before any procedure was done. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Treatment plan was nicely printed including insurance coverage, etc. I feel more comfortable here already than I have ever have seeing a dentist.

I had a lot of trouble finding a dentist to do cleanings for my family but we called DHA and they were fantastic - got appointments for all of us quickly and the service was top-notch and everybody was so friendly. We will all be staying with DHA from now on.

I lost a filling the day before a vacation. Dr. Roberts in the Harrisonburg office filled it that same day so I didn't have to worry about it while I was gone. I greatly appreciated it! Go DHA!

Had a good experience receiving a crown. Do think that dental costs are extremely high and don't understand why, if your teeth are so related to many other health concerns, Medicare does not cover dental work!
