I am proud to be 2nd generation to run our Family Dental Practice Dental Group Of Simi Valley. My father, Dr. Ivan Berger, started this practice in 1963. Now it continues with my wife, Dr Laura Jen Kin and myself. My wife and I met in Dental School at the University of the Pacific. We were married August 12th of 1989 and moved to Simi Valley in 1990. We have three beautiful Daughters: Sydney, Karli and Daryn. I remember as a child going with my father to Simi Valley when he was called in for Dental Emergencies. This is how I learned first hand the incredible feeling of caring for people. It was these incredible experiences with my father that made me realize that I also was destined for a profession in Dentistry.
As a General Dentist for over 25 years, I feel that the best part of being a Dentist in Simi Valley is the opportunity to know my patients and their extended families. I feel as if they are part of my family and I am able to share in their joys and challenges during the many years of knowing them. I value the relationships that I form with each and every patient and it is my desire to treat each person with dignity and respect. It is my goal to have my patients feel that it was an enjoyable and easy visit, that they received quality services in a kind and loving environment. I have been involved in the Simi Valley community in various ways over the years. Serving as a Director on the PTA for over ten years, to being a Director on the Education Foundation.
Dr. Shanne Sastiel was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Sastiel then went on to attend the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and later his Masters degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, as well as his postgraduate training and certificate in Periodontics. During his time at UCSF, he received the prestigious award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics by the American Academy of Periodontics.

Been going to this dental group for years and have always been seen on time. The hygienists have done a good job and whenever dental work was needed I was happy with the results.

Very happy with the service that I received. Rachel does a great job cleaning teeth. Dr Jen Kin is honest and compassionate. She communicate very well with you and is very gentle.

Love this Dental office. I had been asking my son's orthodontist Dr. Cha why my son's molars were taking so long to come in? He kept saying it takes time. Dr. Hershal took one look at my son's teeth and said "why hasn't he seen an oral surgeon?" I went to Cha's office and said his dentist thinks he needs to be seen by an oral surgeon. Cha realized he hadn't done X-rays since 2019 and tells his tech to do X-rays. Well what do you know. He needs surgery! His wisdom teeth are holding in the molars!!! Thank Goodness Hershal knows what he is doing! He is excellent. 5 stars

I have had to go in for treatment lately for a crown that came out from a previous dental group and a broken tooth. Each time they made time for me and provided Great service. I leave feeling like I matter to them. It is very comforting.

I walk in to the office and immediately am greeted by smiling cheerful ladies. They always s make me feel like I am family and I am the most important patient of the day. Dr. Jen and Dr. Berger are top notch dentists and will do all they can to help you to make your teeth beautiful..hands down they are the best..Also all of the assistants are amazing too.
