Dr. Koester received his dental degree and graduated magna cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL. He received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, IL.
Dr. Koester is Invisalign and Laser certified. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Delta Sigma Delta, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Very friendly, and compassionate hygienist with very clear transparency for your every dental concern or need. Was astonished by the very integrated use of modern technology they have available to show you literally every millimeter of your teeth and gums plus the review over all this information made it a breeze to decide wether I was a terrible flosser or not. Very satisfying for someone who hasn't been to a dental office in quite literally years!

Absolute terrible service! People there are rude, bad service was not thorough or considerate. Plus they said I would have to wait 6+ months just to have a full examination before they would do any work. They charged me for an emergency visit after saying my insurance covered it.

Friendly staff and always running on time. I pay out of pocket and they are very reasonable. Full testing for cancer and cavities. I feel very satisfied with the service.

The staff at Dental Group of Carbondale are great. Dr.Koester is very good, he explains what he is going to do and always asks if I have questions. My test are in the best condition ok n that they have ever been as nd I attribute that to Dr Korster and all of his staff

Best cleaning ever and the office staff was wonderful. I highly recommend this dentist office and can't imagine going anywhere else. I've been going here 4 years now and I still fell this is the best dental office I have ever been to. I can't recommend this place enough - just outstanding.

Excellent and caring professional service. Offering advanced patient education. They do try to upsell patients, but are willing to take a "No Thanks" as an answer. They implemented sensible Covid-19 precautions. Thank you very much!

Heather did a great job of explaining what she was doing and why it was important or helpful throughout the entire process. Even when she was telling me things I could work on, it wasn't in a way where I felt shamed or judged- she just explained why it was important, which I appreciated. I also had an issue with a tooth that I felt like was not properly aligned after another office re-glued an implant. When I went to the other office to ask for a correction on that tooth they told me that there was no way it was hitting and that there was nothing they could do. The Dental group of Carbondale listened to my complaint, and looked at imaging that showed it has been hitting and made the proper correction. It is nice to finally have a dentist that takes your concerns seriously. I am from 5 hours away and have been searching for a dentist I like. I have been to 3 other dentists in the area and none of them compare to the quality & care I received here.

I've been a patient here for several years and every time everyone is very accommodating to my needs and so nice!! When I'm scheduled for my appointment they are always ready and get me in & out in a timely manner!! And that's why I keep coming back!

Really happy I found Dental Group of Carbondale! I needed a lot of Dental work done, and felt the staff and Dr Koester DMD were experienced and caring throughout my many months of Dental work.

I love the Dental Group of Carbondale. Great service, very knowledgeable, and super friendly. They take your concerns seriously and does a thorough investigation. I have not met a dental hygienist yet that wasn't gentle and caring. The dentist is also really nice and will not do any service unless it is necessary. I would recommend them to anyone.
