Dr. Gupta and his team are frequently attending continuing education courses and seminars to remain in touch with the newest advances in dentistry. As a courtesy to our patients, we will gladly bill your insurance for you. We accept assignment of benefits from most insurances, meaning that your insurance will pay our office directly for your services. However there are some insurances, that only allow payment to be sent to the subscriber (you). If this is the case we will do our best to notify you in advance. Any claim not paid by your insurance will become your responsibility.
If you are a new patient to our office, these New Patient Forms will need to be filled out when you arrive at our office. Printing them, filling them out and bringing them with you will allow us to attend to your medical needs more quickly than completing them on your arrival. The Dental First team believes that everyone should be able to have access to dental care regardless of their financial situation. We try to give you many treatment plan options tailored to your specific needs and prioritize treatment as needed. Every person is different, so the cost of treatment will vary from patient to patient. We will discuss the fees and help you choose a payment option before you begin treatment so that you know exactly what to expect without any surprises.
We try to obtain all of you dental benefits from your insurance company before your first visit with us and will gladly file your dental insurance claims for you. Since we have a lot of experience with insurance companies we will do all we can to maximize your benefits. We accept both in-network and out-of- network plans. Dr. Gupta was born and raised in Columbia, Maryland. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Neurobiology Physiology from the University of Maryland, College Park after high school. He stayed in the Baltimore area while attending the University of Maryland Dental School. Dr. Gupta furthered his training by spending one year at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center. There he received advanced training in all aspects of general and implant dentistry. Since that time, he moved to Virginia and now has a busy private practice in Springfield. He married his wife Paroni in 2007 and now has twin boys. Dr. Gupta puts in a tremendous number of hours advancing his knowledge and stays current with advanced methods and materials through extensive continuing education, study clubs, and active association memberships. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the Virginia Millenium Study Club.

Dr. Gupta is awesome and Lucy the office manager is really helpful and knowledgable about dealing with insurance. The new offices are beautiful. Super modern with state of the art equipment and flat screen televisions to keep your mind off any dental work.

Dr. Gupta and the staff at Dental First Associates took my fear out of going to the dentist. For decades I did not go to the dentist. If I had found this dentist earlier it would have saved me a lot of dental issues. Dr. Gupta even referred me to a dentist that did my root canal and it was not as bad as people make it out to be. I would refer any one to Dr. Gupta, especially if they have a fear of dentist.

By far one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. What I like the most about this office is how professional and personable everyone is. Raja and his hygienists work seamlessly together showing a true profession of the craft. I was very impressed and even said something in the middle of my operation. Raja is amazing and I was happy to find out that I did not need something another dentist was recommending showing that he truly does care for the patients and does not try and perform an operation that is unnecessary for the patient. This will be my family's dentist as we grow in this area. I am happy I found his practice and hope more people get to experience this incredible service.

Dr. Raja Gupta and his team are so thoughtful and caring. I think I have been coming here since 2016? It was an Army dental appointment and I liked the team so much that I switched dentists. I highly recommend Dental First.
