Dr. Michael Carpenter, Founder and Owner of Dental Excellence of Napoleon, grew up in Henry County and graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1996. In 1998, he purchased a Napoleon practice to serve his neighbors and friends in Henry County and all over Northwest Ohio.
Dr. Augustine grew up in Archbold, attended Bowling Green State University and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he later served as adjunct faculty overseeing fourth year dental students. He also served as Staff Sergeant in the Air National Guard where he trained as a crew chief. We are absolutely thrilled to have Dr. Augustine on our team.
Dr. Amy Augustine, known as Dr. Amy to her pediatric patients, is a board-certified pediatric dentist specializing in dental care for infants, toddlers, school-age children, and adolescents. In addition to years of pediatric-specific dental training, she has expertise in behavior guidance and a gift to communicate with children in an effective, gentle, and non-threatening manner.
Dr. Ellen Justus is originally from Huron, Ohio, and is the oldest of three siblings. Growing up in a family of nurses and pharmacists, she saw the value of helping people from an early age and wanted to do the same by pursuing a career in healthcare. She can recall an emergency dental situation she experienced when she was younger, and how grateful she was to the doctor who got her out of pain.
Dr. Adelle practices general dentistry at Dental Excellence of Napoleon. She graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School Of Dentistry in 2016 and completed her GPR (General Practice Residency) at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio where she received her certification in IV Sedation. She is planning on specializing in Dental Anesthesiology.
Dr. Ronald Fowler is a general dentist with advanced skills in wisdom teeth removal. His expertise gives dental practices throughout the state the opportunity to offer patients the convenience and cost savings of having wisdom teeth extractions provided right in the comfort of their family dental office. We are happy to offer his services to our patients. Dr. Fowler earned his Doctorate of MedicMD from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. He then went on to earn his GPR certificate from The Ohio State University.
Dr. Anbari practices periodontics at Dental Excellence Periodontics in Napoleon, Ohio. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Damascus University School of Dentistry in 1998. She completed her advanced training in Periodontics and Dental Implants at the Periodontology Department at Case Western Reserve University. During her periodontal training she earned a Master Degree of Science in Dentistry.
Dr. Taylor was raised in Monroe, Michigan where her father was a pastor. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Chemistry from the University of Toledo, and graduated from The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.Dr. Taylor previously practiced in Bowling Green, Ohio and is married with three boys. Her family and her faith are very important to her. She is passionate about showing Gods love through dentistry and has been very fortunate to be involved in international mission trips, where she provided dental care to impoverished populations in Costa Rica and Honduras.
Dr. Peter Nessif did his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University and graduated from the College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University in 1996. After graduation, Dr. Peter joined his father Dr. Terrance Nessif's private practice and the two have been in practice together ever since.
Dr. Peter is the president of The Toledo Dental Society, as well as an active member of The American Dental Association and The Ohio Dental Association. Dr. Peter is an associate member of the American Association of Endodontists.
Born in Toledo, Dr. Terry Nessif attended the University of Toledo, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Education. Dr. Terry then attended The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1963.

I was skeptical at first. They were so welcoming and attentive. After my exam, I figured I would look into a second opinion. It really wasn't that much money so I went ahead and booked my appointment. What a shocker. The entire staff is amazing. They use some very advanced technology in order to insure an excellent result. The dentist explained as we went, what he was doing. After he was done he went over pictures he had taken and exactly what he did. Five stars is no where near enough for their rating. I highly recommend Dental Excellence of Napoleon. They also have extensive children's dental. Simply put.... Awesome care and awesome service.

We have a son who was in severe pain from a cavity, so we booked an appointment at this "5-star Dentist". We have Medicaid, which we knew wouldn't be covered, but were willing to pay out of pocket for the procedure so our little guy could get some relief. We told them ahead of time we were uninsured, they said to come on down for a free consultation. We expected to get the consultation and schedule for a filling which we would pay out of pocket. However, when we got there, we were told they wouldn't even see us for a free procedure because we are on Medicaid. That would have been nice to know. Then they straight up lied to us and told us they could get in "legal trouble" for treating us because we're on Medicaid. That doesn't even make sense. Why would Medicare care if we paid for a procedure OUT OF POCKET, when Medicare wouldn't pay a dime? So all in all, it's a nice building, but they are not at all upfront that if you have Medicaid it's not worth it even to set foot in the building. They charge you $100 if you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, but if they promise you a free consultation and you drive down there, apparently it's ok for them to cancel on you right on the spot. Even when we get dental insurance we will not be going there, and we will tell all our friends and family to avoid this place. Worst service ever, and left feeling humiliated, to boot. Edit after reply: Maybe put on your website that you not only don't accept Medicaid, but won't even allow us to self-pay. Would have saved a ton of hassle. Better yet, consider accepting Medicaid. It seems two-faced to advertise how much you want to help people but will turn people away because they can't afford private dental insurance. Quote: " Do What's Right We choose to do the right thing, even when no one is watching. We understand our reputation is on the line." Do you think refusing service is the right thing to do? Also all that was asked was whether we are insured - we answered correctly, that we are uninsured because we do not have dental insurance. A better question would be "Are you insured? Yes or no, then a follow-up question - do you have Medicaid? Because if so, stay away."

Every visit here from day number one has been a great experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone. I have always been one since I was little to be scared from past experiences to go to the dentist but they make it so comfortable & reassuring for us every time. My old dentist didn't properly finish my root canal. Dental Excellence of Napoleon fixed me right up. I actually hate going to a Dentist. I don't mind going here. They make you feel very comfortable, calmed and are very caring. They are very straight forward in everything they do for you. I'll keep on coming back. Thank you for a job well done.

An amazing first time appointment for a routine visit and cleaning. My excellent hygienist Leah, took great care in finding out what was important to me regarding my oral health and coming up with a plan to keep me on track. The office is new, welcoming, clean and has up to date technology. Everyone I met was super friendly and had the most beautiful smiles. I look forward to being a life long patient!

The team at Dental Excellence personifies its commitment to its patients through every interaction, and our family experienced it firsthand within one week of moving Home. Dr. Carpenter, Dr. Amy Augustine, Dr. Abouarrage, and the entire staff helped our boys through some challenging moments in their young lives. We learned that jungle gyms can fight back, and balance is important. We are inexplicably and forever appreciative of the quick action, teamwork, compassion, and genuine professionalism shown by the Dental Excellence team. We will refer, go back, and hopefully continue to build our relationship with this awesome staff well into the future, one smile at a time.

After our long time dentist retired we were looking for a new. My husband is terrified of the dentist so we needed someone that could put his mind at ease! In addition two kids that needed to establish care. But the main factor was I was in the middle of getting two teeth implanted and needed a dentist to finish the crowns as I wasn't happy with our retired dentists replacement. Dr. Augustine was so kind and explained every step to me as well and making sure the new crowns were perfect. The assistants at both the impression and crown appointment were wonderful! After 10+ years of missing the teeth with a failing bridge they restored my smile to permanent! (I even burst into tears after they showed me my new smile) thanks again and look forward to continuing the care!
